Nth for a 99% obscured vehicle that is not touching cover gets no a over bonus.

NIGGER NIGGER NIGGER NIGGER NUDES HERE ARE MY NUDES HERE ARE MY NUDES OVIPOSITER OVIPOSITER

First for kinda not so friendly 1k list. Anything I could add or remove? All the troops and the librarian will be in the land raider turn 1, camp objectives after that and let the raider, predator en whirlwind do the heavy lifting while the librarian smite some guys that got too close.

Librarian: Combi-melta, Force stave
2x Tactical Squad: 3x Space Marine
Space Marine Sergeant: Bolt pistol, Combi-melta, Power sword
Space Marine w/Special Weapon: Meltagun.

Tactical squad: 3x Space Marine
Space Marine Sergeant: Combi-melta, Power sword
Space Marine w/Special Weapon: Meltagun

Land Raider Crusader: 2x Hurricane bolter, Twin assault cannon
Predator: Predator autocannon, Two Heavy Bolters
Whirlwind: Whirlwind vengeance launcher.

Go away.

>Vehicle that isn't in cover doesn't get a cover bonus

No shit.

My manlet marines keep decimating primaris. My buddy's chaos manlets keep molesting primaris. Why GWs put out these shit units?

To appease their napolean syndrome.

Necron/CSM poster please post. We need non guard content.

Working on my Thousand Sons, I've lost the two games I've played with them in 8th so far. Are they viable in matched play without Magnus?

>you can be almost completely behind a terrain piece, therefore meeting the real world definition of being in cover, but because you arent touching the obscuring terrain piece you get no bonus

IRON WARRIORS IS BEST

Same reason blobguard are better. Ironically, GW has made muhreens even numerically smaller and elite at the same time they've release an edition that favours large blob units.

>put you vehicle behind cover
>forget to move it in contact with said cover

There's no rules against shooting your own units either, guess that means everyone's going to forget not to.

What list are you bringing?

I wish hot shot sniper rifles were a thing.

How am i supposed to play Adeptus Custodes without using unbound?

Nth for one Pink Horror can turn into 5 Plague Zombies, the Brimstone Horrors fusing into singular zombies.

Imperium.

...

Honestly, given flesh changing and warping, this seems totally legit.

Let me know if you find a way. I know my TSons got hit hard with 8e.

Multiple exalteds don't really serve a purpose.

My best bet is Rubrics backed up by tonks and Daemonengines

new hellblaster models spotted in WD.

Isn't that what a Transuranic Arquebus is?

Use the Imperium tag and use an Imperial HQ. Inquistors are a fairly fluffy choice and Coteaz in particular looks the part.

Nice. Hopefully some non-monopose dudes finally.

This is true. Even against hellbaster for the same price i can take double the models, move, shoot, charge. Then dish out 2 attacks per model with chainswords and mow it down with volume of attacks. Whats sad is the same thing happens when i'm on the recieving end of a blob charge of orks.

This. I actually want to do a Primaris chapter. So need more stuff

>complains about p2w
>plays a miniature game
>?

Nope. GW must have thought 1k Sons were OP, despite all 1k Sons armies just being Magnus in a Daemon army...

...only for 8th to be Magnus in whatever Chaos army you want him in since he's a Lord of War and can be included in his own detachment without any restrictions otherwise.

Dunno if the kits are out yet, but the really simple Primaris were at the GW I saw.

They're pretty much like Stormcast eternals, a few bits, each with holes to slot in the parts.

Kinda neat.

In other breaking news, contact has been lost with the RMS Titanic during her maiden voyage. More of this story as it develops.

It's actually worse than that. Vehicles need to be "wholly within" a terrain piece and 50% obscured to get any cover. Meaning that in all practically a vehicle can never benefit from cover even if the only part of it that can be seen is a single antenna poking up from behind a wall.

I've been running three Exalted Sorcerers, a unit of Scarab Occult, two 10-man Rubric squads, a shooty hellbrute, two tzaangor squads and some spawn as a screening unit for ~1850pts. I've got more Tzaangors coming in and thinking about just one Exalted and a DP for HQ, swap the hellbrute for a las pred.

The list is actually 2012 points. Fucking Battlescribe

Any suggestion about removing those extra 12 points?

That's normal, multipose comes later.

Don't forget, breathing is voluntary.

Says you target an enemy unit soo....

Best aesthetic
Most autistic

Is that you?

So snap-fit you mean? I'm okay with this - they are made for newbies

Almost like Marines are targeted towards 12 years old.

I'd honestlynsay drop the power mauls. I get why you want them but its the easiest way.

Yeah, store manager showed them off to some 7 year old kids.

Asking them to 'help him' by snapping them off with some cutters and then showing them glue.

Night lords or Carcharodons? I have a bunch of old armor marks from Calth and BoP, and I was originally going to use them as Night Lords for both HH and 40k, but HH is stuck in shitty 7th edition, which killed any interest I had. I still like Night Lords, but now that I'm not limited to a founding legion, I realized I can also go space sharks.

I never realized how hard this choice would be.

Now that our purestrains are usable I would like to formally request to be recognized as our own faction, independent from the shitposters

Or two girls from the Retribution squad.

>The Daemon Prince! We destroy that, and it's over!
>AAAAH, SERGEANT, OUR HEADS

HH might maybe definetly go to 8th edition some time soon maybe later.

In that case you get to take their place as the worst army in 40k.

