Depends on the platform I think, my combi-melta Chaos Terminators have done well for me (but that's mostly because of Warptime allowing you to get within melta range.)

For 636 points you can get:

>Sorcerer in jump pack
>10 terminators with combi plasmas
>sorcerer casts 'prescience' on them, using rerolls to better secure it if needed
>terminators now do 20 shots of S8, AP-3, 2 Damage shots, hitting on 2s.
>if you include a chaos lord with jump pack for as little as 93 points, you can reroll ones.

Hard to Hit is on whatever page your unit is on. It's a unit specific rule, and not all fliers have it.

I'm not buying it. I'm just helping them out with their warhammer stuff, and I'm concerned that it will never move with Dark Imperium out, especially since the rule book in the DV box is outdated.

Is there any benefit to paint them as BA over Vanilla? Do they get any special rules?

Depends on what they are taken on. Tempestor Prime with 8 Plasma Command Squad Scions easily beats meltas because of the overcharge reroll orders and deepstrike within rapid fire range.

I wouldn't reduce the price at first to see whether they can still sell them for the full price, but if they cant then i would decrease the price by 20-30 percent. The armies are still valid, thats and the box is still cheaper than buying them alone.
I prefer GW models, they (usually) look better. The main reason why i dislike Anvil and Victoria is because i had an Anvil fanboy( he still played 40k, but whenever we talked about models he wouldn't shut up about Anvil models and how they are all so much better than GW ) in my gameclub who just ruined Anvil and Victoria for me by being an annoying ass.

I'll give you that for the Scourges, but there is a good example of a straight up Succubus being an Archon. Archon Xellian of the Blades of Desire.

Since 8th released I can't seem to get close enough to 500 pts with my AdMech/Skitarii basic box (since I'm missing some stuff like relics I guess?). Am I missing something, or am I just really dumb because I'm a newbie to this whole thing?

HQ: Tech Priest Dominus
>Macrostubber, Volkite Blaster, Omnissian Axe, Refractor Field
>135 point as he's basic

Troops: one 10man troop of Skitarii Vanguards
>9 standard Vanguard, 1 Alpha (10 pts each for 100 pts)
>Equipped with 3 Plasma Caliver (14 pts each, total 42)
>Alpha got the standard loadout (Radium carbine, nothing else)
>got the Omnispex (7 pts)
>Total points here 149

Heavy Support: Onager Dunecrawler
>Comes with a netron laser and 2 Heavy Stubber (45+8+8)
>Total for 151 points

Should I add anything equipment-like in there (other weapons for Dominus or the Alpha maybe?) or is this 435 list ok so far? I feel like I'm missing out on stuff.
