>Mara Jade

Will always be canon in my heart

especially over this new crap

Hey, it's still possible. What with the running theory that Rey is Luke's daughter and all, we don't know who the mother is. And having an imperial mom would explain the accent.

>And having an imperial mom would explain the accent

At the age her parents left the planet, she would have been far too young to retain an accent inherited from them into adulthood.

What do you guys think about this for a TIE Interceptor fix, especially for generics?

- All TIE Interceptors get PTL for free, regardless of slots.

- May equip Hull Upgrade as an additional mod for 1 point.

Wait until TIE/FO Interceptor comes out and gets +1 shield and a tech slot.

Also if it is actually TIE/FO Interceptor by the rules that means any "TIE Interceptor" only upgrades/conditions would apply to it.

It could be that the most of the planet's inhabitants speak imperial english and are some form of refugees.

However, if she had an imperial mother it would likely be hand-waived as the reason that she speaks the emperor's tongue.

I don't like the PTL for free, maybe make it a title that costs 2 points and cannot be equipped if you have the "ept" upgrade option.

However, an alternative "fix" may be the use of other specialist titles.

Like "TIE/IN refit" 0 points, must equip the autoblaster upgrade and pay the requisite points.

I figured PTL for free for a couple of reasons-

Firstly, It's an auto-take on every single interceptors, and the bad Interceptor pilots are considered to be bad because they can't get PTL.

Giving PTL to even those that have EPT slots means that those pilots can take something like Juke or Predator or the like, actually giving them some sort of build flexibility beyond "Take PTL, Take Autothrusters, Take Stealth/Targeter/Hull/Shield if PS 6+.

Right now, TIE Interceptors, especially the generics, are in a bad place.

No TIE Interceptor generic would ever pay for an Autoblaster if they have to pay 5 for it. It would only see use on the top aces, likely Targeting soontir. The question there is "Would you be willing to pay 39 points for a 3 health ship without stealth device?" Due to bombs and alpha strikes existing, the answer is no.

The point of this is to fix the generics- due to decreasing marginal returns, any EPT slots after PTL are less valuable than the original (PTL filled) one was initially.

I don't think that the /FO status of the new interceptor is going to be a title. Also, if the new ship somehow means that the original interceptor doesn't get a fix, I'll be pissed.

Hopefully that the fix comes in that pack, i'd hope for what I came up with or the like- Something to fix the PTL auto-include and the shit nature of anyone not named carnor or Soontir.

Fuck Captcha, I had to select signs 7 times.

I meant more that you'd wait for your Fix to the interceptor to just be a new ship, like with the T-70 so far. But yes, if the name is right then an TIE Interceptor upgrade would work for both.

I heard it was going to be called the First Order TIE Advanced.

TIE/ADFO for a short name I guess?

She's too kawaii uguu

I really dislike the way FFG balances X-Wing and find it a huge turnoff.

>ADFO
FOAD has a nicer ring to it.

TIE/In

Title, TIE Interceptor only

At the start of the activation phase, you may perform a barrel roll.

Once per turn, when you would receive a damage card, you may spend an evade
token to discard the card.

0 points

I mean, that's a figurine by a Japanese company for a Japanese audience. So that's kind of a given.

That said, in the source material she is pretty damn tsundere for Luke.

>tsundere for Luke

I've been rereading the Thrawn trilogy, and that's the perfect word for it.

>B-baka Skywalker-san! I still want to kill you! I j-just need your help to rescue Karrde-senpai!

Honestly the bantam EU era would have been immensely improved I'd they'd just let zahn have his romantic ending in The Last Command

Eventually, nerfs to mindlink, jumpmasters, Slam Bombs/Sabine, Biggs, and TLT, alongside X-wing and TIE interceptor fixes, will come.

Is Commander/Squadron Leader a good starting spec? I'm trying to make a character that's equal parts pilot and party face, and so far it seems like the best bet.

Depends on how much XP you're starting with. If you're spending any of the species-based XP on a new spec, don't. That's for boosting Characteristics.

