first for god damned WAACfags

Kindly no Gathering Storm/8th Edition, especially if you're just here to troll or shill. For all intents and purposes it's not the same universe or game.

NOISE MARINES BEST MARINES

SUCK IT CORPSE WORSHIPERS

SUCK IT KHORNEFLAKES

SUCK IT NURGLENOGS

SUCK IT AUTIZEENCHTISTS

Third for index play is gonna be dull as shit, codexes when

Who /Chaos/ here?

Stfu and deal with it. 40k is dead, long live 40k.

What purpose does a Riptide serve in the Tau army now?

Is there ever a reason to run more than 1 Riptide in Newhammer?

Lmfao

>having a pink colour scheme

Make your own thread.

shut the fuck up dummy

it's mainly something you bring so your opponent has something to fire their lascannons and meltas at

a fucking noiselet

But user, he's wearing a pink shirt...

How do missile launchers fare in 8th? Are they worth taking over other heavy weapons?

they are an okay catch all

So its a lascannon sponge?

With a 3+ invuln, 14 wounds, and a bunch of ablative wounds in the form of drones, seems pretty good.

Whats the downside to running more than 1?

Help me Veeky Forums, me and my friends just cant wrap out heads around charging rules.

Ok, so, marines disembark from a rhino and rhino drives forward so that only one marine can see one model of unit it's charging.
Only that one model is allowed to overwatch, right? right.

Ok but what if that one model actually manages to kill a marine in overwatch?
Is the charging player allowed to remove one of the marines the unit cant see or does he have to remove the one marine he can see?

If he removes the one marine that can see the unit he's charging, so that the charging unit can no longer see it's target, is it still allowed to charge?

Please help...

For all intensive* purposes

How does your army plan to deal with hordes this edition?

Mix and match your special weapons, one of those is decent anywhere.

And that actor is actually gay, coincidence?

Necron player here. I enjoy the aesthetic of Necron vehicles, and with the new edition I'm dusting them back off. I have:

2 Annihilation Barges
1 Doomsday Ark
2 Doom Scythes
1 Night Scythe
1 Monolith
1 Catacomb Command Barge
3 Ghost Arks

What should I pick up from there to make mechcrons good (or at least fun to play against)?

read the fucking rules dummy

get the rulebook leak

read it

dummy

Yes to the first question, no to the second.

I specifically make plans to ignore anything Veeky Forums says will be good because Veeky Forums is fucking horrible at tabletop games.

I honestly don't even know. I may just reject games with any army that doesn't have mid-to-low model count.

>2 doom scythes
>1 night scythe

>He doesn't know you can click the death ray and invasion beamer into place and it holds without glue or magnets

Spiders for repairs

So I'm thinking about getting into 40k after years of abstaining, due to shitty GW policies and a clusterfuck of rules. But I've played the roleplaying games, so given that I've played a lot of Dark Heresy I want to play Inquisition mixed with some Grey Knights for heavy support. Can I do that with the 8th edition?

If you do that GW will burn your models after you purchase them and your wife/girlfriend will cheat on you with a nigger. A fat nigger.

Yes, both have the keyword Imperium so you can run detachments of either in the same army.

Rally the servants of the Dark Gods

So. CSM units. what's hot and what ain't

At a glance having played a little bit:
Bad
>Warpsmith, too expensive, no real purpose, Maulers/drakes2fast2repair
>Oblits, random damage random everything makes for bad shooting
>Vindicator - Just fuck my shit up
>Cultists. will these be outclassed by Poxwalkers entirely?
>Mutilators. Too random but not terrible
>Possessed. See above. no deep strike, might be terrible.

Good: everything else.
Heldrake is now a Melee unit edition. Thoughts? i want the Warpsmith to be good since all the other heroes have a reason to exist now

Yep.

You can remove the marine from anywhere in the unit, and you don't need LoS to charge.

Dont mind me, just doing mortal wounds equal to 50% of your unit size

Is this model for real?

>If you do that GW will burn your models after you purchase them and your wife/girlfriend will cheat on you with a nigger. A fat nigger.
Why's that? is that some kind of cheese everybody will hate you for?

Own one. Necrons were unplayable in 7th without a Reclamation Legion, a Canoptek Harvest, and a Destroyer Cult
Yeah, but they're painted with squadron markings.

Ugh. So cancer.

Its not very points efficient now, especially if you choose to use the nova reactor every turn

Warpsmith is fine. Park him with armor and repair the shit out of it. Vehicles are such a huge bullet sponge now that adding even more wounds to it is amazing.

No, no idea what's up with him.

Best way to fight the IG mirror? Is the Vinidcare Assassin worth taking just to snipe Commies and Commanders?

Yeah

No, GW is just jewish and jews like influencing women to racemix and commit adultery. That's all.

This is the first time I've seen this model.

It would be if it wasn't a pathetic D3 damage.

Funnel em into a tight corridor and grind em out with my heavies.

I tried reading the rulebook but I dont understand any of it and it confused me.

