Not strictly "evil", their goals and ideals just often coincide with evil overlords because they value strong leadership and steady supply of bbeq'ed meat and alcohol. Subpar farmers, but amazing swineherds if there's no war.

None of the above. Real (that is, Tolkien) Orcs had more or less normal skin colors, just coarser and uglier than is the human/elf/halfling norm.
