I have to wonder if Vraska's endgame is simply to command the Golgari of if there's something more to it. I'd like to believe she's an agent of Bolas and we don't know it quite yet, but how the Golgari Swarm can exactly serve the Elder Dragon's ends remains a mystery to me. A veritable Terracotta Army at Vraska's disposal certainly seems useful though!

The Gruul (my niggas) and The Rakdos will take advantage of the chaos it unleashes and bring their own brand of destruction to the table. It'll be great to see the collapse of Ravnican society by the hands of the Jund-colored guilds!

Honestly, probably the Golgari. None of the Guilds really seem inclined towards artifacts, but Phyrexia and the Swarm both love cheating death over and over again.

I'm good with no Phyrexia. Hell, I'd rather Phyrexia and Dominaria be left to Magic's past, maybe revisited in stuff like Commander and other supplemental products.

Magic's best quality has always been the fact that instead of one setting it has potentially thousands of settings. When it actually explorers those planes, rather than using them as a stage where the Jacetice League can act out their plays in the last few blocks, has always been Magic at its best.
I was literally saying a few days ago I'd rather hear about golgari rot farmers than more jacetice league, and what do you know my wish came true.
7.5/10, only because I know they'll use this as an excuse to bring the Jacetice league in an ruin the whole competitative guild structure that's going on.

When it's at its best, yes. I am far more interested in Kaladesh as a plane than as the stage for the play staring Chandra being a teenaged girl with mommy issues.
Too bad we only saw one city, in the artbook they mention a few other cities but nothing much. But is there anything more to see? I mean we could visit a "rival" city with similar aestethics but different technology? Or perhaps a more green faction who believes no one should harvest aether?

Man, I am super hoping Hour of Devastation ends with the Jacetice League getting their shit slapped, and then on top of that, Vraska fucks up Ravnica cause Jace was off trying to be a Superhero rather than do his fucking job.

To be fair, it's Vraska. She could just be talking bullshit.
The Protean Hulk makes sure anything its preyed on gets spawned again from its eggs. The sisters were killed a few decades ago, so in all likelihood, they were talking shit about being the last of their kind, were kept in the dark by the rest of the gorgons living in places without Golgari, or the Hulks laid some eggs with some Gorgons in them.
