I'm starting to kind of hate it whenever someone brings up metroid stuff here, but for basically all the hunters the answer is "like Samus, but less so"

Where are the tubes on that suit?

Space: 5
Pirate: 4
Turret for a spine: 5

Science Team at its finest.

Science Team has vapor for brains!
VAPOR!

LIKE SAMUS BUT LESS SO.

What did he mean by this?

Well some of them can turn invisible or ice skate or turn into a giant robot so lots have something she can't do.

Loved all the hunters in Corruption. Shame they all had to die.

Many could have started in their own games,

>Metroid Handling Protocols, 07.202.02
>Metroids are not pets. Metroids are not for target practice. Finally, unauthorized feeding of Metroids is still strictly prohibited.

Pirate logs were one of the best bits of the Prime series. Who knew a bunch of psuedo-reptilian bugs were all so snarky?

d20pfsrd.com/bestiary/monster-listings/undead/manananggal/

>The Battlehammer is powered by a miniature nuclear reactor. This Heavy-Duty repeater is recommended only for those familiar with high-caliber weaponry.
This shit would be ridiculous by 40k standards.

This is actually the one interesting statting scenario. This character is a hunter like the rest who can use guns, yes, but will separate into a bit that runs around and a stationary turret using his health. Not common stuff in any kind of game and hard to stat.

>The VOLT DRIVER draws energy from the planetary electromagnetic field and converts it into multi-terawatt bursts of HIGHVOLTAGE.
>terawatt
This shit could power an entire country.

The metroid universe has some completely whack tech and evolution on steroids. I always remember the type of war wasp in Prime that fires a stinger that can shear through steel and the fact that basic animals require more than one shot from military grade directed energy weapons to kill.

>Imperium manages to reach outside galaxy
>stumbles onto Tallon, SR388 or Zebes
>Fuck this planet, Exterminatus
>planet explodes right before the exterminatus button is pressed & a small orange ship is seen leaving

SR388 would fuck them the second a ground team comes back with some X parasites as a stowaway. From there the rest of the universe is fucked because of said X parasites

>The SHOCK COIL is a prototype federation weapon that emits a concentrated beam of high-density NEUTRINOS within a set radius.
This would actually be super weak or a fuckton of fast neutrinos. Getting hit by trillions might not do shit on Earth so that's some extreme stuff.

So Weavel fought Samus in Brinstar? How does that make sense?

He was a very important pirate who happened to be out going for a walk in Brinstar and look identical to the other Brinstar pirates.

I don't think the space pirates spawned in brinstar in zero mission/original.

So is he making a reappearance in the next one?

>Equipped with a Zoom function ideal for Precision targeting. The Imperialist fires a thin and lethal laser beam with high accuracy over long distances.
To think that of all the crazy weapons in Hunters, the one everyone rushes to get in multiplayer has "a lethal & thin laser" describing it. No nuclear power source, no sub-zero shit, just "it's a laser". The Kriken Empire must be some deadly fuckers.

>The JUDICATOR is powered by cold-fusion synthesis. It fires SUPERCOOLED PLASMA at temperatures approaching absolute zero.
Well that shit's cold. Is supercooled plasma a thing? Either way, it's nice to see that everyone's armor can handle that. Then again, everyone's armor handles hard vacuum just fine.

>The MAGMAUL, powered by a hyperstatic hydrogen core, fires cohesive projectiles of SUPERHEATED MAGMA.
Ain't that how stars work? A hydrogen core like that? It's nice how in fiction, nobody bursts into flames from just getting close. No plasma gun even comes close.

OK maybe he gets some kind of sick sexual thrill from dressing up as a geemer and they decided to say he was out there fighting as a cover-up.

Yeah X parasites would do terrible terrible things to the 40K universe. Ironically a setting with lower-density space civilizations and lower-frequency of travel would stand the best chance against them. X in 40k is like a flu in Beijing.

X, Phazon, And metroids themselves are all really really high tier threats. especially when transplanted into other scifi universes

I actually don't agree. Metroids aren't nearly as dangerous as X and neither is phazon. They just happen to counter it.

How many shots would it take before solar winds start peeling away the atmosphere?

what-if.xkcd.com/73/

>armor handles hard vacuum just fine
Bare metal in space reaches ~260°C
The only way to lose heat there is to radiate it

Well plasma is just gaseous ions, so cold salt I guess.

They are immune to all energy weapons that aren't ice based, and all physical weapons unless frozen.
What races(s) in 40k could reliably deal with them?

Orks?

In the later evolutions, they lost the cold weakness. Then Fusion came & the Omega Metroids had to be killed by Ice Beam alone & not Super Missile spam.

The weird thing about Omega Metroids was that they were vulnerable to Ice Beam but not Ice Missiles.

They're not impossible to kill without freezing, they just require Samus's heaviest firepower like Super Missiles and Power Bombs.

It wasn't just the Ice Beam. It was a combination of the Ice, Plasma (passes through multiple enemies) and Wave (passes through walls) Beams used to attack their internal organs.

How?

Weevil isn't much like Samus beyond the arm cannon, really.

His legs turn into a gun.

That doesn't explain much. Samus had access to several of those items previous. Next, Diffusion Missiles should be at least as strong as Super Missiles.

