Shit thread so early? not even 11 mate

>it's a shitpost thread episode

Sigh.

>falling for the reissue meme

>W-Why won't anyone buy my models?

Coming back to 40k I haven't played since 5th edition. Was going to start a Tau army because I wanted a battlesuit heavy army. Since they have nerfed that into the ground I am thinking either a Dark Eldar or Necron army. Can anyone give me a quick run down on the pros and cons of each ?

>tau battlesuit heavy army nerfed into the ground
nigga what?
Literally only the riptide is unusable and crisis are less than ideal but every other suit is currently fucking great as of 8th so far, even the FW XV109 riptide variant is good. dafuq you smoking user?

>Since they have nerfed that into the ground
they've only been nerfed down to the same level as everyone else.

if you want to play them theres no reason not to.

Oh god I actually feel something.

Christ that's so sad.

>mfw that's a picture I made by combing the others together in an order I thought was better
>mfw people saved it and are using it to shitpost

Dunno how I feel desu.

What's wrong with Riptides? Not got round to reading it yet. I preordered the Xenos FW Index but it ain't arrived; was that a community release (the variant)?

Yeah battlesuits are viable and fun.

Regardless, DE are speedy glass cannons done right (so they don't die as you deploy) and Crons are sturdy and reliable as warriors resurrect and some vehicles have that crazy ass shield that works very well to prevent damage

rate my army.

Want to make a Behemoid Undercult army, including their living saint Old One Eye.
their brief fluff snippet mentions theyve taken over multiple worlds so i was going to ass-pull that lieutenant patriarchs to take local command of worlds are a thing and model the warriors as those.

I'm trying to rearrange the order in my head and I cannot possibly see any other way it would be any sadder than what I got.

Do you have the source?

What else should I do to this guy to make him look a bit more like an Inquisitor? He will be one of the ones leading the Arbite Acolytes. I think I'm going to add some I's somewhere.

The 3rd image was probably the 1st one originally.

Mind showing me what a viable battlesuit army looks like in this edition?

Just the Is i reckon. Otherwise he looks good as is.

>No list builder link in OP
Shit thread is shit.
Who wants to take bets about who the first faction to get a codex is?

Riptides are too expensive and not durable enough for what they do.
You can literally get 2 valks that have the same toughness and wounds as a riptide for the same or less points than a riptides.
The XV109 was on the community yes, it look pretty good, with a 2d6 flamer that eats everything and the anti-vehicle ionic discharge cannon with like 18" movement or something

I've been reading it is better to take a commander than 3 crisis suits, riptides just aren't worth it and it is better to have a lot of fire warriors and pathfinders. Is this not true ? I only liked tau because of the crisis suits and big battle suits, if fielding a bunch of little guys is how the army plays now I may as well play a more interesting army.

Are Razorwing Flocks the best anti-coscript option
7 points for 12" movement and 8 attacks hitting on 5s

It can be arranged pretty much anyway. I added the extra frame. Since it was posted individually.

Source I got it from:

you fucking faggot

Space Marines, is that even remotely in doubt?

>Who wants to take bets about who the first faction to get a codex is?
How new are you

>mfw this picture is no longer viable in 8th

I am sad.

Yeah I don't want to play tau if the best way to play them is to mass fire warriors and pathfinders. Who the fuck plays Tau for the infantry? The only exciting part about the whole army are the battlesuits.

In regard to this Indonesian yodelling blog-board or warhams?

Yeah that was a dumb question.

Better one: What'll be the first faction to get a codex after the starter set ones?

And you still get those, you just can't ONLY have those. Combined arms are important.

>reading Index 2 Impeium
>get to Catachan
>no Sly Marbo

REEEEEEEE. IF YOU DON'T DO A WARZONE CATACHAN AND HAVE HARKER AND STRAKEN FIGHTING BADRUKK AND LOSING UNTIL SLY MARBO ARRIVES AND SAVES THEM I WILL CRY.

Give us a new model of Sly Marbo... please. He's popular enough and you gave him rules in Shadow War.

I actually like Fire Warriors in terms of models, but I also love Broadsides and Riptides. Not a fan of the others. Ghostkeel looks OK I guess. Also no formations for KX139 with 3 of them sucks.

Warhammer

That's a better one.

I'm guessing either Dark Angels or Imperial Guard.

Before you call this guy a fag, can I point out that since 3rd edition they've made essentially no effort to actually make Tau infantry interesting?

-Only pathfinders get specialist weapons
-Only one new unit introduced, and it's a horrendously executed short range fire unit with largely the same appearance as regular fire warriors anyhow

I'm going to stop looking at this.

It's like I feel the weight of every property and piece of media I love get fucked over by the incompetent people who own the rights to them.

>DA or IG
>not Codex: Chaos "6th Edition" Space Marines

Could be death guard

It'll likely be both desu.

Hmm, you have a good point there actually.

