Check out the new DSP playtest!

Is brigand a separate job from adventurer, or just a different subset of the same career path?

Has SEagle jumped the shark?

Have a transparent version instead.

Why is a low level commoner so fucking smug?

Town guard.

She's a Commoner 3 but walks around with 2.5k gp in her pocket.

Because she just threw a cat into the room of the merchant who tried to lift up her skirt and she's about to view her handiwork before cleanup.

because she's not a low level commoner. she's actually a level 20 Sorcererss.

Why are we /pgg/ if /sfg/ is an active thread?

Autism.

Sailor
Insofar, I am REALLY liking what I'm seeing. Radiant Dawn looks to be an interesting support discipline, and I've been itching for newer, better-designed akashic stuff for a while. Rajah also fills a niche I've wanted to see with Path of War: backline support. Rajah also has a bunch of neat abilities that I wanna try out

As an aside note, this brings us up to even split of supernatural/extraordinary initiators: Warlord/Warder/Medic/Stalker (technically) and Harbinger/Mystic/Zealot/Rajah

To spark a little more discussion, what's the next kind of initiator you want to see? What sort of templates would be interesting to add onto supernatural initiators, in a similar vein as Bushi/Hussar/Privateer? What 1pp classes could use archetypes that grant initiating?

I like his idea about summoning Anthropomorphic personifications of Character Archetypes, But i think they're a tad too strong for an average Pathfinder campaign. Gestalt or no.

Also, The Champion is adorable.

Given the nature of the campaign, having everyone be a face, at least to some extent, seems like a top notch idea.

Now, onto the roles:
1. Strength Melee - DPS and Tank. Primary buff target for the casters, going to be doing a fuckton of damage, if they have the necessary support.

Strongest Candidates: Orion, Jericho, Alexander, Matheo, Marche, and many others.

2. Dex Melee - Off-Tank and Respectable DPS. Should be almost entirely self-sufficient, and bringing some form of out of combat utility.

Strongest Candidates: Ichabod, Derrin, Spidget

3. Ranged - Pure DPS. This is the party's big gun, the one outputting buckets of damage, and blowing up the big scary thing.

Strongest Candidates: Niccolo (though his reliance on 2hu's SoM alchemy nuker may knock him out), Ceraphine, Itsuko, Giancarlo (tho he could be either of the above too), Rae

4. Offensive Caster - Battlefield Control and debuffs. Your witches, wizards, shamans, etc. Not necessary, depending on the type of game the GM is running, can easily be replaced with another Support.

Strongest Candidates: Mouse, CCC, Eleanor, Kaerogi

5. Defensive Caster - Healing, Buffing, CC Scrubbing. These are the people who keep the party alive, and give them the tools to wreck face. The backbone of the party, and not to be under appreciated.

Strongest Candidates: Witch, Rintaelle, Sibyl, Illaria.

6. Flex pick - Given how the competition is shaking out, it's likely to be another Strength Melee, or Support Caster.

Given these roles, here's my party breakdown:
Strength Melee - Alexander
Dexterity Melee - Derrin
Ranged - Ceraphine
Offensive Caster - None.
Support Caster 1 - Sibyl or Rintaelle
Support Caster 2 - Illaria
Flex Pick - Either Witch, Jericho, Orion, or Ichabod.

Mental Stats: Charisma 3, Intelligence 2, Wis 1 (fitting for this type of story)

Is there a day that works for all these picks?

Witch is both offensive and defensive caster, though. Never underestimate Spirit Guide flexibility.

You'd be smug too if you looked like that.

Monday and Tuesday would both work.

The single most ground-breaking thing Radiant Dawn is a very subtle one: any initiator can now have out-of-the-box noncombat healing.

Aside from that, Shape Veil (feat version or aegis abuse edition) is now a little stronger due to Radiant Dawn's free essence.

The Bank of the Sun is a free WBL increase, though the extra wealth is concentrated towards the lower levels.

4th-level sunstroke transforms any strike into a long-distance ICBM in an area.

I fear that the author might not receive good playtest feedback for the rajah, because it will simply be used as gestalt bait in this game's threads due to its 1/2 BAB.

How can this be the Pathfinder & Starfinder thread when Starfinder has it's own thread?

>1/2 BAB initiator
Why? Doesn't that defeat the entire point of initiators?

