Saving her temporarily increases her love by 1, so far, so you have a higher chance to Charm her.

Or you can find stuff during exploration.

Still, consider that even if you fail to charm her at first, you can still go and visit her later when she return to her reign.

A suggestion is to save generic princesses with high wealth to obtain money to improve your character so you will have more chance for yur favourite princess later.

STILL, gifts will be in the next update, since i had to restore all those rules since i accidentally deleted all my files

Anyway, in gen 1 there are few princesses with a Love stat of 2 or less, so saving most of them will be a success with a 3+ or even better, so, you can be almost sure to charm most of them easily