Maybe we'll get Codex: Adeptus Astartes, Codex: Heretic Astartes, and then a campaign book with the full Death Guard + Nurgle Daemons update ike Wrath of Magnus did for TSons/Tzeentch Daemons?

Then whatever comes after that will have the Dark Angels update with Lion.

I get that, but I only wanted to take the bare minimum for infantry. They are just fairly boring models and just aren't exciting. Personal opinion obviously, I am sure some people love fire warriors. Either way I can't run the kind of Tau army I want without being somewhat disadvantaged, so I am asking about DE and Necrons.

Nah, loyalist marines are the poster boys, its always them.

Plus GW have revealed the primaris transport and dreac that'll be coming with it.

When is the new SM codex expected to arrive?

Well, to be fair, Sisters did at least get two new models last year. They'll come eventually. Also Repressors are fun! Stick a load of Heavy Flamer gals in there and suicide charge a blob.

Mortarion and the Grand Cultavator are the next Chaos releases, with the Repulsor and Dread for the Primaris Marines. The next Primarch, loyalist, is probably The Lion (this is a long standing rumour though). With the next traitor being either Angron or Fulgrim.

2 or 3 weeks I'll bet.

I give it before the end of July.

Does anyone have pictures of the Primaris marine GWs gave out if you preordered? Both assembled and on sprue if at all possible.

sure, I can swap out some drones+wargear for another stealth team if needed
what are stormsurges, ghostkeels, stealthsuits, XV109s, broadsides?

Oh don't say you had to preorder the fucking box set to get limited edition models... I preorderd the fucking LE rulebook box and I get fuck all.

>Warhammer
Started when I was 12, so 11 years.

I'm expecting a curveball and seeing a release like Admech or maybe Death Guard.
I'd say they're going to wait until they get non-snapfit Primaris marines onto the shelves before doing the marine dex.

I heard that it's going to be the basic marine they give out to beginners now, rather than the normal marines.

Weren't chaos first in 6th?

They also gave them out for free as a painting tutorial sample in some stores. It's just a bolt rifle Primaris with a scenic base that has some spent shells and some rubble with skull bricks in it.

>I'm expecting a curveball
Are you just forgetting this is GW? The whole point of releasing the new codex will be to get the non-snapfit Primaris Marines onto the shelves, they won't release them without rules.

Thats so sad. Someone need to sends this to GW. They will understand, they have to.

>Mortarion and the Grand Cultavator are the next Chaos releases, with the Repulsor and Dread for the Primaris Marines. The next Primarch, loyalist, is probably The Lion (this is a long standing rumour though). With the next traitor being either Angron or Fulgrim.

Are the Death Guard and Primaris releasing simultaneously?

>Mortarion and the Grand Cultavator are the next Chaos releases, with the Repulsor and Dread for the Primaris Marines.
There's more than that coming.

Total releases we'll see over the next month or two will be:

Primaris Intercessor/Hellblaster kit
Primaris Inceptor/Aggressor kit
Primaris Reiver kit with a possible other option
Some fourth Primaris infantry boxed kit
Primaris Overlord Flyer
Primaris Repulsor Gravtank
Primaris Redemptor Dreadnought
Primaris Apothecary
Primaris Librarian

Plague Marine kit
Plague Terminator kit
Plague Drone kit
Grand Cultivator
Mortarion
Plague Vindicator-type tank
Possible other Death Guard releases
New Great Unclean One

If I like orks aesthetically, but I hate playing foot horde amies, am I basically boned? I love the way their vehicles look, but I can't stand the thought of painting and moving like 150+ models around the table every turn.
Are kult of speed and/or kan wall style lists still viable at all?

God damn.

I made several versions of the picture. I think this one is the saddest And we did it to GW about 4 years ago. Pic related.

I thought it was specifically Mortarion and Grand Cultavator NEXT rather than the only things. Oh I dunno user, so many rumours.

Rustalkers: They're shit but they look too cool to not take. Which equipment setup makes them less shit? 2 Transonic blades or a Transonic razor + an Arc claw?

100 fucking years had passed and the Ynnari still can't get the last crone sword to awake Ynnead. bitch what the fuck you been doing?

Ynnead probably awake eventually and they get 1 shot by Slaanesh and shatter into pieces like Khaine. And in the far back we have Cegorach rubbing hand and say :"Just as planned"

Yes, both are great.

It takes time to release a range covering so many pewter models.
With 8th, Guillimarines and Death Guard on the table Sisters won't see anything for a good while.

Get sum bikes and join da kult of speed, ya grot!

>bitch what the fuck you been doing?
Guilliman

Claw and Razor, they're all shit so mind as well take the cheaper one.
Also don't forget to ask you oppoenent to use inv sv so your AP 0 weapon didn't look shit.

what date is the setting currently at? 41,099?

...

