What went wrong?

What went wrong?

Nothing. He won.

thirteen crusades

Post-2010 GW turning Chaos into a bunch of unstoppable evil sues.

>tfw the rest of the Cadia system still holds
>tfw half the galaxy's cut off by warp fuckery
>tfw Big Bobby G is actually ok
>tfw Khorne trolls BA instead of killing them
>tfw eldar god of death shows up early
>tfw daemon primarchs still getting smoked
>tfw a gorillion new 9' tall marines
>tfw Belisarius "Innovator of Traitor Deflators" Cawl
>tfw Bobby's First Crusade
>tfw "winning"

His model still doesn't look like this

Not enough Empra'

Chaos triumvirat when

>tfw still NO ARMS

>>tfw the rest of the Cadia system still holds

Doesn't matter. The Gates is broken and Crimson Path surge.

>>tfw Khorne trolls BA instead of killing them

Who cares? Khorne Blood Crusade has nothing to do with the Black Cruasade.

>>tfw Big Bobby G is actually ok

Despite his efforts, the galaxy is still doomed

>>tfw eldar god of death shows up early

Incpmplete but...

Yes and? How does this reflect on Abaddon? He isn't Slaanesh.

>>tfw a gorillion new 9' tall marines

Piss in an ocean compared to the billions of daemons storming the galaxy

> Belisarius "Innovator of Traitor Deflators" Cawl

??

>>tfw Bobby's First Crusade

Did NOZING important.

>>tfw "winning"

The Gate is broken. The 13th Black Crusade is crossing the galaxy. He has won and will continue to win. You can't stop him.

>>tfw daemon primarchs still getting smoked

They getting their asses kicked on their personal quests has no bearing on Abaddon.

>The Gate is broken. The 13th Black Crusade is crossing the galaxy. He has won and will continue to win. You can't stop him

>Believing chaos has a chance.

thats one of the worst illustrations i've seen in a while.

They over-corrected in response to the Failbaddon meme.

The Imperium has too many enemies, so from a fluff perspective it can't all be about him.

>this is what failbaddon groupies believe

No arms

Should have been slain by Celestine in Cadia and then ascend to daemonhood. New Models with functioning arms would have been nice.

...

...

>What went wrong?
Letting Aaron 'daddy issues' Bowden anywhere near Abaddon was asking for trouble.

I got both references.
Fuckit Carmen San Diego is going into my TR campaign.

I gotchu, senpai.

>tfw believed for years that Abaddon actually had no arms in the fluff
>thought CSM friend played him without arms to reflect this
>only last week learned that wasn't true

Zoggin' crazy

>Letting Aaron 'daddy issues' Bowden anywhere near a setting where fathers and sons and their relationships are the cornerstone was asking for trouble.
fixed

Jesus, this isn't even 1d4chan tier ''fan'', is your only source of 40k info shitposting on Veeky Forums?

This

t. abaddon

will she do anything lewd?

Besides the Ork fluff, yesbut only the more popular codex stories[/spoiler

No, she probably stole Lewdness from the campaign as a precaution.

GW doesn't know how to write anything in a balanced or grounded portrayal. Same thing happened when Fantasy got replaced with End Times, except Chaos weren't weak and instead they wanted to "correct" the "problem" of Chaos losing and cranked up Archaon particularly in response to complaints that he was TOO powerful already.

Pissing on the faces of their fans

Usually I'm all for normies getting into my games, the more the merrier and what not.
But you need to go and stay go

>no helmet
>NEEDS to be the BBEG
>achtchually the chosen and more and bester than daddy

That giant topnkot and tubes coming out of his face, He can't do anything, move his head, take a nap,

Everything

>this is how chaosfags think

Abbadon is so fucked BL writers are probably going to give him a really embarrassing death. Like, a horde of tau are going to smoke him in CC.

I'm pretty sure you're responding to Carnac.

his proportions ?

#2 is acceptable to me because of all the warp fuckery making him YUGE.

No, ADB is working on a whole series of Abaddon books that will stretch to like 2020. They aren't killing the main hero. The Black Legion series book 1 "Talon of Horus" have distinction of being the only BL book to have its limited edition book sold out in a single day within a few hours of its release. Not even the Primarch limited books get sold in a single day.

Abaddon is that popular and beloved.

Now picturing all space marines as #1

We made a leader of a fool, a champion born of a failure, we March to under the shadow of defeat.

Perhaps we should have never leave the eye and decay in our hedonist empires and gorge in our perversion

Now we bleed like we used in the past, we struggle in defiance and even if the long war is prove to be our undoing, we'll make sure the galaxy burns and the the false Emperor's dream dies under the gods laugh

Do not mistake the intentions of this war, we don't March to reclaim, we March out of bitter hatred, for a realm long denied and as their creators, we might as well watch it die in our grasp.

