The Imperium(read: GW designers) uses a lot of recycled symbolism, SoB still use the Fleur-de-lis. Playing cards were probably an STC and are now considered holy symbols by the AdMech.

Basically infantry spam from any given faction. Classic example would be something like IG with two Conscript blobs (300pts for two blobs of 50), along with a Commander and Commissar (30pts each, IIRC).

Thanks, I was thinking of grey, black, & red. I know the colors are uninspired but I'm a fan of Red Tailed hawks (pic related) & was planing on doing something similar to the Hawks markings on an Inceptor Squad, but a more vibrant red, & the brown & white switched to black & ash grey. I'm not trying for too much crazy colors, just an interesting placement. Maybe a skull & other bones painted on veterans, because of their ancestor worship. But that is only if I feel confident after painting it basic.

Scouts, are they worth taking now? Snipers, CC, or bolters if they are?

Or would I be better off with a min squad of tacs. Whichever I take will be slapped onto the Dark Imperium Primaris (dropping a lieutenant and ancient).

Three plasma guns for 200+ pts is pretty bad. Its the range that kills it though, if it had a 48inch on the ectoplasm it would be a decent anti teq vehicle.

Screen units deal with charges, and it's a land raider with a 4++. So it's slightly tankier than the land raider. It'll die to enough anti-tank, but it definitely will not go down without a fight.
The thing it seems to struggle against is small elite infantry like termies. It doesn't get a massive amount of shots against them nor does it have copious amounts of damage, so it takes a while to whittle them down, 2 turns to be exact.