How often do you / your group / your DM spend advantage/threat/triumph/despair according to the BRB, versus according to rule of cool / narratively?

How about:

Title: TIE/In

Once per Turn, when you perform a Boost or Barrel Roll action, gain 1 Focus Token.

-2 Pts

So it's sort of a reverse Jake Farrel sort of thing.

Another idea is that they get a free action in their Activation step, before they get a chance to move, so it doesn't pair up too well with PTL because if you're stressed from using PTL the turn before you can't use it.

Should've clarified. I meant as a starting career/spec, not as an additional spec purchased during character creation. Like, is Squadron Leader even any good?

It's solid

Only when we can't think of anything immediately to use it for.

It's not going to be a point reduction for a pure benefit. While the SV and x7 arguably are bonuses - x7 comes at the cost of upgrade slots and the fact that Mk II is a must can technically be to your detriment. If it's a cost reduction for squnts and has an effect, there at least has to be an opportunity cost. Like you could no longer perform focus actions on your own but instead you get the tokens only when you reposition, or something. Light Syck is very much like, a double negative which adds a couple positives (No mods, auto crits vs point reduction and an additional pair of greens)

An interceptor "fix" (Keeping in mind I still occasionally hear about Fel, Carnor Jax and some of their others in play as is. I think there are still some ships which are historically more barren than they) would probably be a 0 point ability which makes them feel in cost and makes them better able to play. Something akin to A-Wing Test Pilot. If they just wanted to have it improve generics or EPT less Interceptors nobody takes right now, keep it mutually exclusive with RGI.

I thought Mara Jade had fatter tits than that.

BRB? Base rulebook?

I'd say about 70% of the time my player just wants a boost to the next roll, to recover some strain, get additional info, etc. and 30% of the time they come up with something different. Triumphs are the exact opposite, though.

She's always been described as having a skinny dancer's sort of body, which isn't exactly conducive to tig ol biddies

It isn't bad at what it does. It gets two ranks of Quick Strike and Command, as well as getting Field Commander well before Strategist does. It's also pretty good at piloting, getting Brilliant Evasion, Form on Me, and two ranks of Defensive Driving.

That said, if you're looking for a face as well as a pilot, Squadron Leader isn't the best for that. Your only social skill is Leadership. You're pretty good at that, but you don't have anything for Negotiation, Charm, or Deception, which are kinda the big three things you need to be a good face.

Assuming this is an AOR game, see if your GM will let you play a Smuggler from EOTE. Pilot gives you a badass pilot who still has Deception, and Charmer gives you an awesome face who still has Piloting (Space).

Means she's got one hell of an ass, though.

Nah, you're thinking of Jaina.

>That waist

That has to be photoshopped, no way there's a woman with an hourglass figure that pronounced.

You can do surprising things with fake tits and a tight-ass corset..

Do we have any idea how large an Imperial sector fleet would be?

I don't think those tits are fake, but she is most certainly wearing a corset.

Who is this arousing aviatrix?

Nvm found it. Apparently it's 2400 ships in total with 24 being Star Destroyers, divided into four groups of six ISDs and escorts.

Note that is the paper size for a sector group, a lot ended up being significantly smaller

Right, that's what i'm going with, since the sector i'm working on for my campaign is hilariously undermanned.

Keep in mind that about a third of those ships are noncombat, and not all or even the majority of those 1600 other ships are going to be capitals, too
So a really undermanned sector group could quite conceivably have maybe 200 combat ships, maybe 40 of which are larger than a corvette or patrol boat

Yeah the 'big' numbers stuff are probably late-empire era where they've got the war machine up and running and at points almost competent. The early empire and middle period are more or less a complete shitheap of old clone era warships, rattletrap Aquitens light cruisers, the odd ISD Mk1, Gozantis, Dreads, Victory's and other random shitboxes with engines that they could press into service with some pinhead Lt running them fresh out of navy school.

