What's your opinion on Cybernetics Jumpers?

Unnecessary.

>yfw her being completely invisible means nobody can tell when you're playing with her in the middle of public

Fucking radical

Except everybody's gonna see your hands doing weird shit.

Why do you think wizards invented the disillusionment spell?

And they'll HEAR her.

Do they have to be Cyber? I've got more Organic Grafts then Cybernetic. Then I got Infested, and now everything is integrated together due to my Mutalist Strain. It's wonderful.

They're just gonna see yo dick hangin out in broad daylight like a fukken coat hanger.

I generally have my symbiote eat them and convert them into more reliable organic structures that can take full advantage of any healing.

Pic Related.

user if I slip in the middle of public because of some invisible girl goo I'm going to be very cross with you.

As an Angel/Zerg/Disease/Tyranid/Demon Lord, I refuse to attach tech to myself. I'd rather pilot it.

Other than DBZ, isn't Rising the series with the most impressive cybernetics we have a jump for? Even all these years later.

Okay.

Hear me out on this.

TIME STOP.

I too read that doujin.

They're quite high up but I believe GUNNM is better.

Being an Ethereal Spirit is basically hardmode for In Nomine, right?

Cool, but bio-enhancement is better.

Incorrect. If people saw what was inside her we would see her food being digested, which we don't.
Though people would see his fingers disappearing.

Need a reality check. If I used the many whatever-to-whatever perks available to turn computer hardware into a spell into code, would I be able to make files that let people literally download more RAM or upgrade their processors?

Personally don't care how you do your stuff, One Armed user, just be sure to clean up afterwards.

Which one. The one with the 'Super Hero' or the one with the people who make deals with the Devil?

Why not? After all, a certain someone did start off with genetic tampering.

Hey Heavens, sorry to pester you, but I've been trying to read up on Highschool DxD stuff. Problem is that stuff I can find online is sparse and contradictory and I have neither the time nor the inclination to read the series right now. So one of the main things I'm unclear on is that did the MC get turned into a dragon from using Boosted Gear? Could someone else also become a dragon if they bought Boosted Gear?

No it isn't. Gunmm is easily better than Rising by far. Raiden can only hope that his sword is as broken as the Damascus Blade

If you do a good job enough making them, they ought to be indistinguishable from the real thing-until it's time to try out any upgrades, of course. So the cybernetic liver should store it's levitating plasma cannon OUTSIDE the patient's chest cavity in a nullspace pocket, and the cybernetic knees should control gravity fields directly, instead of sprouting primitive rocket heels.

Well on the one hand, there's multiples of legendary monsters like the Chimera. And Fenrir and Jormungand apparently had a lot of babies at some point. And according to the campaign simulator thingy, one god who isn't even famous for his combat prowess can solo multiple Titans in his super mode: World-shaping giants that tower above mountains.

On the other hand? Most of the time the gods only act through proxy. Just stay the heck away from Atlantis and anywhere a gate to the Underworld (especially the Titans' prison) opens up to, and you'll be well away from the most major power struggle.

Oh, and-don't piss off Thoth, Hel or Hecate. The deities who can summon meteor(s), summon the dragon destined to to end the world even though he's totes killable ingame with a shitton of archers or just one hero archer and rip Tartarus a new asshole to raze the earth with a giant hellfire skull that spews abominations respectively.

China is shit to play and OP in the hands of a competant AI, what the fuck. All their myth uniques are so hyperspecialised they die in seconds outside one gimmick (and all but 1 of the Myth era ones are worthless), but they arguably zerg rush better than the Egyptians. And their favor generation is utter TRASH.

Speaking of cybernetics, I think I've finally completed a comprehensive list of all the jumps with things, perks, and items that can give people magic or superpowers.

>pastebin.com/wVeETdy2
Is there anything I missed?

It's nice, but nanotech or power armor is almost always better or more convenient.

That seems to be what happens, yeah. Continual use of Boosted Gear turns Issei into something a bit more 'Dragon' than 'Devil', and I recall him being addressed as such later on. Whether or not constant exposure of it will eventually transform you in a similar way is up to you, since...CP purchase and all.

If someone with better memory wants to chime in, they can. Flipping through the actual light novels is like looking for a piece of hay among an entire field of broken glass.

>just be sure to clean up afterwards.

That's just basic politeness.

>Is there anything I missed?
There's definitely a lot more jumps than just that list which give magic or powers.

>doujin
COUGHING NOISES

Tell me travelers, do you kneel to your king?
Perhaps you are yourself a king? or Pharaoh? Tell me of when you have knelt to Royalty willingly or unwilling.

Tell me when when you have met true Royalty.

Dunno about any hero but I'm familiar with the high-school couple who had time freeze whenever they were next to each other.

Least, until they had the kid.