I guarantee you that everything in that post is 100% correct except for the Librarian, which is still very likely I just don't have confirmation. No idea the exact order they'll release them in, this stuff tends to either come out in waves over the course of 2-3 weeks or they just release all the kits at once with the Codex. I can see the Primaris release being multi-week stretched out, the Death Guard release might just be one big drop.

Time are not consistent anymore, there're like 5 different timelines discovered already. Some are at 42, and some still stuck at 41.

Well... I just want Blood Angels specific Primaris kits because they just don't look good all red, sadly.

Those won't be coming out with this summer release. If they do at all it will be if/when Blood Angels get a Codex/Campaign book.

...

Nobody knows any more, Ordo Chronos has to have their shoelaces taken way to stop them from hanging themselves

And then once they're done it's Ministorum right?

Lol. Probably not even happening this year.

Wew. Always gets iffy in this situations.

I assumed as much. It's a shame.

YOU LIE. You that old tripfag, Shaso'Rymr or whatever?

I am not him.

Also, if I ever do hear anything about an actual honest-to-god Sisters update, I won't even bother telling anyone because at this point nobody will believe it.

So i said to a mate "got any spare bug parts for me to scratch build a nid with? I dont wanna keep it just wanna make something" and this is what he gave me to tinker with.

Gonna sort it all now but when im down id appreciate some ideas on what i should build, got plenty of greenstuff and tools, i just dont really play i mainly model/paint so i have no idea what should and shouldnt be on a nid, or what arms/weps are for what.

Holy Shit, the Story of pic related is fucking sad.

I can help you out with that

Yeah. I didn't. The tripfag said there was gonna be a sisters update last year. I didn't believe him. Then the two models came. All of Veeky Forums did the OMG THESE 100% NEVER WRONG SOURCES SAY THEY'RE COMING. And they didn't. And the 100% NEVER WRONG sources backed out going

>y-yeah n-not yet! S-soon though!

It's bollocks. If SoB were getting an update; it'll be when everything else has been settled down.

How much information do you have access too?

My dude! Well check back shortly because onces its sorted ill take a photo of all the heads, then all the arms etc and let people give me suggestions.

This is totally speculation but it's possible we may see upgrade sprues for the various Primaris kits sooner than we see Codexes for the different Chapters.

Is there a way to put a heavy weapons team in an neophyte squad?

...

>How much information do you have access too?
I don't hear anything specific, but I have the kind of information that let's me cross-check with the other rumours and determine what's legit and what's unfounded bullshit.

Yup. Turned out it wasn't 100% true because SoB weren't squatted and their models are still being sold (though anybody non-retarded has bought Raging Heroes models instead).

Unless some richfag goes up to GW and offers them fuck loads of cash or outright buys them and demands SoB models, we ain't gonna get them any time soon. I mean, they gave Canoness Veriydian great rules in 7th; she's now no different to a regular Canoness. I hope that's just a mistake on GW's part, a named Canoness would be sweet.

The Primaris Marines look bad if they're a block colour, which Blood Angels are without their bling. The BA Terminators are fantastic, similar to Calgar's Honour Guard in appearance. That breaks up the gold. But at the moment? Nothing to break up. They're just... not enough colour options. Black and Gold help break up the red, on top of green and shit for optics. BA terminators are amazing models and I don't think they get enough praise.

Oh. So how do you know shit is 100% gonna happen?

>they gave Canoness Veriydian great rules in 7th
That's arguable.

>So how do you know shit is 100% gonna happen?
Because there are rumour leakers now with very specific info that matches up with everything I've been told.

Yeah, i can replace the 2 heavy mining weapon guys with a team.
Would say a lascannon team be better than the mining laser and seismic cannon?

Relative. She was a better choice than a default Canoness iirc.

Told by WHOM?

Wait. Am I right in thinking I can take a 5-man squad of Blood Angel's Devastators, put them in a Drop Pod, drop them next to something... then unleash 4 Heavy Flamer shots at them?

Also who/what are the most anti-Marine army at the moment? I've yet to go through all the books and even if I did I'm daft as a fucking plank because I'd need to add up all the costs of the units naked... then with options and so on...

This will sound memey but I have a contact who is good friends with someone in the GW.

Not like "oh I know a guy who claims his dad works at nintendo" like I know for a fact they are friends and they talk.

I mean, using the list builder.

I can't decide if I want to finish my 'nids or a Scion list first. I want to finish one before moving on to another army. Suspect the latter may be easier to paint and all.

Is it just me, or do Deathwing Terminators actually get to keep their storm bolter when they take a heavy weapon?

>DI box arrives today
>still haven't decided how to paint my spess muhrens

End me

>Wait. Am I right in thinking I can take a 5-man squad of Blood Angel's Devastators, put them in a Drop Pod, drop them next to something... then unleash 4 Heavy Flamer shots at them?
Sadly no, the devastators have to set up 9 inches away the turn they arrive and heavy flamers are only range 8.

Can anyone confirm that the real codexes are due to release in October? At least SM and CSM ?

Imperial fists. Do it for papa dorn.
