>30k TACTICA & TIPS What to include in a HH list, how to format it, what makes each legion special (crunch), tactics, Tutorials for Heresy-era minis and more pastebin.com/Tm2P4QLp ()
>tfw was actually writing a summary but gets beaten to it by a lazy bastard who doesn't bother Thread, last Noun A thread in which user asked about picking Space Wolves or World Eaters, user is in denial about 8th coming, we were shown a glimpse of punished Jaghatai, mexicans were relieved to be are skull hoarding WEs policed by night lords. Fenris is a shitty place to live (like Iceland with krakans). Mechanicum players cri evry tiem the get BTFO by Marines and Guilliman is added to the list of Primarchs with daddy issues.
Gavin Mitchell
Sorry, was just copying the old thread's layout. Thanks for the summary.
Iron Warrior waxworks held a conversation, the Dodekathon proposed a new Heresy system and the Loyalist Mech don't get no respect. Khorne enjoyed time travel, a glorious Banana Knight nears completion and Mezoa's siege was written by idiots. A wild WBanon appeared and concluded Erebus is still a dick and the Forge World is not enough for the Custodes. All this and more in the last thread Also, may as well roll 'em. I claim this thread for the [1-20 Legions, 2/11 Blackshields, 21 Cybernetica, 22 Reductor, 23 Knights, 24 Talons, 25 Militia/Cults and 26 Solar Aux]
Easton Russell
Hands confirmed to be better than Warriors.
Levi Morales
How can a hand be better than a whole warrior? You know a warrior has two of those, right? It's like 98% more iron hand per warrior.
Austin Johnson
Depends on the hand and the warrior, the Emperor's hand would beat up any mortal warrior by itself.
Michael Morales
Breadanon Noun. Synonyms with: homosexual, faggot. Some name fag bitch whose identity is so wrapped up in starting new /hhg/ threads, which have been so slow it's almost pathetic, on a Mongolian horse fucking forum that he gets salty when he doesn't get to do his self appointed job.
Wyatt Robinson
>the emperor is alive on earth right now >it's a little known fact that he played a bit part on the popular TV show "the addams family"
Brandon Powell
I figure this might be the place to ask since most HH stuff is Forge World; Do FW run out of stock, take the product down from their website, then restock stuff, or is it a case of once it's gone from their website, they dont produce it anymore?
Brody Ross
Some stuff does seem to die, unfortunately. One thing that can happen is a model's mold gets old and worn and needs replacing, but it can be a long time before FW might get round to it. And if a model wasn't selling that well anyway, replacing its mold may never reach the top of their priority list...
What are you after, out of interest?
Aiden Diaz
Behold, a stunning recording of a White Scar training accident.
Grayson Thompson
Does anyone create any fluff or background for their army? Anybody have an examples to share?
Anthony Campbell
>if a model wasn't selling that well anyway, replacing its mold may never reach the top of their priority list.
;__;
I wanted to buy some Death Korps Grenadiers to kitbash with Skitarii and use as Survivors of the Dark Age militia grenadiers. I'll hold off and see if they reappear but sounds like I might have to risk giving chinaman my money instead and praying they're half decent.
Ian Morales
>Dudes on fire >Truck just drives around him
Life is cheap in China clearly.
Jayden James
Just like their goods.
James Long
China lacks Good Samaritan laws. So if you try to help someone you might get sued into oblivion by them regardless of the outcome. That's why people would rather not get involved unfortunately.
Do motorcycles just explode on the regular? I drive a car so I'm not familiar with them.
Here's a conciliatory Ahriman for being off-topic.
Lincoln Rivera
My custodes were the first of their kind created by Emperor who were more powerful than other custodes but they had too much free will so the Emperor ordered them destroyed. They escaped but were still loyal to the Emperor so they continued to serve the Imperium from the shadows. They were present during a lot of the major events during the Heresy but they were masters of stealth and always sneaked away after completing their mission so they don't appear in any records. They even managed to infiltrate onto the Vengeful Spirit during the Siege and helped the Emperor defeat Horus. With his dying breath the Emperor said he loved them. Since then they've been fighting a secret war against Chaos all by themselves.
Ayden Roberts
RIP Dreadnought Drop Pods, just thinking abiut all those Leviathans left walking breaks my heart
Aaron Peterson
I don't think that's a normal thing, Tzeentch. It must be a Chinese thing.