We have like, one autistic bastard that refuses to let go of this Le Epic Refreshment of the General. Starfinder General has been slow but pleasant, and these threads I'd daresay got a good clip to them as well. I don't see the need to fuse 'em together again.

Giancarlo is strength melee, dex melee, and ranged.

Ceraphine is support casting and ranged.

Derrin is dex melee and support casting.

Illaria is potentially melee.

Many characters overlap, I categorized them under their most prominent role to keep the lists uncluttered.

Well, i dunno. i think it kinda fits for a Pure Support Initiator. and if anything, i'd be more likely to gestalt ot with something like a Vitalist, just to get more Raw Support power out of it.

I went to look up Alexander's sheet and it doesn't look like it's all there. Unless I'm missing something his class implies he'll probably be weaker on the role too.

Marche has the closest statline and he's easily the tankiest but he's incompatible with the lineup. If we ditched Rintaelle for Sibyl and took Jericho then I think that'd work for a Monday timeslot?

I've yet to see a single person actually make a character that embodies the ideals of Arshea or even aims to acquire their Deific Obediences. This surprises me, I see people posting sluts all the time in /pfg/ campaigns and yet nobody's trying to gain mechanical advantages out of being a slut.

Except for that one girl in the Wrath of the Righteous LFG, the one with a huge ass and the apparent desire to use it.

>gestalting classes reliant on heavy uses of two different mental stats
Gross.

I Didn't realise that was the case until i went and read it just now. Sorcerer or Oracle or Bard Gestalt it is, now! Or wait until DSP Releases a Charisma Vitalist.

What about Lymnieris?

>Lie on a hard, flat surface wearing nothing but a cowl. Concentrate on the feeling of the surface and the air while achieving sexual release without touching yourself. Healing spells you cast heal 1 more point of damage per die.

Or The Green mother?

>Seek out the most verdant plant life in the immediate area and achieve sexual release amidst it, either alone or accompanied. At the moment of climax, whisper a secret belonging to someone else. This secret must be different every time. You gain a +4 profane bonus on saves against mind-affecting effects.

One of the Crowns allows for replacing Dex/str with Charisma for some attack rolls. You also get a hefty load of attack roll bonuses from vassalage. I need to reread the class some more and really figure it out before I can pass judgement on it. My laptop power cord recently but the dust and I'm gonna be out of it for a week before I can get a new one.

Gestalt-wise, I can actually predict we're gonna see three main gestalt combinations:

>Rajah/Bloodrager
Full BaB and a good fortitude save along with bloodrage for killing shit dead.

>Rajah/Paladin
Full BaB, Divine Grace, and the standard suite of paladin abilities

>Rajah/Medium (Wendo Caller or Empath Medium specifically)
It's a lot of number juggling, but Medium offers tons of out of combat utility that vastly outstrips the paladin and Bloodrager. Plus, champion spirit is REALLY good for any sort of combat build.

A few others might be Rajah/Avowed, Rajah/Bard, and more specifically, Rajah/Skald (in a party of melee initiators). It's a very potent support class

Could anyone give me a run-down on the major flaws of the kingdom building rules? I've heard claims that it's best to just stay in one hex, but what else is there?

It has touch attacks with Radiant Dawn.

It has number fixing for strikes

Protag doesn't demand complete sheets, an outline is enough.

With a Vitalist, a healing Bard, a Paladin, and another potential support caster, I doubt Alexander would have any troubles staying on his feet in combat. The issue with swapping him for Jericho, is that you're adding yet another Cha based PC to the mix, which unbalances things a bit.

It's a 1d6+Cha touch attack. That's not going to do meaningful damage to anything past shank town.

Greentext time
>Last time, on Puella Librum D
>Cashmere had been torn down by the animated blood of the dying Yellow Jacket
>Gloriana had collapsed from its mighty lightning attack
>Cierra's valiant effort to get that last final hit in to finish the job ended with its tail dashing her across the wall
>Lysanders best efforts to save them were met not with dragon breath, but by divine protection
>The temple was to Zyke, and the Yellow Jacket was his agent
>The girls were trapped in a demi-plane anchored to the temple, no way out, no way in
>Rallying with Cat and Jericho, Lysander sets about breaking the magic circle
>Without Cashmere's help, it seems impossible to undo the magic, until the altheimer steps on something
>Invisible, but corporeal; he gets his hands on Cashmere's tome, within the demi-plane
>Overhead, Cat has climbed up the glowing statue of Zyke that overlooks it
>Inside its glowing eyes she can see the dragon, the girls, and a shadow that reaches out and touches the tome with a skeletal hand
>Lysander pulls the tome free of the circle, breaking the demi-plane and shattering the gem
>The Yellow Jacket appears before him, panic and wrath bearing down on the golden knight
>His mighty AEther Lance flies forward! Right into the Yellow Jacket's maw, tearing him into the air and almost ripping his arm off in the process
>Jericho (controlled by Gloriana) leaps into the fray, cleaving open it's exposed neck and dousing himself in the dragons life blood

