Heh, Glad you like it. I ended up photoshopping every image to some degree. Some far more then others to make them fit the items they represent. No idea when I'll get to TextAnon's last one in the series as I've been really busy in RL recently.

Anyone have good cyoas where you don't know what the options do until after you pick them? those are some of my favourites.

You guys that have made CYOAs, what was the hardest part? Deciding on a theme/idea, finding images or writing all the text?

Hey no worries. I put a lot more rambling in that one than these two. If you're up for the task I'd love to continue having my CYOAs image-ified but I'm quite content with the work you've already done!

Finding images is the most common answer, but in my opinion, especially when working on something large, the greatest problem I have is keeping my motivation up. And if you're working on a point-based CYOA which is more than a waifu builder, balancing is a real issue I still didn't get the hang of. Ideas are the easiest part, I have loads more than I could ever put into action.

A blind choice sounds closer to rolling a die than actually choosing, since in both cases, you don't know what you get until after you've done it. Ergo, the whole idea seems counter to the C in CYOA, which would in turn disqualify it from being a good CYOA.

It could still be enjoyable (as there are many bad movies that people like despite, or potentially even because of, their faults), but that's another thing entirely.

Convince me to not make a YGO CYOA about autistic card game shenanigans.

From where I'm standing that sounds pretty fun, but I think just about everything has some sort of fun to it so I'd like a second opinion.

I hate making companions/waifus.

I love making mechanics and writing the rules behind given powers and gifts, but modern cyoa doctrine demands companions. They end up taking three fifths of the creation time, and are the reason my current cyoa wasn't finished last Christmas.

It's less that I need Asian art it's that I really need to get some more pictures of large creatures/suits of armor/"Guardian" type things standing behind some like they're protecting/serving them.
Can seem to figure out any good tags that give that without just scouring every piece of jojo and persona artwork I can find..

Instead of making companions, why not have a power that lets the person summon/create one (or more)? Could even be multiple powers, each with its own specialty (clones, maids/other menial workers, love interest...) or something.

Nice work, this CYOA is really good. I especially like how you can combine houses with locations to make a TON of different settings. Urban Fantasy is best setting.

By the way, is there any significant difference between danbooru and Gelbooru besides Danbooru having that weird tag search restriction?
I try to stick to Safebooru, but for some reason the others have some SFW it doesn't.

The one's I've seen still give a description of the choice so you can guess at it's effects, or give some indication of what you're picking but reveal a hidden aspect later.

It's really not unlike classic choose your own adventure books, where you're given a list of decisions with widely varying results that you don't really get to predict.