Plus of course, modernisation rolls from Core outwards.
So as the Core upgrades its junk to better ISD's, Interdictors, Vindicators etc, it just sends the crap they don't need out to the lesser regions they don't give as much of a shit about. There would be pockets of heavy defence here and there around critical systems that actually contribute something, but for the most part a base on the planet flying the flag, some shitty TIEs and maybe a customs cutter are about as fancy as it gets.

One thing they do have going for them is relatively decent logistics, fast-response squadrons and fairly large amounts of fighters. TIE's might be a suicide box with wings, but it does the job bothering yobbos in hotted up space trucks and pirates.

Trying to come up with a new Rebel list and I haven't used the ARC much. I want to use Norra with:

PTL
R2-D2
Vectored Thrusters
Kyle Katarn
Alliance Overhaul

Should I pair her with a typical Super Dash? Or I could pair her with a naked Bandit Squad Pilot and Chewbacca for damage control with:

Draw their Fire
C-3PO
Millennium Falcon (Evade)

What I would do, personally is:
Norra
Shara
Biggs

It's a pretty good joust wing

Ugh, I'm waiting for Fantasy Flight to finally get some TIE squadrons in stock for Armada.... Been out of stock for what feels like months...

fantasyflightgames.com/en/products/star-wars-armada/products/imperial-fighter-squadrons-expansion-pack/

Anyone else waiting for something in Armada to get back in production and shipped?

Here's some squads that came with the core set... I just got my Interdictor Class Star Destroyer...will post pics in a few...

It's the same manufacturer for X-wing which means they're not restocking until Wave XI and the Scum set are done being printed.

The Interdictor looks awesome, and I'm glad it was still in stock... Surprisingly, it's actually bigger than the Victory II class Star Destroyer...

About how much conflict will I be earning for pre-emptively attacking an assassin's guild?

whoops! Posted the wrong pic! Here it is...

Before I tore it open in eagerness lol...

...

Depends on the type of 'dancer'

You need to give us a bit more background.
>If the guild is planning to attack you or some other innocent(s)- that's generally doing the right thing
>If you just want to out-murder the murder hobos because fuck it- you're probably going to get conflict

The Interdictor and Victory together

>Depends on the type of 'dancer'
Given how Star Wars is, it could be figured that something along the lines of "Russian Ballet" is the sort of dancer meant, rather than the "LCPL Schmuckatelli (or in your terms Troopie Bruce or whatever the fuck)'s next ex-wife" type

The military will teach Trooper Bruce to dress himself, wipe his arse, shave, behave, drive trucks, don't take drugs, turn up on time and kill people.
What they do in their time, in their personal life is not a command decision provided it doesn't interfere with combat effectiveness or security...
>His NCO's and unit will tease him for every waking hour of every day

The rumours and stories about low ranking soldiers and NCOs marrying fat chicks, strippers and the 'technically human' are generally untrue though

Except the ones that aren't
They're all horrible and more real than you can imagine
May god have mercy on their souls

So I'm in a mixed group as the only FnD character, a starfighter ace who pilots whatever freighter the party hasn't abandoned/blown up at the time. Mostly EotE and some AoR shenanigans. We robbed a Hutt freighter for parts to supply Echo Base and in response they contracted an assassin's guild to hunt us down. These guys are pretty tough customers and made us flee last session, so I have been floating the idea that the best defense is a good offense and should pre-emptively strike the guild in an attempt to dismantle it or get them to call of the mark.

Well, the path of least conflict is to offer them a way out- say that you won't mess with them, if they don't mess with you.
>99% chance of 'fuck you'
>1% chance they actually accept
But if you offered and meant it, that's cool... now roll some proton torpedo's through their front door and murder the fucking shit out of every single one of them.