Jeremiah Campbell
No, it's not normal for motorcycles to explode into flame after bumping into another vehicle.
Chinese domestic products clearly have no safety requirements.
Jose Brown
His special ability was that he was more powerful than his peers in the Custodes academy?
Brandon Scott
The fuel tank appears to be both too easy to break and falls directly on top of the hot engine.
Anthony Richardson
I have the two-post Genetor background that I'm quite proud of and I'll bet everyone is sick of reading, and I'm toying with some ideas for Word Bearers once the Genetor 4k list is done.
Thinking a chapter that used to really go for the Hearts and Minds thing back during the Crusade, to the point of recruiting them to fight any hostiles remaining on the planet (which obviously didn't endear them to the less unscrupulous types like the Salamanders, or preserve loyalty as long as the other Word Bearers, but did greatly save on Astartes casualties). When the Heresy broke out, they travelled back to a few of the worlds recently liberated and raised a great Cultist host, which spent the Shadow Crusade being a massive nuisance and turning as many neutral planets as possible with shows of power and numbers.
When actually called upon to fight, the Astartes prefer to remain inside their war machines, sending hordes of infantry to weaken the enemy while pounding them with heavier firepower in a manner borrowed from Perturabo's Corpse Grinders.
Their Gal Vorbak are not committed originally, instead bursting into the midst of the beleaguered enemies in blazes of psychic force to force breaches where needed, often by sheer terror.
(If you haven't noticed, I really like hordes supported by dakka and big boys, my Reductor fight the same way. Not I just need some army and leader names, but they can wait.)
John Turner
Coldsteel the Custodes novel when, given BL's current quality of writing it should be right up their alley
Hudson Walker
>Chinese domestic products clearly have no safety requirements. 'Old on nows! Yooz sayin' da Chineyz are Orks?
Aiden Ortiz
>Hordes of infantry >Shitty equipment that breaks down, but cheap to produce >Steal and loot everything A bit.
Christopher Green
What about Ra?
Benjamin Gonzalez
Tfw korean war makes more sense couched as imperial guard defending against a WAAAAGH
Camden Watson
It makes total sense now. Pic related. Squig eatin'.
Ryder Hill
Brits seem to do that a lot, too, look at Rourke's Drift.
The "Things are pretty sticky here" not being translated from Britspeak to "Oh fuck, oh fuck, out of ammo entirely and there's still thousands of the buggers" during the Korean War and thus resulting in the British not being reinforced and getting overrun sounds exactly like a grimdark IG mishap, too.
Lucas Ramirez
check out the anvil industry regiments line, they might have something for your kitbashing
Josiah Moore
Fuck leviathans.
Nolan Green
>Coldsteel was made by blood_skull_boi84 >Ra is Khorne's OC >That makes Slaanesh khaoskid663
That fits remarkably well
Liam Richardson
...
Jackson Long
Thanks, I will.
Lucas Roberts
I mean, you're right there, but people seem to like them a lot, so if they want to have a whole bunch more points tied up in vehicles that I can tarpit or Haywire they can feel free. Although in the batreps I watch they always seem to make an irritating number of 4++ saves, I will admit.
Only time I get annoyed with Astartes is when the local cheeselord brings out his Phosphex Mortar/Double Pod Levi/2*10 Rhinovets and Mortis Dread escorting Spartan list, and even then just because it's so generic and boring. Seriously, he deploys three boxes and five eggs, plus a pair of guns, and it would be the exact same list with any other legion.
Gabriel Jones
Yes and I'm trying to align it with the Alpha Legion events of Paramar.
Matthew Johnson
That sounds pretty shit to face. I think I'm lucky with my local meta, there's no-one that plays anything massively WAAC. I mean there are still a few BAC/BOP plastic players but the majority have gone and created armies that fit well with their Legion's fluff and playstyle.
Jonathan Myers
Not many people really play him, he normally just plays 40k with his SM/GK/Custodes/Guilliman mashup list that looks like a random pile of ass even when painted. Most of us just ignore him, since we tend to prefer buildan, fluffan, paintan and convertan to fightan anyway.
Luke Hall
Victoria Miniatures, too (they don't only make female troopers).
