The Tyranids Vs The Flood Vs The Thing Vs The Bydo

The four most bullshit, resistant, alien, evil, and absurdly ridiculous critters in all of fiction come together in an all out brawl. Who wins this battle of titans, Veeky Forums?

Death because anyone who isn't the four is most certainly dead

>out of nowhere a single X parasite shows up

Didn't we just do this like two weeks ago?

Didn't the Flood infect physics or something like that?

No but their were created by not-Nyarlathotep who can.

Only when they were at the height of their power, with Keyminds and the like. Main game canon Flood are basically running off of paint fumes.

Nids stomp unless flood are at forerunner war level, in which case they do some stupid shit and they win

The thing might be able to infect a few nids, MAYBE, but nids work in a cellular level too and can adapt on the fly in ways that sometimes just seem like "lol magic" so they would likely put up a defence against the things infection quickly

You my good sir seem to have forgotten the Bydo. The things that can throw down with a Humanity that has ships capable of throwing around low level petatons. The Nids are gonna have they're work cut out for them, I reckon.

>Bydo

For a moment I read it as Bydlo.

There would be no questions as to who would win.

I have seen a lot of people misread it as "Bydlo". It seems to be a sort of running gag.

Well, everyone's fucked, except Mercer if he shows up somewhere.

Tyranids > Bydo > Flood > The Thing
Tyranids = X
Phage cells are practically X Parasites in their own right, though I haven't seen any new fluff to contradict that old tidbit.

Bump.

I'm going to have to hand this one to the Bydo Empire, but it'd be a hard fight. The Bydo's time travel/dimensional fuckery makes them nearly impossible to put down for good, their facility for assimilating inorganic structures gives them an edge over the other assimilators, and they do have the raw firepower needed to take on the Flood and the Tyranid.

I think the Tyranid are getting squeezed in this scenario, with three other powerful entities/species out to hijack them.

The thing about the Thing is that it wouldn't really be effective against either the flood or the nids. As soon as it infected and took something over they would know because it would disconnect from the hive mind. Soon as it was lost from the hive mind they would know shit was up and they would kill it with fire. Thing's biggest strength is you don' know whose the Thing, but nids and flood would know. I don't think the Thing has the hutzpah for a direct confrontation with either of them, So i really can't see the thing being a major player in this free for all, unless it can get at the Bydo. I don't know them, so i couldn't say.

Flood infect via a cell that transforms it's neighbors, and given his history of infection it's unlikely he'd be unable to purge it.

The Bydo can infect light, space, time, fucking data, thought, and a whole host of other things that I have forgotten at this time. If the Thing tries anything on the Bydo, it's going to get raped.

Well fuck me sideways. Why is this a question? Shouldn't these guys just win by default since they are so damn broken?

In most other circumstances it would win completely, but the Bydo still has weaknesses. If you can manage to break through it's forces, and actually start targeting some of it's dirceting forces, you can force it back. The Bydo has transcended it's original form, and has literally become Evil itself and is for all intents and purposes completely indestructible, but it can still be harmed. Deal enough damage to it, and it will create a pocket of breathing room around, you for a time. It's only a matter of getting to the Core/Cores that direct their main forces.

This is the correct answer.

As for what the OP posted,

flood cells>nids>thing>bydo.

Other way around buddy. Flood can't really do anything to even inconvenience the Bydo much. The only thing that might help the other three against the Bydo would be combining their forces and hoping the Bydo is too busy making torture porn of humanity to notice their attacks.

Flood > Nids > Thing, assuming we're talking height of power
No clue what the Bydo are.
Flood fuck Nids by processing biomass faster (Any infected cells are instantly under Gravemind control), and beat the Thing with Logic Plague. If the Bydo have any broad sentience they lose to Logic Plague too.

Considering the Bydo do apparently think, full-power Flood win anyways. They had a lot of tricks up their sleeves, the least of which effectively fucked people's thoughts to the point where their infection was inevitable.

The Bydo do "think", but Bydo thoughts are in and of themselves infectious. Everything about the Bydo is infectious, and when it isn't infectious and assimilating everything in sight, it's erasing them entirely from existence. That's literally the history behind how R-Type humanity got access to Forces. A space-station tried to experiment with a piece of Bydo flesh, it got loose, and suddenly there was no more space-station.

how do things go if we throw ELS into the mix

Not quite sure. Depends on their capabilities I guess.

Surprise Bump.

I don't know what the Bydo is. Between Tyrannids, Flood, and Thing, my vote is Tyrannids.

For the record I was the guy who, in the last one of these things, was arguing that the Heartless won, no questions.

Anyway, the Tyrannids already operate fine at a cellular level, so the Thing isn't threatening to them. Likewise, the Flood depends upon its targets having nervous systems, but Tyrannids can literally just evolve themselves into plants. No nerves, meaning nothing for the Flood to infect. In fact doesn't the Flood require the nervous systems to be of a certain complexity? Like, sapient? Pretty sure most Tyrannids are basically just animals.

The Flood from what I remember does indeed need the targeted lifeform to have a certain level of nerve complexity, yes. They WERE designed with sentient lifeforms in mind from what I remember.

>flood require nervous systems
Incorrect, the "modern day" war forms require nerve systems. the flood itself is quite mutable.

"The ELS are a race of techno-organic sentient aliens that have the unique ability to assimilate nearly all life and technology. They appear as a silver metallic organisms that can take solid or liquid-like forms. While not an aggressive race, their ways of learning and understanding their environment is based on assimilation of all things; being one with what they don't know allows them to understand. The ELS has no true form as they are capable of taking any shape or size relative to their mass. They can combine or separate from one another to increase or decrease its mass as needed. When faced with an opponent or something unknown, the ELS can assimilate and convert the target of interest into an ELS. It is shown in the movie that the ELS tend to target beings that emit Quantum Brain Waves, such as Super Soldiers, Innovades, Innovators, or humans that show potential of evolving into Innovators."

Finally, a worthy opponent for the Bydo.