Lymnieris always struck me as a cute goddess of child protectors or ex-prostitutes first, and a sexy goddess second... While the Green Mother is just fun. I'm sorry, but she perfectly encapsulates the greatest pleasures and deepest horrors of nature, and it's a damn shame we haven't had anyone actually use her as their object of worship yet.

>An hour later, all four nightwalkers regain their senses, and hit points, around a bonfire with Cat
>The dragon has been slain and is being butchered by Jericho, the dragon hunter, and Cat has been tending to their wounds
>One thing remains; finding Robin, whatever state she's in
>The land around the Yellow Jacket's roost has been entirely washed away, revealing an ancient, pre-cataclysm city
>The tower itself was the main keep, now exposed and its guardian perished
>For the first time in hundreds of years, the relics of this fortress are free to be plundered
>In the highest floor of the tallest tower, they at last find Robin, alive but not well and in desperate need of Gloriana's healing
>But the quest is not yet done
>The bait is got, and the death knell spider is coming for it
>Will they have enough time to recover before it sniffs them out?
>Find out next week, on Puella Librum D

What other "Archetypes" you think will show up?

There's already been a mention of a "Knight in Shining Armor."

The lineup after the changes would be Jericho(Cha), Derrin(Cha), Ceraphine(Int), Sibyl(Wis), Illaria(Cha) with the replacement. Giancarlo could be taken on flex for 3 CHA, 2 WIS, 1 INT which should even it out a little.

Cashmere is a fuckin' nerd that needs to get married and start a family.

Shill your game elsewhere, faggots.

Let me interject with this alternate lineup!

>STR Melee - Jericho
Alexander's sheet isn't complete, and a gish tanking won't be strong enough.
>DEX Melee - Ichabod
Better fill for this slot considering the rest of the picks. Derrin brings little unique strengths to the table.
>Ranged - Ceraphine
Nothing new here.
>Caster/Support - Illaria
Nothing new here.
>Caster/Hybrid - Witch
My main point for this pick is that the party would otherwise be lacking a (vancian) fullcaster.
>Flex - Derrin or Rintaelle
Either of them are strong picks in this case. Sibyl is slightly weaker if Witch is in the party and holding her main niche, but would also work.

cry more faggot

Not at all. Think of how many maneuvers give you an accuracy boost, or outright let you use a skill instead of an attack.

You first bitch.

Jericho has to make the cut. That isn't even negotiable.

They get a major accuracy fixer, for an effective "BAB" of +17 at 20th level. Just no full attacks.

Was there no Dragons2 greentext this week?

>party would otherwise be lacking a (vancian) fullcaster.

I mean... that was kinda the point. Merely having a fullcaster warps the game, thus I confined Witch to the flex slot.

Remember when everyone expected nothing but knight apps to Ensoulment? I don't think there're enough to count one hand with and I don't think a single one of them is a classic knight in shining armor.

>antagonizing the man that can destroy the thread whenever he feels like posting logs

>Alexander's sheet isn't complete

Protag explicitly said that doesn't matter.

Has anyone actually played a divination specialist wizard? The school features are based, but the bonus spells you have to use seem so undesirable compared to shit like transmutation or evocation.

Personally, I blame Derrin.

Hard to justify trying to be a standard hero when you have to compete with
>THIRTEEN PAGES

Matheo is pretty knight in shining armor.

Do it then.

Shut up or put up, you spineless nigger.

Didn't you faggots say the same about the dumbass Nihilist Elf, that he was "a perfect fit" and "HAD to get in", and then got the boot because the GM just plain old didn't like his style?

I guess a champion of love is normal enough but isn't it a conflict of interests if his lover isn't courtly?