The Chinese learned to be more careful after that initial wave and ended up fighting un-orklike. That's why everything bogged down for the last couple of years. Over time they've come to look more like the Imperium rather than the orks - overcrowded, cultish in their devotion, full of expendable people, able to equip them with lots and lots of functional but cheap stuff...
Dylan Lewis
>post random link and fabricate some paper thin Horus Heresy connection >Mexican grave is like the World Eaters XD >Chinese car crash is totally White Scars :DDDDDDDD! It's time to stop. I think it's the same one guy doing it.
Kayden Williams
You'd rather we let the thread rot?
Adam Gutierrez
ded game since 8th ed.
Matthew King
Let the General burn.
Ryan Bell
What are your favorite sources of anti-AV14 weapons?
Javelins get you a TL, outflanking shot for 65 points. That gets you around flare shields. Heavy Support Marines w/ Lascannons: 47 points/ea for five, 43.5 points/ea for ten. Predator w/ Lascannon sponsons (and nothing else): 57.5 pts per lascannon. Land Raider Proteus w/ hull lascannon upgrade: 70 pts per TL lascannon (of which you get three). Vindicator laser destroyer: 130 pts for a TL ordnance shot that can fire 2 or even 3 shots if you don't move and accept the risk of taking damage.
Normally missile launcher Javelins are better, but not against AV14.
Nathaniel Martinez
>they had too much free will so the Emperor ordered them destroyed. They escaped but were still loyal to the Emperor That's a good tragic set up right there. Ordered destroyed because you have too much free will, but not enough free will to betray the Emperor even after he orders your destruction. Eternally enslaved to an Imperium you know you should hate but can't do anything but love.
This must be how addicts feel.
Adam Williams
It's a quasi-holiday in the US. (The holiday's tomorrow, but since it's on a Tuesday a lot of people are taking Monday off.)
Asher Young
/hhg/, what do you guys do job-wise? What other hobbies do you have besides painting expensive resin?
William Anderson
what happened to fulgrim/slaanesh user?
Alexander Ross
he got banned for going on multiple autismic rampages
Angel Roberts
Ded game let the genral burn :DDD
Grayson Lee
FUCK IT! This Is Warhammer High General /WhHG/ Until Angelus Is Released.
Juan Martin
Newly renamed for lewdhammer high.
Angel Foster
>What other hobbies do you have besides painting expensive resin? Assembling expensive resin. Assembling/painting expensive plastic. Assembling/painting metal. Yelling at retarded online game teammates through a monitor.
Jeremiah Cooper
More lewdhammer high pics.
Jason Collins
Time to paint 21 more Sisters.
Shit.
Thomas Lopez
Got any of Sang?
Levi Cooper
Personal Trainer and Real Estate Assistant while I prep for medschool.
I lift, read, work on cars, cosplay, and wade through gratuitous amounts of anime/manga.
Gabriel Powell
This isn't even that expensive of a hobby. My wife spends more on dresses and shit.
Nicholas Richardson
Have there been any confirmed details about Sang? While listening in on a conversation with a GW manager, I heard that the head is going to be switchable (face or helmet) and the weapons too (blade or bolter). He also said it looked really good.
Any chance GW employees might be on the up and up about FW figures or should I not bother getting my hopes up?
Joshua Gonzalez
Last time I checked, the warrior doesn't have iron hands.
Checkmate decimators.
James Russell
A GW manager talking about FW? Sounds iffy to me.
Gavin Garcia
But first you'll remove all that extra plastic on the bolters and hair pieces, r-right?
Adrian Cook
Oh of course. They all get routinely cleaned before painting
Hudson Hughes
Oh, good. You had me worried there, user.
Cameron Rogers
I work as an illustrator and game artist. Other hobbies are sport related.
Josiah Cooper
Structural engineer. Lately in California that means I work too many hours to hobby. It's just as well as I have a kid now; definitely no hobby time anymore, but before the kid I worked all the time so it wasn't any better. Life sucks. I need another earthquake - that's when we have fun. Here's Christchurch, NZ in 2011 after an aftershock four months after the big one. If you're surrounded by brick buildings, run indoors. Better odds than on the sidewalk.
I also like autocross, mixing cocktails, military history, and taking pictures of birds.
Carter Morales
Doubtful, GW and FW are kept pretty seperate, its unlikely FW will be showing off secret sneak peaks to GW managers.