Heads don't grow when muscles do, which is part of what makes regular space marines already disproportionate to the point of freakishness, let alone marines who've been snorting warp for ten thousand years. 2 seems reasonable to me.

>tfw spoken like a true Iron Warrior.

IRON WITHIN

>iron warrior
>Chaos star on armor

reeeee
RRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEEEE

>normies getting into my games

I've played 40k for over 10 years

>only since 1997

fucking newfag

The proportions of 2 and 3 still dont really work, because he can't move his arms more than wiggling them a little. The only way he (or any of the ridiculous space marine special characters) could swing his arms is if his head is sticking out of his chest.

what is with chaos and tubes?
especially tubes into the face, what is even in them

You mean 2007?

>Abaddon is that popular and beloved

Hahahaha.

Guy's a joke on every single forum.

Oh oh oh Oh oh ohoh oh oh

So what happened to the 13th Black Crusade guys? Bobby G just crusaded for 100 years right? What the fuck was Abaddon doing during this time?

>the worst members of humanity HATE him!
Click here to find out why

>Primarch limited books last months before they are sold out
>Abaddon's Black Legion limited book gets sold out within the first hour.

Dude, I was there for it. I thank my lucky stars that I made it in time. When my friend tried to buy it in the second hour, it was GONE.

Explain this shit. You can't except Abaddon being the most popular 40K character.

>So what happened to the 13th Black Crusade guys?

It was successful. Cadia was destroyed and the biggest ever warpstorm tore the Imperium in two.

>Bobby G just crusaded for 100 years right?

Yes. The Indomitus Crusade reclaimed parts of the Imperium that had fallen in the aftermath of the 13th Black Crusade.

>What the fuck was Abaddon doing during this time?

Not yet revealed, but there is a whole half of the Galaxy beyond Bobby G's reach; the Imperium Nihilus. Abaddon may have been at work over there, but that's just my speculation.

#1 is the only acceptable responce

ADB has quite a fanbase on Bolter and Cucksword, they'd buy a turd if he was selling it.

Only because for the last 20odd years all his black crusades were failures...only when they reconned them 'i was just scouting out things haha just as planned' did he actually achieve something apart from getting some blackstones

The whole point of the 13th BC was to get to Terra. Cracking Cadia is something that should have happened eons ago.
Why doesnt someone just get rid of this useless asshole already?

Nope, the old lore doesn't call his crusades failures. Andy Chamber's article about Abaddon in 3rd begins with "ABADDON THE VICTORIOUS".

What little fluff we have about the crusade in 8th ed, says that the crusade is on its way to Terra.

So something might have slowed it or derailed it. Wait for the lore to expand it in a month or two.

Ragnar Blackmane's limited book wasn't sold out within a single day, and it was an ADB book. A good one.

Fucking hell, where's the time gone?

>100 years
>on the way
Hmmm. Really activates my almonds.

Angron's Dominion Of Fire lasted 400 years. Takes time brah.

>Takes time brah.
>13th! Black Crusade
>8000 years of build up
>Won by throwing large rock at a Cadia
>Flummoxed by what to do next because he expected another failure
It all make sense now thanks user.

Look. We don't call it the Short War, alright?

>The Gate is broken. The 13th Black Crusade is crossing the galaxy. He has won and will continue to win. You can't stop him.
t. NPC faction

We don't what exactly what happned next so there is no point to speculate until the CSM codex gets released in the end of this month or the next one/

>Just wait and see what excuse they come up with this time guys
Sad.

>implying Abaddon isn't crushing all the swarming of Orks, Eldar, Necrons, Tyranids, traitor-traitors, and Imperials trying to impede his progress.

They all know that he is great trouble to the galaxy. They ain't gonna let him through without a fight.

He's Skeletor. It's his destiny to accomplish nothing.

It's my personal theory that Bile keeps Horus' genetic material, and whenever Abbadon#X turns into a chaos-spawn for failing, he pops out a new clone, and shows the new one the last one as a reminder of the price of failure.... but he still fails because Skeletor.

Abaddon is literally the shittiest character in the book. Iskander, Ukris and Lyras were, by far, the drive of the novel.

Nobody cares about that chaos guy who cant do anything right.

I know its expecting too much from 40k but why would anyone spend 10,000 years to spread misery and death. There is no end goal, if anything Abandon is living his end goal, sowing chaos and destruction in his wake. If he ever kills the Emperor for real is when Abandon will be standing on the corpse of Terra with nothing left to live for.

Anyways, motivations that are only revenge over a gigantic span of time is pretty shitty.

