I think I have deduced why there is no Mark VIIII power armor. Mark X power armor has the helmet from the Mark IV and the neck collar of the MARK VIII. But they're in a crusade but it's not the Great Crusade so they lack something that the Mark II has. 4+8=12 but 12-2=10. This is the reason why we jumped to where we did.
