Djeru the Purified 3WW Legendary Creature - Human Warrior Vigilance
When Djeru the Purified enters the battlefield, you may search your library for a Planeswalker card, reveal it and put it into your hand. Shuffle your library.
If a source would damage to a Planeswalker you control, prevent 1 of that damage
Atraxa here i cum!
Brody Hall
on the topic of squee, i once build a nekusar deck for the grixis colours and used squee together with the dissension eidoolons and cards like dreamhall. It actually was complete jank, but people only realised it game 2 or three or so because nekusar just gets hated out of the game way too fast for being Nekusar and i didnt want to spoil my plan.
Joshua Foster
What I meant was: how did sliver players get such a bad reputation? Seems like they are seen as the "That guy" of Tribal decks and maybe even magic as a whole.
James Turner
I consider Slivers the same as Kaalia. They're easy to kill if you target them early but a nightmare later on if you let them stick around. The clear option is to kill them fast, but then the player always complains about being targeted.
Henry Lee
this card is actually nuts. Just imagine how many ways they could have fucked it up but didnt. >Target opponent looses life >exile from your graveyard hell, the fact that he returns at the end of turn is also pretty much perfect as it allows for some gy shananigans. i just wish the last ability had a "may" clause.
Nth for reposting my thoughts about scarab god. Im unusually annoyed by this because the god doesn't scream zombie tribal at all, and people want to build that anyway.
Nolan Sanders
>Target opponent looses life yes? i was stating things they could have fucked up but didnt. just imagine the god would read "target opponent" and "exile from your graveyard" and you suddenly have a card that is not even good in EDH. they didnt do that. im happy.
Brody Gutierrez
>especially when you're paying life
Nth for reposting mocking you.
Jeremiah Morris
I caught on, don't worry about it.
Julian Howard
rtfc. he screams zombie tribal. you dont loose life. please stop reposting this.
Daniel Garcia
>Can't wait to curbstonp scrubs that thought taking 20 damage cumulatively from his first ability is good
rtfc
also there's no reason you shouldn't abuse the first ability too. i think you probably shouldn't build full-retard with the tribal effects, but going on a zombie focus with your creatures and putting in some of the good zombie generation seems very much worth it. scrying more than 6 per turn is almost like tutoring every turn if your deck is consistent enough.
Parker Perry
I'm sorry seeing the discord gets your jonnies all jostled, user.
Thomas Myers
>good zombie generation
zombie token generation i mean
Army of the Damned From Under the Floorboards Endless Ranks of the Dead Liliana's Mastery Dread Summons Noosegraf Mob Diregraf Colossus Grave Titan
all probably worth it
Samuel Brooks
scrying for six, if you are in a 4 player game thats 18 collective damage. 24 for 5. i have a feeling if built well and with a lot of zombie generation you may very well be the archenemy. > rarely pay more than 5 for commander > high control over your own deck > fast-ish global clock
Joshua Cooper
Oh lmao. I stand corrected. Jesus. I still wouldn't build zombie tribal though. Fuck this card is busted and will be an autowin in draft Honestly this card is retarded strong, what the hell were the designers thinking.
Im mega pissed at myself because im usually one to rtfc. Sorry. Aaaaaaa Ok im calmed down
Brandon Torres
I'm sorry when your furry club is excluded you get your fee fees in a tussle
Parker Johnson
youre the one coming up with illegitimate discord links, you lanky bitch
Kevin Hernandez
Intruder Alarm/Thornbite Staff combos incoming.
Samuel Lewis
How retarded is this card on a scale from 1-10
Jackson Allen
What a waste of a commander.
Zachary Lopez
In edh its okay, in nearly every other format completly retarded. See Snapcaster, Bob, Deaths Shadow...
Andrew Ramirez
Considering it RBx? 6-7/10 I'd say can get some combo pieces out, mostly outlets but still. In 5c gets Saffi back if that was the only thing you needed to go off
John Cox
Pretty sure he's just Legendary to keep his damage prevention ability from getting out of hand.
Ayden Murphy
Guess I'll be making myself an UB zombie tribal. Thanks, Scarab God.
