Our party caught a major financer and underling of the big bad and, after a failed bout of diplomacy, went to town on the poor man. We planted evidence on his men, got him into trouble with the city's police, and systematically destroyed his reputation as a banker, as a noble, and as a human being. We stole all of his assets (including wealth he's holding for other nobles as a banker) and used this to place embezzlement charges against him. We fabricated proof he turned on his own benefactors and became our informant, ensuring that the BBEG niw wants him dead as well. We used this as leverage to "protect" him from one of the bbeg's "assassins", obtained his gratitude, and used this as leverage to bamboozle all the informarion he knows about the bbeg and hia power structure.

Then, we unceremoniously executed him and disposes of his body so that no one could speak with dead him.

Starfinder relevant.

So how many of you are planning on converting your favorite class from Pathfinder to Starfinder when it comes out? I've personally got designs on the Summoner.

Starfinder characters can become Pilots, this not only includes starships but also includes gunships. Now you can play It Ain't Me while cutting the grass.

We know mechs are in, and I assume that requires piloting. Be prepared to make a proper speedster who's a maestro when given the wheel of a car or tank.

There's already a playtest of the space combat and it's good, it's kind of like Star Wars RCR's mechanics.

There was already a demo of space combat on one of the *cons.

It reminded me more of 40k's space combat. Though I suppose there's a limit to how you can do space combat in a tabletop game.

Really? It didn't seem to play like Battlefleet Gothic to me, it was way too fast. The ships closed distance within like a turn and had a pretty even spread of fixed vs. turret weapons, making your ship's orientation important.

He's okay to interact with on forums but playing with him, either as a GM or as a PC, is a fucking nightmare.

Enough adjustments will make anything work, but when you're talking theoretical, you should always be rigid.

PCs assume roles on the ship; Captain, Engie, Gunner, etc. and spend their action doing specific maneuvers most around buffing your ship's attack or defense. Also higher initiative acts last in movement so they can move reactively to get a better advantage while all attacks are considered to happen simo.

Knight Disciple sucks ass and eliminates much of what made the Paladin fun, go OD.

How often do unions produce viable offspring? If its rare then I'd think it'd be advantageous for them to be poly, otherwise I could see it falling more to culture and personal preference.

Yes and yes. Your armor and shields have values for each section of the hull, some are hardened in the front more, some in the sides, etc. Your engie can redirect shield energy from other areas to bolster ones that are exposed, that's one of their moves.

OD and Bushi both replace the third and eighth level bonus feats. they aren't compatible.

Captains give ship wide buffs as long as the other crew is following their orders.

I said shortly after this started that Protag was a bit too nice for his own good. Falling behind on your campaign prep to help a bunch of people make characters that wont make it into your campaign isnt a smart trade. Its not a huge deal, and Im still apping, but being too nice does have negative consequences.