No, Dragons 2 had to be canceled

If you take the Arcane Enlightenment Shaman Hex, and then your Charisma increases, does the number of spells you gain from the Sorc/Wiz spell list increase or does it lock in the first time you take the hex?

not having a fullcaster warps the game just as much, though, so i'm not sure how much that matters

Oh...

Dragons 1 seems like the favorite son.

>taking Arcane Enlightenment as anything other than a Wandering Hex
stop. just stop. i am in physical pain from this incompetence.

Not having a fullcaster is something the GM can compensate for.

Having a fullcaster in a martial party, isn't. At least with a Paizo fullcaster.

Eh, it's actually not too shabby. Having Tongues on demand or Detect Thoughts opens some roleplay avenues.

>My main point for this pick is that the party would otherwise be lacking a (vancian) fullcaster.
Wouldn't C3 be a better choice for that, considering she can steal Druid and Cleric spells as a class feature?

SEagle had wor late, and something about a term paper due..

Depends on the player. Case in point, Qari from the WotR game is a fullcaster whose spells are pretty specifically party assistance and not 'full caster=god".

If it's a wandering hex, do you choose new spells each time you switch to it?

Neat, but this is a group made of a bunch of randos. You have to assume every full caster is going full "god I am."

well next week Dragon 1 is canceled, again due to late work.

Fuck off, Kawase

Spirit Guide does enough of the same, without being a Wizard (and thus avoiding all the lategame balance issues that would bring).

Would you say +1 initiative per 2 wizards levels is less, more, or as useful as +1 per 4 wizard levels to a physical ability score?

Aren't the lategame balance issues mainly dependent on whether or not the player is being a massive pile of shit?

When will this finally happen? Or do you just like empty threats?

Yes. Like any feature that works similarly, you are locked in for those types of choices for the day when you make them, but WHex only lets you pick once per day which makes the point moot. Now, if you had some way to switch out your WHex midway through your adventuring day, you would be forced to pick the same spells if you took Arcane Enlightenment again.

That was like 2, 3 people tops spouting that shit. Everyone with a brain knew that he wasn't right for the game, the GM included.

I feel like spontaneous casters are still pretty manageable. Prepared casters are the ones you almost cannot plan for.

Yes, and lategame is never an issue because games never enter the lategame.

Most Rando's are incapble of playing a full caster that way.

It's really, really easy to tell who's going to pull that bullshit. I never understood banning fullcasters outright when you can just veto spell/powers/playstyles.

Yes, which makes it very strong

Of course, but that goes with pretty much any character that gets enough toys to play with. Spontaneous fullcasters are still much more manageable than Prepared ones, and Wizards are the worst offenders for Prepared Casting godmode.

Few things are more courtly than a COURTLY FAE.

One of the Knights of the around Table straight up courted and married Nymue, a Lady of the Lake.

Meh? +5 to dex or con helps to an extent, but going first matters a lot more. Unless you somehow want to be a MUSCLE WIZARD that casts FISTS, of course.

For maximum FAST INITIATIVE, be a bullied Ifrit with Wildfire heart and a Scorpion familiar with Improved initiative.

Keep on retconning history, jackass. Everyone was SOOOOOO shocked when Argentum called out that elf.

Oh wow, that's way better than I thought. Someone last night was saying the Lore Spirit was the best one, so I assumed they meant it should be the primary spirit. I didn't know the Wandering Hex version was so good.

Why ban it?

It's an excellent way to filter out the shit heads.

I added a clause in specifically to counteract the casting godmode people might be worried about. The clause of "it has to look cool to make it work" is specifically designed for Protagonist to decide whether or not C3 will ever learn certain borked spells or spell combinations.

Which prestige classes are a good, which ones are good enough that you can take them for a gimmick/theme build and which ones are so bad that they make /pgg/ weep like the bunch of emotionally unstable girls they pretend to be?

14-16 dex (+2-3) + Bullied (+2) + Wildfire heart (+4) + Improved Initiative (+4) + Scorpion familiar (+2) + Divination (+1)

That's +16-17 initiative at level one that can act during surprise rounds for those following at home, probably one of the highest you can achieve 1pp only

Duelist is unusable Garbage, IMO, ESPECIALLY since Swashbucklers are a thing.

Swordlord

Scorpion familiar is +4 and it's actually 17-18, I'm drinking today it's my national holiday ok

Thanks for the feedback.