Julian Martinez
What's the chance of other planeswalkers having an X cost?
Sebastian Cooper
We'll probably see it again but I doubt it will be a regular thing.
Ethan Lopez
> have gisa and geralf lying arround > swap the commander for this god > add some all player mill
Jayden Morris
>Brother started brewing Locust as soon as it was spoiled >Friend said he wanted to play a new deck, was thinking BR, right before Scorpion was spoiled >I already have a UB Grim-Grin deck I could switch out for Scarab
Godwars incoming.
Isaiah Taylor
>tfw I don't know if I want to keep Grimgrin as my zombie Commander, or switch him out for Scarab God
Alexander Reyes
I find grimgrin underwhelming compared to the new God
Nathaniel Flores
So...Theros Block commander wars 2?
WotC already said that they're are planning for more creatures with God type and that's why they changed 'Indestructible+condition' formula with Grixis Gods, so prepare for Godwars I guess.
Camden King
How much is Scarab gonna go for?
Anthony Smith
Depends on how much use it has for modern.
Lincoln Robinson
It's difficult to say. It's a casual all star mythic. It's gonna be THE commander to go for for zombies, which are already really popular. But print runs of new sets are so insanely high and it's in a set with lottery cards. I wouldn't be able to even guess.
Oliver Williams
That's ridiculous. Modern won't have any bearing on its price at all. Even with no Modern usage whatsoever, the Theros gods range in price from $2 to $12.
Tyler Baker
I'm gonna build the shit out of it
Jeremiah Flores
If it doesn't have any use in modern though it won't be any pricier than any other card in standard. We have no idea what else is in the set so we don't know where value lies yet, but even if the card is a fucking great mythic played in standard you aren't getting above 15. The range you gave for the gods is mostly correct. Expect this to be high on release as usual, then dip down as more packs are opened.
Wyatt Lee
>How consistent do you try to make your decks? Lol no
My best deck is a deck where everything combos with everything else and there is absolutely zero consistency. It's a blast
I'm debating a switch to Daretti Stax because my UB control deck isn't the best in my 5-man group
Colton Brooks
That looks quite fun to play.
Owen Hill
Mono W superfriends?
Henry Morgan
Why not just put him on the 99 for Atraxa?
David Cook
Two trash decks, wonderful.
Nolan Torres
Someone is triggered.
Jace Johnson
Flaming hot
Benjamin Richardson
Easiest question of my life.
Ryder Evans
It's extremely fun. It can be slow to start though, considering I've got a mana curve like a mountainside
Ryan Perry
Looking to make everyone collectively miserable in Mono Black. Naturally I'm already running Pox, Small Pox, Death cloud etc. Commander is looking to be pic related. So I have forced permanent sacking as the main theme, with a heavy discard sub-theme, what are some Mono black hidden stax gems.
Dominic Taylor
>from a graveyard >a graveyard spicy, so mill zombie tribal?
Benjamin Bennett
>hidden stax gems No such thing. But here's something not a lot of players play for obvious reasons.
Carter Sanders
Yeah I'm gonna run Magus of the Abyss to at least somewhat replicate the effect.
Elijah Cox
Bitterblossom + or other "Everyone sacs" like Merciless Executioner.
Carson Davis
Just buy or proxy The Abyss and Nether Void.
Henry Gonzalez
Gibbering Descent is bit overlooked, it can have some good interactions on hellbent.
Isaiah Ross
>even if the card is a fucking great mythic played in standard you aren't getting above 15 Has there not been any $40 mythics that are only standard playable in a while? I mean I don't think this card would be that much, but it's not unheard of.
Jacob Hill
Leave him in the 99. He goes back to your hand when he dies, there's no sense making him the Commander.
Isaiah White
>He goes back to your hand when he dies, there's no sense making him the Commander. Yeah, getting your Commander out for a reliably cheap cost has never been good ever.
Jaxson Mitchell
>he goes back to your hand when he dies >he avoids commander tax >this is apparently a bad thing
Asher Cruz
I wonder what's your reasoning for saying that.