When people bought it, they didn't know who were the main stars. They just knew it was a book about the Black Legion and Abaddon. That alone caused it to sell like slaaneshi hotcakes.

>Explain this shit. You can't except Abaddon being the most popular 40K character.
That is not how causation works at all. Smash yourself over the head with textbooks until all the stupid falls out of your head.

Bile is wanked enough without that atrocity of a theory.

when i got it i surely knew it wasnt about abbadon but what happened to chaos after the death of Horus.

Then i read it and loved the MAIN characters (Isk, Ukris, Lyras...).

Finally, when Hobbodon showed up inside his diogenes syndrome ship i couldnt care less about him.

Can someone explain to me whem GW started moving the plot forward? I thought Abbadon was still fighting with Creed on Cadia with no naval support.

Last year, GW released Warzone Fenris: Curse of the Wulfen and Warzone Fenris: Wrath of Magus, which began inching the plot forward. January of this year they began the Gathering Storm (Fall of Cadia, Fracture of Biel-Tan, Rise of the Primarch) series, which resolves the 13th Black Crusade, the bith of Ynnead and the return of Roboute Gulliman.

They then threw in a 100 years-and-a-bit timeskip between that and the setting as it stands in 8th edition.

Ward's returning

>Can someone explain to me whem GW started moving the plot forward?
5th edition retconned the eye of terror campaign and set the clock back to before the 13th black crusade started.

Everything after that slowly moved the story forward, culminating in the whole Gathering Storm set of books, which was the 13th Black Crusade again but bad.

Okay. Also, isn't Ward no longer writing for GW? If so, why did they make Toilet primarch the Imperial Warmaster? Terrible fucking choice.

>why did they make Toilet primarch the Imperial Warmaster?
because he was

1: alive
2: actually present, not MIA
3: not full retard

The only one in a similar situation is Lion-O, but his mental state is questionable. The other primarchs will obviously come after robert lays some foundation.

I think he meant 'why did GW make Girlyman the warmaster'. They choose who is and isn't MIA, after all.

The answer is that, of the handful of primarchs that could act as wide ranging leaders for a new imperium (lion, dorn, girlyman), girlyman would take the most offense at the imperium's current state given how hard he pushed for a meritocratic libertarian utopian society, and drama is a good thing.

I think the thing that went wrong with abadon was bringing horus to the snake lodge for healing. which is eribuses fault because he's the dark apostle who suggested it. which is logars fault because he was a whingeing bitch who needed a deity. so everything is logars fault. so no surprises there.

FUCK YOU LOGAR

BEEP BEEP CORPSE-EMPEROR FUCKERS!

And running stuff is his speciality, unlike other primarchs that are good at tactics, and killing, and building fortresses, etc (unless Matt Ward is writing and he's better at all of that stuff too).

Roboute is the best at strategy and planning a campaign, Lion is the best at tactics and leading the army on the field. Bobby is also a pretty good fighter, he beat the shit out of Lorgar and Angron (until Angron REEEEEE'D, at least).

>Bobby is also a pretty good fighter
he got beaten by angron, magnus, kor pheron and fulgrim and drew with mortarion and lorgar

not the best record

>he got beaten by angron
He was winning until Angron went full retard, was already exhausted from fighting Lorgar, and had to retread because Angron ascended.
>magnus
Magnus is bullshit powerful. The way psykers are presented, he should have been easily stronger then all other Primarchs combined.
>kor pheron
Not the best showing but he got stunned for like a second and then ripped his heart out and made him run.
>fulgrim
Arguably best fighter among Primarchs and a fucking Daemon Prince to boot.
>and drew with lorgar
Didn't he beat him so bad angron had to step in?

You're a piece of shit.

>>tfw Bobby's First Crusade

>Did NOZING important.
Except establish a dmz and "reinforce countless chapters" and form new ones to hold that dmz.
My guess is future fluff will look like this: chaos holds one gate to imperial nihilus the imperium holds the other there is only war and whatnot

Except it is. Show me any one other limited edition book that sold out on its first day. You can't.

>Magnus is bullshit powerful.

Here is a list of people who beat Magnus
>Russ
>Iskandor Khayon
>Bjorn
>Logan with the Khornate axe + Grey Knights

Fucking this. The fact that Abbadon still doesn't have a new model is a god damn disgrace.

>Russ beat Magnus!
>even though Magnus wasn't even fighting back

Russ couldn't beat shit, he was just an annoying faggot

>Iskandor Khayon
Trying too hard mate.

Magnus was trying to kill Russ for real. He was punching his fist through his chest aiming for his heart. Stop throwing memes at me.
>Named King Breaker for defeating The Crimson King