Pleas help, I play Orks if that helps.

You dont need line of sight to charge a unit? so my boyz can charge through walls?

If it's conscripts, just move something durable onto the objective because you'll get first turn, then spend the rest of the game seeing how high you can get your kill count
If it's orks, deploy refused flank style and focus down the mobs, starting with one side (and the mob next to it)
If it's nids, shoot and/or punch synapse creatures then spend the rest of the game chewing through their shit troops

read it again

read it again after that

keep re-reading it

you want to be stupid your whole life?

put in the work to improve yourself

Yep. You could run inquisition, tempestus scions (storm troopers) and grey knights if you like.

Bring more conscripts than him :^)

109 pts for just a guy standing next to what..a Pred? seems like a bit of a waste. I wish you could just not buy the melta/flamer if he's resigned to that role

haven't played in ages

are the monsterous creature cancer/jetbike cancer nerfed yet

are walkers good yet

I'm hype for 8th but barebones is gonna suck, my store is very heavily CSM based so it's gonna be near mirror matches until we get marks, artifacts and specialist wargear back

>GW dumbs 40k down to aos levels
>still don't get it

wew my boy lad

Yes. Yes.

Unfortunately they are still not enough to counter the new cheese.

>repair guy
>aww man he repairs how lame
>wish I could disarm him so that I could have his repair ability for less points
you're a bit of a dummy aren't you

Yes, yes.

Orks are top tier cheese now.

Good start desu. What's the new cheese and can I counter it with my army of Drop Dreads

>You dont need line of sight to charge a unit? so my boyz can charge through walls?
as long as they can make the charge distance, yes
go read the rules for terrain if you want specifics about how different walls work

Still pay for flexibility, but they are actually decent anti-tank now (still mediocre anti-personnel for the price).

Given that you might be facing anything from an infantry horde to a wall of heavy vehicles and mixed lists might be actually quite rare (and some of them will start with everything in transports) I think the ability to switch is well worth it.

I'd even say taking missile launchers on absolutely everything that can have them is a viable tactic; pick a key enemy unit, fire all your missiles at it until it is no longer a threat, repeat. Their range helps with that too. With the new morale rules, concentrating as much fire as possible onto a single squad can be very efficient; you will end up removing twice as many models as you kill if you do it to the right target.

shut the fuck up dummy

Drop pods are over 100 points now, so probably not.

And it's Orks, Guard and Nids.

Why is 40k so cute and kawaii?

>And it's Memes, Memes and Memes.

Thank you. Then I'll do that. I suppose I can also mix in Assassins, working for the Inquisition?
I know 8th isn't out yet, but anything I should keep in mind when mixing units?

Are you ok user? Do you want to talk?

>army of drop dreads

People like you are the reason anime was a mistake. I say this as someone who actually enjoys anime.

>374 points

don't encourage him

>up to a maximum of ten

You should keep in mind that the rulebook leak is in the OP and you should read it dummy

Not until I get my codex you big bully

How much for that model?

Enjoy paying on average about 300 points per dread + drop pod.

Also did I mention that objectives are won by numbers and not formation fuckery anymore.

Why are there not more knock-off titans?

I figure it would be possible to design one to be made of laser cut mdf of something

that's the only girl this lvl of cute in Japan, that has ever touched 40k or stuff related. I know because I lived and played miniature games in Japan for over a year.

Dreads can't take drop pods anymore.

But user she is Chinese.

>dummy samefag

What hot new meme is this?

fair enough. will do.

They can, but only FW pods.

Yeah. You can run assassins. You can run inquisition with sisters of battle too for that ordo hereticus feel if you like.

>she will never challenge you to a game and sit across from you during the battle in her maido outfit and slip a shoe off and rub her stockinged feet against your leg to distract you as you wonder which unit you should erase with your 50 mortars armylist

Just imagine to slip your hand under that skirt to get a feel before she gets so horny she fucks you right on the gaming table as soon as you show your painted 2k points of minis.
I would her even let her roll my morale checks with dice out of her pussy.

If this does not arouse you just imagine that she has a thick penis hiding behind that starter box

very well. then forget my comment.

I don't realy get why they made pods so shit. Its a pretty iconic way for marines to deploy.
Luckily I only bought and started painting one for my SW army but it still sucks that I can't put my dread or wulfen in it.

Good luck, the mold is broken. I don't know if The New Games Workshop (tm) will include rules for it.

>If this does not arouse you just imagine that she has a thick penis hiding behind that starter box

Just tell us how long you've been on NoFap already.

...

You don't want to pound a futa in the pussy until she creams all over herself?
Gay.

>sitting down whilst wargaming

immersion lost already

Snipers of all sorts are likely to be key for dealing with buffed hordes. Forget the question of whether they'll kill their points in characters, it's about enabling the rest of your army to chew through the conscripts/boyz/gaunts they were protecting.

Like says, though, the Vindicaire's damage is weak (though there's always command point rerolls for that). Straightforward scout snipers might be a better shout.