Y'know what ELSE of his turns into a gun?

>Randall Monroe
kys

>Next, Diffusion Missiles should be at least as strong as Super Missiles.
Stronger, she already had Super Missiles before getting the Ice Missiles, which she then further upgrades to Diffusion.

I would have played the shit out of so many of those.
>Spire
Open-galaxy RPG, main plot of tracking down clues to some Diamont secret (Possibly - GASP - a lost city with survivors), taking bounties for $$$.

>Noxus
Literally just ice Samus with a whole organization backing him.

>Kanden
Shooter in the vein of Half Life or Doom 2016 about his escape from the lab

>Sylux
Hopefully going to be in MP4

Megatron?

Yes

The real question is why we haven't seen more Kriken in the series
They LOOK like bad guys. Like, big bad type guys.
Yet they have ONE appearance.

Maybe in Metroid Prime 4.

They will find a way..Or just lead there guns with peaces of ice

I've always imagined that Kriken scientists are crazy fuckers who just make crazy shit work somehow against all odds and logic, even if they have to go through several annihilations of Kriken colonized planets to accomplish that.

I mean, there has to be a very good reason why the Kriken rite of passage is "find us a fucking nice planet we can settle down on. Or at least some good technology, that shit's acceptable too".

It's more "Find us a good place to invade" & Trace thought that a WMD would do just fine. It's like how the Saiyans love sending babies.

well given his stealth technology, who's to say that entire species doesn't have a fetish for stealth
say their colonies look like uninhabited planets because they're all underground, their warships are equipped with cloaking fields strong enough nobody notices them until they start blasting shit and they've gotten very good at disguising their raids as natural disasters/space pirate incursions

metroid universe is crazy enough an entirely invisible empire is not out of place

That would be some scary stuff. Imagine them quietly and invisibly burrowing deep beneath planets before the invasion phase. Then when they start the invasion, the entire planet gets overwhelmed from both sides by subterranean attackers and orbital attackers.

The DEldar suddenly feel butthurt & it's not because of Slaanesh's penis. It's envy.

not to mention they'd probably be damn good at blocking signals so suddenly all communications die as well, the entire thing is perfectly coordinated (insect race and what not) and a couple of hours later, when the federation sends someone over to investigate just why the comms blacked out they've long since left that place and made it look like a freak asteroid hit it

So have we found an ass that rivals Samus yet?

Maybe Sylux if they make him more competent in Prime 4.

>him
>implying any male can rival SamASS

THE BABY
THE BABY
THE BABY
THE BABY
THE BABY
THE BABY

>Sylux
>Male
>Not secretly a girl so they can pull the Samus reveal AGAIN.

>tfw they will never do a Sylux is a renegade Chozo reveal

Have we seen a female Chozo yet? I hope they're cute.

Downy Feather Pubes

Niiiiiiiice.

When is Prime 4 coming out?

Dark Samus?

Not just DEldar being butthurt, but Tyranids too!

Can the Tyranids feel butthurt?

If you fuck a Tyranid forcefully enough, yes.

boards.fireden.net/tg/thread/54129683/#54160575

Reminder that he got his position by physically crawling to the top of a giant heap of Kriken.

>implying feathery pubes are the same

Has anyone fucked a Tyranid before? Not counting genestealers.

Several Slaanesh cults.

...

NANOTUBES, SON!

Were they successful?

So what you're saying is, this tube...is made of tubes?

No one knows, including the developers. We literally have nothing other than a title screen (meaning they have nothing to show yet). Bet on a couple years at least.

Halo/10

Reminder:

>the Chozo were not simply technologically advanced, but had some innate sorcery as part of their being
>they were capable of inflicting change on virtually anything, from their environment to DNA
>they could perceive the leylines of destiny, and were famous for playing the long game
>they ascended to a higher plane of existence, yet still act to influence the mortal realm from beyond

...

Who is this bargain basement Fulgore clone?

This kid got ultra combo'd so hard he doesn't realize how dumb he sounds.

Any good setting that could flesh out a space bounty hunter one-shot with the different hunters as playable races?

Traveller

small numbers mean it's easier to grasp for new players.

Combat resolves quickly and rewards tactical combat.

And your equipment is your life blood, since it's a skill based system.

try cepheus engine, it's mongoose traveller with better editing and for free.

At very minimum, they managed to steal the show with those few seconds. One logo did what many trailers could not. It wasn't Twilight Princess reveal but it was big.

...

F-Zero.

Fucking bird magic

Speaking of fucking, how to Chozo fuck?

Level 5.
HP 20
Attacks as level 7
Armor 4
Blade does fire damage

Pretty sure longevity with early infertility is why they died off?

Sorta. They lived so long that their DNA started fucking up & they were so long-lived coupled with sky high life expectancy that no one cared to make kids.

They even sound like bad guys, given that they're a super expansionist empire that sends their young out to murder something as a manhood quest.

Die off of ancient races seems to be a theme in metroid. Especially those races more or less finishing science then taking up mysticism in their twilight years.

God that looks ugly.

So what pirate is Weavel? Is he a Kihunter?

...So what you're saying is, Magnus and Sammy would probably be able to find some common ground?