>The rumours and stories about low ranking soldiers and NCOs marrying fat chicks, strippers and the 'technically human' are generally untrue though
Probably because by sheer luck you cunts don't have enough money to pay motherfuckers to get married like the Americans do
Like I get the well meaning theory of it, but in practice you'd honestly get better results overall paying cash bonuses for getting fucking divorced or fuck, paying cocksuckers money for passing however many piss tests in a row, for fuck's sakes
Fuck it dog, they'd molest a baby for a quarter, kill them all, you'd still be unusually merciful considering all the terrible, evil things they'd have done

>Who is your waifu SWG?
Not Obiwan, just the statue. I just want to cuddle the damn thing.

Now get second 'dictor so you can cover the entire(almost) enemy deployment zone with G7X projectors. Then if you squadron with Rhymer and some buddies before the enemy moves you can hit them while they can't use defense tokens.

It probably won't win you the game, but the salt when you manage to sink something vital or expensive right off the get go is immense.

I mean, every single member has almost certainly done something to deserve a firing squad on a merciful day, so it's really more of a question of why you want to kill them, because even if they most surely deserve it, motivation is always important

lol not canon anymore literally does not exist

Basic wages for Aust Army are generally pretty good, about 60k for a private, 72k for a lieutenant- then add on some deployment bucks or special skills bonuses + incremental yearly increases and it gets quite reasonable considering a lot of it is tax free or tax deductible
Don't really remember how much the spouse allowance was

>waifu

Finn.

Wouldn't he be a husbando, in technical terms?

Depends on whether he's pitching or catching, really.

It's like you don't know anything about homosex, or something

Are we able to discuss Rebellion in this thread? Because I just played two epic games of it today and I'm on a high. It's crazy how it satisfies what I want in a board game, yet creates actual stories that are different every time.

Post whatever you want about it

...

Are there any stats out of Zygerrians in the FFG system?

Personally I feel that FFG has already delivered the Interceptor fix in the form of the Royal Guard title and putting 2 copies of PTL and 2 Targeting Computers in the Aces box.
Seriously right now the expectation is have a EPT capable ship w/ PTL to use RG for Authothrusters + Stealth Device (for evasion) / Hull (or Shield) upgrade (for survivability)

At the time the intention was to have PTL w/ RG for TC + Hull/Shield Upgrade for dice modification and increased survivability

The problem is that since Aces there's been new additions to the game (*cough cough* Jumpaster *cough cough* Protectorate *cough cough*) that can overcome the Interceptor's tricks. However there's no point "fixing" the Interceptor again (not to mention that doing so might make the Interceptor op)

Tl;dr The Interceptor was already fixed once and they're not going to fix it again; it's ineffective now because of stuff that was released after the fix

literally engineered for the purpose

That really wasn't much of a fix- even after that, generic pilots were still terrible, and making a card easier to purchase (PTL in the box) is not a fix. Why would you take a Saber squadron? RGT doesn't apply to them at all.

The issues with the interceptor are many- generics are terrible, only Fel and Jax see play, they lack punch, are incredibly squishy to alphas and autodamage, and incredibly vulnerable to any sort of control.

They need a fix badly.

There's a few NPCs in friends like these but no player stats.

sort of...

"Friends Like These" adventure module has stats for various zygerrian NPCs as well as ships and equipment generally associated with their species. But nothing insofar as stats to run a zygerrian PC.

It's advanced slam and green dice that hamper interceptors in general. The latter was taken care of with palp and autothrusters. Palp aces would be mostly fine but for advanced slam sabine bombers deleting ships before they can move.

Interceptors have a decent crop of pilots, more than most ships. Soontir and Jax are still high tier. Alphas, Turr, and Royal Guards are playable. The rest are poor to garbage.

It's alright, I want to use one as an Inquisitor as an antagonist. I'll take a look at the adventure and extrapolate what I need.

well at least she had a decent life, to a point...

Some unofficial ones people have done up

Speaking of, is it just me or does Lorrir's special barrel roll look more like he's drifting in space rather than doing a roll

I can't help but have Initial D music playing in my head whenever I see it

We call him Lt Tokyo Drift. God, I wish he was good. Mk2 Vipers when.

...