Except they've already announced they will be releasing an updated version of the 7th rules for HH

Warhammer newfag here, what is a good space marine ground vehicle I should get for my first army?

GSC are literally a tax so tyranids can take a Astrum Militarum units now.

Both the Vanquisher and the Exterminator aren't very good, but the Exterminator with a Tank Commander has pretty consistent damage.

They will probably, most likely cave.

Just like your army, you are stuck forever in your overlord's shadow.

Predator. Either with all lascannons

I think they'll get more milage than mauls.

Conscripts

Incorrect. The "on" requirement for terrain is a within, not a wholly within. The second question of the Rulebook FAQ states this explicitly. So a vehicle just needs to be touching a terrain "area" somehow and 50% obscured to benefit. Often times being right behind a ruin or building with a base will take care of that.

Infantry have to have every member of the squad touching the terrain, but each model doesn't have to be wholly within either.

Best Legion

If you mean tanks, I don't think you can really go wrong with a Predator. I think the suggested loadout floated around here is...autocannon turret and lascannon sponsons? I admit mech marines isn't a specialty of mine.

Rhinos. Never wrong with Rhinos. Easy to build and paint for a newfag, transports are always needed and they look neat.

When's he gonna show them how to play by having them kill warbosses on a 3+ with 4 attacks and a 3+ save while he swings back 2 attacks on a 4+ and a 6+ save?

...

Comments on my JSC?

2x - Primus (76x2)
4x - 20 Purestreain jeanstealers - Purestreain talons (200x4)

1x - 3 Malanthropes (270)
6x - 3 biovores (108x6)

1x Primaris psyker (40)
3x - 6 ratling (42x6)

>good psykers
>okay genestealers
>terrible everything else
I call people taking magus as a supreme command for their tyranid list so they can take IG artillery.

I dig that scheme on the marines. Also sweel job on that daemon prince skin. You gonna add anything to the white blade?

Ahriman better & cheaper than an Exalted Sorc
Typhus better & cheaper than a Lord of Contagion

Welcome to the REAL age of herohammer.
Leave 'your dudes' at the fucking door.

After reading Hammer of Olympia, I feel confident saying Perty is the shittiest Primarch. Even Lorgar achieved more.

>3x - 6 ratling (42x6)
(42x3)

I have a ton of those. I went 50/50 on the Dark Imperium boxed set with a friend who wanted the Death Guard army so I got the Primaris army. I bought a librarian too.

Thanks, I will get whichever is cheapest at the store and add the others to my list of future purchases. I have painted lots of other Bones minis so I have some experience with painting.

Malanthropes do not affect GSC units in any way.

I'm not going to make my 40k choice based on a "eh, they'll probably switch eventually". Even if I go with sharks, I can use them as RG or black shields in HH anyway.

The Predator tank is super solid, you won't go wrong with that. The standard Land Raider is more expensive, but still very good and can make a fun centerpiece model.

Sisters a cute!

I wanted the sword and claws/horns to look like bone. I thinned some white and used it sort of like a wash, then did some white highlights. Might have overdone it a bit.
The Marines are Minotaurs, still lacking their other shoulderpad and the backpack. I'm sure I'll do it someday.

Well in that case it's a choice between dinobots and primetime marines.

Malanthropes are sitting in the back, each with 6 biovores around

>Ahriman 131 points
>Exalted Sorcerer 112 points since FAQ
>"112 'cheaper' than 131 waaaah"

You've made quite the fool of yourself son.

I will not get mad at someone who does this so long as all their "Imperial Guard" units are Tyranids dressed up in flak armour.

Or a superior source of massed rending, cult ambush, cheap buff characters, dedicated transports and heavy weapons.

>muh your dudes
Topkek @ this snowflake autism

Rhinos are cheaper but don't buy one over a predator. The chassis is the same but the predator is a tank version whereas the rhino is a troop transport that does comparatively little.

Get a predator, they're easily the best ground vehicle this edition in terms of cost effectiveness and rhinos are just a dumb transport.

Daily reminder you can use command points to re-roll the roll off during a rules dispute by RAW in this edition.

This is the first edition of the game that actively encourages rules disputes. And it's so badly written you can look forward to plenty ! Yay.

My version was p pornographic so I'm not sure what the take away is.

cult ambush is shit now.

I've been reading Wiki articles about 40k, since I only ever cared about Necron lore.

It's impossible that Lion'El Jonson and Luther are the same person right?

BL authors seem to love shitting all over chaos characters

I've played GSC for 6 years and I agree with this. But now they're 10 points a model, massed purestrains with character backup will at least be fun, even if not effective.

The buffs only work on GSC units, which are trash, neophytes are worse than termagants and can't deploy via trygon tunnel and purestrain genestealers need a patriarch to be fearless.

Dude, I told you brah, the scatter dice is obviously pointing towards your unit, and the small blast template is hitting 12 dudes. Get some glasses man.

I remember someone mentioned that dark eldar could subsist on positive emotions such as laughter, instead of negative emotions, such as pain, if they tried. Could someone elaborate on this Dark Eldar Vegetarian movement?

Laser snipers already use hot-shot cells.

Yes. One is a genetically engineered Primarch, the other is a genetically enhanced human (not even a space marine)

though knowing the Dark Angels they probably tried their best at occupying the same space :^)

It's all documented in the movie Monsters Inc

Why are Dorn marines dumb and jobbers all the time?

BL authors shit over everything sadly. They seem to think that turning everybody into autists is the same as character development.

This is bait.

Is it worth getting a Rhino for Rubric Marines?
