due to the new armor rules and the fact that radium carbines are ap 0 the omniplex are almost completely useless now as people won't be using their cover saves against you. On top of that most of the cult mechanicus units are unusable due to looking like crap.

Continuing anons from last thread because the 8th edition speculation was too strong for me. The Guard struck back by advancing threateningly towards the Space Marines in the words of one of the Priests "Put the fear of the Emperor and pointy sticks into those superhuman killing machines". Their fire was also fierce with lacannons severely damaged the enemy Rhino leaving the Marines inside shaking in their boots. The fire of the Guardsmen and their rifles was ignored as they were forced to look away from the advancing Deathwing Knights but their conscript brethren through some miracle of the Emperor and an artillery strike brought a few of the Marines down

I think the new monolith rules are cool and overall i just wanna see what alot of units rules are like in the new edition but alot of what they've spoiled so far just has me anxious to read the actual goddamn rules to try and make sense out of their choices. Are they really just trying to go with "AoS+ in space"?

Enjoy Doom, Infinite Overwatch, and Soulburst, and losing your KFF Meks and Painboyz to sniper fire, and not ever getting saves against Bladestorm since you start off at 6+ armor base.

Tempest Launchas focus on your Tankbustas first (since 2d6 shots, hitting on 3s/rerolling 1s). You hit rangers on 6s. Want to try to teleport? You will statistically lose in the Deny roll-off due to being up against Eldar.

This new guard edition is a clusterfuck. What do I even build? Vets are pretty much worthless without doctrines and only a few russ variants will be any good. Sticking 4 command squads loaded with flamers into a chimera looks fucking lulzy though. That Taurox prime too is scary as fuck, might have to get one and sort out some wheeled conversion.

Dude, vets are the best plasma gunners of the entire game. Set them up with orders and they hit on 3+, reroll in 1s. Pair that up with lascannons and the fuck ton of rerolls we will get from command points, and vets will be awesome.