Asher Scott
>How consistent do you try to make your decks? Is there too consistent for this format? Not too consistent I would say that there is "too fast" for this format however I try to make my decks do one thing and one thing very well. My decks are very consistent. The longer you play the more you realize theres really not enough room in your 100 card deck for multiple strats imho. I also play competitive tables once a month with my buds so I assume that influences my casual decks too
Christian Green
>scry x you could have sold me on that alone
Jonathan Allen
>hottest general you literally gargle semen if you disagree with me
John Lopez
I have a thing for dommes.
Jaxson Ross
Well, yeah.
Owen Russell
How do i build Roach God? I was thinking about mill+etb goodstuff+ some zombie tribal support and zombie token generators, do i have enough space for all of these things or will it be a janky deck that doesn't focus much on anything?
Christian Bennett
first card I would put in that and mind grind would be the only two mill cards i would auto include maybe the theros god too
Benjamin Evans
What a bunch of plebs
Jace Richardson
> How dare you look me eye to eye, worm!
You still have fight in you, you WILL be broken in before dawn...now GET UNDRESSED!
Brayden Roberts
Blue mill + black token generation and every zombie Lord you can find. Training Grounds to reduce his cost.
Honestly I'd rather run him in the 99 of Sidisi, but whatever floats your boat.
Jack Bailey
>tfw my fetish is dominating women who think they are doms why is there never any porn of this?
Nolan Thomas
Wait, so does this mean Samut successfully broke his conditioning?
Blake Long
Holy shit, Lazav just got an upgrade AND I have somewhere to stick grimgrin. In Grixis this would be super spicy with Rakdos, Lord of Riots.
Joseph Kelly
Hi, I heard Griselbrand got fired, so I'm here to apply for his job.
Robert Parker
Adriana's flavor is a perfect match for her effect. All the other Conspiracy legends have effects that encourage strange play styles or interactions with opponents and built in politics, but Adriana's just a simple guardswoman and her effect is just simple combat.
Jackson Lee
Holy fucking shit
Camden Wright
Rough.
At least he doesn't replenish itself like griselbrand does.
Jaxon Richardson
...
Hudson Ramirez
Oh, that interesting. Expensive as fuck, and I'm not going to us it, even in EDH, but interesting.
Dylan Wilson
So now I need to buy a box. Fuck...
Thomas Walker
Just buy the singles nigger. As good as Scarab God and Razaketh look for EDH, even if you have to drop 30$+ for both, do not fucking buy a box, you're only going to get disappointment out of it.
Owen Gray
Hm... Honestly I think it won't replace Sidisi, Undead Vizier, just because she can sac herself and he needs something else on board.
Caleb Ortiz
I was thinking more of a reanimator dude with zombie support cards to sweeten the deal, blighted agent becomes a 4/4, and given its ANY creature you can probably jack some pretty good cards like Thaila and stuff.
Parker Sullivan
>bolas and the three gods would be $120 straight up >tutorbrand is going to be $5-15 >a box costs 160 I know what you mean user, but my inner gambler is telling me to do it. Previously I'd just buy singles I wanted on the cheap, like anointed procession but I don't think I'm going to get the chance.
Lincoln Hill
2slow/10 at least wanderer gives you value right away
Cooper Martinez
>>a box costs 160 since when are they over 100?
Blake Kelly
>tutorbrand >not tutorphed I want this meme to die.
Blake Thomas
I'm sure that Bolas+ the gods will be less than $120. Preorder prices are not real.
Grayson Price
Your inner gambler is an idiot and will lose you money and net you a bunch of worthless chaff
Ryder Rogers
Do you live outside of the US or something? All of your prices are inflated significantly.
But what if he opens a masterpiece? :^)
David Stewart
I think he's talking about some kind of knockoff dollar like leaf dollar or kiwi dollar or cunt dollar
Jace Jenkins
Canadian dollerydoos. Actually, it'll be the same price to get the singles or a box, and I get a chance at getting that sweet lord of extinction and omniscience.
Hey fair enough, I'll still buy a box and post what I get so y'all can call me a faggot when I get a bunch of draft chaff.
No one knows who kothoped is and I couldn't think of a better name. Tutorbrand is fine.
