>watching British snap election >think of how amazing it is that they can just have a referendum out of the blue like that >amazing demoratic process >read twitter >Brits calling the conservatives racists and Nazis and the labour dumb socialists >then realise I'm in America we're Donald Trump is president and really is racist and Hillary Clinton is Orwellian
Any other Americans envious of British politics? It's so much less toxic than oursz

Trumps shit but i think he was a better choice than clinton But look on the bright side Whenever we have a string of bad presidents we usually get 3-2 really really good presidents afterwards

I can answer that. Just have the PCs be petty nobles interested in carving out a feudal kingdom by trading financial assets primarily levied from common folk to secure political favors and leeway, all while promising the commoners that they'll improve the same things they're pulling said assets from. And once they're in power give them an opposition to try and avoid "governing" alongside, along with a variety of ways to undermine their own authority and ruin their standing in the broader world.

Damn frog, do even french even care about it?

You know, I was actually listening to something about this on NPR earlier.
Basically, the Brits hate politics and their politicians, so one of the theories the guy shared was that a lot of people were annoyed with having this election out of nowhere for no reason. However, he also shared that their parties are becoming more and more polarized in what is shaping up to be a terrible imitation of American politics. Now get your bullcrap off of Veeky Forums.
Henry Phillips
That sounds like a hilariously wrong American take on foreign politics.
Anyway, let's celebrate this pornography thread the mods are letting us have.

It's at the very least totally ignorant of the pre-Blair era. People had also been clamoring for a mandate for Brexit for a long time, and the perceived motives in calling it and Labour surge were a lot bigger factors than "I'm frustrating we are having an election". A lot of sitting MPs were probably annoyed by it, sure!
> the Brits hate politics and their politicians Very much not true as a rule. Might be true in particular for the current lot, but not true for the same Brits and the same politicians
This election was complex. You can see that in how knife edge a lot of the results were.

It will be a loss when he dies.
I think there is already a petition going around the House of Commons to make the job of opening a new government with a snarky and irreverent remark an official thing.