Also, why would Sang have a bolter option? Maybe you've accidental discovered he's coming to 40k lol
Ian Barnes
What's all this shit about Sanguinius? He's ded in 40k, and his FW model is still miles away. Dorn will come first.
Austin Garcia
I drink Belgian specialty beers and smoke longfillers as a hobby. I am a sales rep/account manager with a fancy car in daily life.
Christian Howard
The recent HH plastics have been kind of a cross-over though, with the FW designers doing the models which were then casted in plastics. Same goes for Blood Bowl.
Ahriman was made by the same dude doing the resin Thousand Sons range for FW.
Kayden Williams
I really doubt a GW employee know anything about FW releases. Hell, I always know more then my local GW manager, and I just read about the open days.
Sanguinius with a helmet would be awesome though. Hopefully a spear option also.
Jayden Hernandez
>alternate Primarch heads Confirmed for fake.
Adam King
Not yet done, but getting there. A Iron Warriors tactical squad and the Siege Breaker and Warsmith.
Camden Morales
Teacher. I also do freelance editorial work for business reports and the like. Other hobbies besides HH, Infinity and AoS are vidya (though far less than it used to be), physical training, cooking and collecting bdsm gear.
Josiah Flores
>collecting bdsm gear
Brayden Morris
Do you play Emp's children?
Noah Gray
8th is shit, people just haven't realised it yet. Every thread there are more and more voices against 8th. Some things in 7th like the psychic phase were a mess but changing it to babbys first wargame wasn't the way to go. As some user previously said, instead of taking a little off the top they just shaved everything off and said "looks good".
Ethan Gonzalez
8th is pretty bland, even though it has good core rules. Losing vehicle facings is a dumbing down, even though I like vehicles being more survivable. Movement stat isn't bad either. However HQs not being able to join squads and the way stuff is "rebalanced" is just awkward.
That said, I hate the way the game has become bland as fuck. My Renegades & Heretics army list lost all its special flavour and quirky rules that made it unique. Fug man.
Angel Wilson
>Job Customer service
>Other hobbies rugby vidya just started brewing beer buying weird shit considering DnD but my first experience was crap and I ceebs finding another group
Adrian Cooper
>Renegades & Heretics I think I remember you from an old thread, do you also collect Son's of Horus?
Ryan Diaz
World Eaters and Custodes, actually. Though I'm not sure if that's helping my case here.
Jackson Adams
I'm pissed that chapter tactics/legion rules and hq joining units are gone, but other than that it's fine. I honestly enjoy it a lot more than 7th edition though and the wrapped up all the factions into mega-codices is something I have wanted forever.
Blake White
Nah, I'm a bitterboy and a smurf-fag.
Julian James
security guard (glorified fire warden) and the vidya
Juan Wright
we're talking pillarstodes and gladiator themed WE right?
Bentley Evans
Those of you with a keen memory from last week will remember that I was taking Magnus and his guard to Warhammer World for a 2v2. The game has since come and gone so I will provide a breakdown of the key things that happened soon, aided by some pictures. Pictured here is the force I took.
Sebastian Sanders
>that list
fucking brutal
Jordan Bailey
K-k-knight user-kun is that you
Logan Ramirez
That is NOT a friendly list. Woah.
Ryder Hill
>implying we aren't in end times and Dante and sanguinius won't fuse like Sigmar and Franz I AM PRINCE AND EMPEROR
Brody Cooper
I wont bore you with the details of deployment but long story short, I ended up having to deploy all my stuff with no reserves owing to facing down a LOT of enemy infantry. Alpha Legion Leviathan in drop pod landed and melta'd my vindicator turn 1. All fire was directed at it whilst Magnus probed one of the enemy tac squad blob with attached Librarian with void shield harness o_O
Jace Hughes

Owen Murphy
Did he really bring print outs of scananon's work to warhammer world?
Alexander Fisher
If you can see the 4 Deathshroud standing around on their own, thats because Enemy Mortarion Shadowed forward to try and charge the Night Lords lascannons on the roof.
No word of a lie, Magnus blew him up in ONE psychic phase using a s9 life leech and a sD smite. At this point I felt disgusting and vowed never to take biomancy on him ever again.
Colton James
After this red asshole was done killing Morty he turned around to deal with the Leviathan but the killing blow was delivered by a chainfist terminator.