...

Best girl coming through

Just leaving this here for Rebel Podcaster so he remembers it does exist.

Also, mate, if you have the time consider a little tighter editing. I like your take on the Auzituck but it'd be even smoother if you cut out some of your mistakes or flubs

What are some good options to put on Shara Bey to support standard regen Norra and Biggs. Ive tried r2d2/draw their fire/jan ors to support a bb8 Norra but I was left a little underwhelmed (probably because I wasnt good enough at flying it). Norra was often dying first and then Shara struggled to close because of a lack of offence.

Ive been toying with some options but I wanna hear some better options because Im immediately drawn to jank.

I have 5 points to play with. I was thinking
>A score to settle/adaptability increase
>Rey
>R5P9

>A score to settle/adapability increase
>Tail Gunner
>R7-T1

>Veteran Instincts
>Tail Gunner
>BB8 maybe?

I want her to be able to stand on her own instead of just being built to keep Norra alive.

I didn't forget about it, I didn't consider it worth spending the points on instead of stuff like Vectored Thrusters or an Engine Upgrade.

This was the first video in a while that I didn't have a tight script for. Sorry for not editing it down.

Using the Star Wars RPG Revised Core Rulebook (and anything else from that version of the game), how would one create a 'beastmaster' character?
AKA, someone who tracks, traps, tames, buys, sells, and makes friends with alien animals and uses them as allies in fights? I figured Fringer or Force Adept multiclassed with Scoundrel, but I want to know the full span of my options here and don't know were to look.

Group is changing dms and systems, and it would be a shame to play in a setting with monsters as diverse as sw without making use of them.

Well, you phrased it kind of like it was an imperial upgrade specifically (though it is only in Imperial Aces right now) I would mostly agree that it's not what you want to do - though if you wanted to make an offensive version of the Auzituck I think TC and actually getting target locks would be better than just Commandos and use both crew slots.

Not that I think the Auzituck is actually designed for offense inherently - it just has 3 ATK because it has many lasers and you need a reason to think about taking it.

So /swg/ im running a game for some guys in my local rpg community and because noone wants to do anything except d20 systems, we are using the Saga edition. I dont mind it, but to stop force user power creep its going to be Empire/Rebellion era. But there is a bigger problem than force users in this game.

Basically, i forgot how bad vehicle fighting is in general. So now im going to try and "fix" it be incorporating some of the newer FFG rules into the game, and i need help.

The players will be flying around in a yt2400 freighter and doing all sorts of shit, especially out running ISDs and fucking with TIEs in a post Yavin galaxy. I have the yt from xwing because dash is strong in my local meta, but how do i make space combat engaging for more players?

I considered giving the 'pilot' player the move dial, the gunners some shooting dice since they will be in the turrets, and whoever is left the ability to roll engineering checks to get back shield or hull? This could be really deadly in either direction since attacks are all down to the red dice and green dice, but i could give them green dice based on pilots skill?

Really im rambling and spit balling, and looking for opinions and suggestions if anyone has any.

Look through the list of space combat actions in FFG. See what you can translate.

In the edge of the empire stuff or in xwing?

Edge of the Empire. There's a bunch of stuff in there that isn't just Piloting and Gunnery.

Hey, so no one really gave any input last thread about my list for X-Wing so I'll post it again. The meta at my store appears to be allot of Scum and Imperial (majority scum) Most list ending up being 100 points even

geordanr.github.io/xwing/?f=Galactic Empire&d=v4!s!10::-1:-1:;10::-1:-1:;10::-1:-1:;239:27:48:31:;28:18:5:1:M.15&sn=Unnamed Squadron&obs=

So /swg/, what's your favorite system to play Force users in?
Also, new chapter. With a promise to write two more this week. archiveofourown.org/works/10943235/chapters/24964743

Youve gotta fill those 4 points somehow, but Im not sure how. Id upgrade the academy pilots to obsidian squadron pilots. Or maybe swap one to one of the cheaper named ties.
