With all this scale creep, I'm worried about GKs. Is voldus the same scale as regular GKs or is it larger?

Literally every loyalist Space Marines chapter has a good reason to be fighting alongside the Guard. X threatens the Imperium. The Imperial Guard is dispatched to fight it. A chapter of Space Marines, of its own accord, decides that this fight matters more than the others and dispatches a bunch of Marines to help. The end.

If I had to choose I'd go with BT, they actually use the warrior monk knight theme marines are suppose to have.

It looks like GKs are not getting upgrades anytime soon. Voldus seems to be the same size, we probably could expect some HQ release along with the codex, but I guess that's it. Giving them primaris alongside normal units would make even less sense than with regular SMs, it's either full replacement or no replacement for the next 3-4 years.

Move Celestine, the Dominions and the Seraphim into an Outrider Detachment

Drop Inferno Pistols on the Seraphim, and then either drop two Seraphim or take away the P Mauls and S Bolters on the Sister Supriors in the troops slots. Then add another Canoness with the points you just dropped to make it a legal Battalion.

Hell why not triple plasma on a 5 man squad, since for some retarded reason (the 3 man snap fit box) the Champion can take a plasma gun as well.

I did my Plague Marines today.

Figured I had them done but I think I can retouch them a bit, maybe give the armour some drybrushing to add more detail and another wash.

The thing is if you want a standard Plasma gun on the champion, you need to take the power fist as well. It's more cost effective to take a Combi-Plasma on the champion.

Unless you're looking for official material, googling "Astartes Template" will get you several options.

But it's not. I live in Burgerstan and would kill to be able to find Vallejo in Wally world and not have to drive over an hour to find it.

They look groovy. Consider washing the bronze, it looks kind of flat.

The eyes on the right would be rad if they were more glowy, consider blending up to pink.

Remember to thin it down. I've found drybrushing with cheap paints works best. it's not citadel but it's cheap and helped me repaint my Empire and my space marines before 8e came out when I found a new job

Pyrovores. 10 inch range, with a method of reliably deploying them 9 inches away. It's not necessarily a direct buff, but with the changes to deep striking units they got a lot better than the joke they were used to be.

Again dreadnoughts alongside most vehicles

8th edition was a real blessing for my dreadnought heavy army, they soak up large amounts of firepower and can really bring the pain with the new damage system for heavy weapons along with their close combat weapons hitting like a freight train. Not going to miss 7th, where anything stronger than a mean look would cause them to suddenly explode before they could do anything.

Favorite unit in 8th is the Land Raider Crusader, it just shits out dakka and it can actually take a few hits now.
I don't know about most improved in the whole game, but I'm most excited about Lukas the Trickster, +1 to hit rolls for bloodclaws is way cooler then what he used to do.
I guess I'm sort of starting a new army for 8th, in 7th I only played on TTS, but now I've bought my SW army for reals.
No pics now, I'm still pretty early in assembly.

The traditional 5 girl squad with Heavy flamer, Flamer and combi-flamer is way too expensive.

Storm Bolter on the other hand are so cheap that allow you have 4 girl squad with SB instead of 3 with Flamers.

Since flamers have 8" and can be dick over in overwatch by anyone that isn't brain dead, SB seem to be better by simply being more reliable than flamers

Imagine my surprise when I ordered a FW grey knight dread on eBay for $65 and when I opened the box today out came two of them.

I went back, checked the item description for the listing and it was indeed for the pair the entire time.

As far as I can tell they're genuine, plus they each have two auto cannon arms.

Some days we just get lucky I guess.