The only road to Royalty is through Violence! I acknowledge no king nor queen for the Sanctioned Action is to Cut. Regicide is the only Path!

That's the one with the Devil deals.

While I've never been to the Practical Guide world, I'm going to have to quote Black here:
"I do not kneel."

Sorry, I'm a classic republican. Gonna have to get that Tyranny shit out of before I revolution the fuck out of you.

What's that called?

No king rules forever.

Sorry user it's been ages since I went on a read for stuff like that so I can't recall it's name.

Is it the one with the demon that tells them to use protection?

Yep.

>it's not forcing anything on you and you know how it works.
Sorry. To clarify. I have Five Magic. I have Ice Magic. I have Earth Magic. I have Air Magic. I have Light Magic. I have Dark/Shadow magic. I am an Arch Angel. I am a Demon King. I am many other things also, but this only works in magic I think? This is a perk that to use it, will destroy some existing capability I have. And there are many, many other learning perks that don't make you untalented in some other area.

As is, this is paying 200/100 CP to have the opportunity to take away your potential. I would never see someone taking this without the ability to disable it. At the very least I'd give a chance to remove the debuff and learning/skill boosts after a decade or a jump ends, whichever comes first.

>Partly because they get the monster races section
Eh, monsters pay to be monsters in the monster section, for everything except being green.

Maybe a Monster Horde to match the other 400 CP items? And have the buying the band of monsters make the free cave bigger (to have room for them in there as well)

It's alright, user. Thanks anyway.

Zero Escape jump when?

FUCKING NEVER.

>Flipping through the actual light novels is like looking for a piece of hay among an entire field of broken glass.
... If that's how you feel, why did you make the jump?

I kneel to good Rulers, yes, though they can be hard to come by. Anyone who possesses the power of a King or Queen, but still puts the good and well-being of the people over their own, is worthy of my respect.

And yes, I am Royalty, and have been in a few of my lifetimes.

Time stripper Reika I think

>Kneeling to your inferiors.

There are two kinds of jumps that I like making: The kind where I feel personally challenged, and the kind where I really like the setting.

I liked what I saw of the DxD anime in a guilty pleasure sort of way, even as I acknowledged it was more than a bit dumb. So when it went up for grabs for a remake, I decided to give it a go. How bad could it be, I asked?

Meanwhile reading the translated novels was like having an icepick jammed into my temple. It was...really, really difficult to read. It's also really inconsistent.

tha's a different one, but same premise of devil granting time-stop powers.

In my 30 years jumping I haven't met a member of royalty yet.

Alright, thanks man.

Monarchies and I don't really get along. I almost always end up becoming the giant dragon that steals everyone's treasure, or the evil wizard that tries to conquer everything.

Could you name any?

What are the power levels like in The Gamer?

yes

Hey, I really liked your idea about jumper gaining stuff by pieces of a world getting absorbed into them. Do you mine if I halfway rip that off for my own chain?

I don't have access to the drive right now to check, but off the top of my head I'm pretty sure some of Wakfu's rpg jumps have magic bestowing methods. And if you're going to be putting in Dirge's jumps anyways there's probably a good number of them hidden away somewhere.

To rule on earth is... beneath me. Those who devote themselves to me, and attain the greatest heights of spiritual purity, gain my blessings to rule wherever they tread. But I strive not to supplant kings who rule their domain rather than blindly strip it of whatever can be used to benefit only their lives, even when they and theirs find my commandments abominable.

I grabbed Worm that Walks and the Worm Farm in Fate/Stay Night. What's an interesting non-traditional option for my Worms? I was thinking of going with Pigeons or Seagulls, because those are often considered to be pests, but I'm think those are much to large for these options.

Spiders.

Okay. I'm still not seeing the problem. You seem to be looking at this from a chain perspective, which I don't think I really need to consider here? It fits the series example it is drawing on and taking a temporary debuff makes no sense. If you want to use another learning perk, go ahead, I'm not making the perk to compete against others.

You're making yourself less innately talented at one thing to gain more innate talent in another. You don't need to completely destroy your ability in one thing, you can simply lower it a fair amount to increase another. But it's not like putting a training weight on that you can take on later. It's to represent how some characters in series were just worse at some magics to compensate for being better at others.

>monster stuff
And the other origins pay for their 400cp item too. In both cases it's just a matter of giving them more choice. I don't really want to do a monster horde because there's already two of those and it doesn't really fit, since all the monster hordes have been under the control of a non monster.

Sure, go nuts. Have fun with it, user!

I kneeled to Queen Elodie from LLTQ when I became corporeal.
That's pretty much the bar for royalty. You have to be good, kind leader for me to even think of kneeling. Add some child innocents onto it and there is a good chance.
Otherwise, even for rulers I respect I don't bow to as, at the least, a basic show of "I do not serve you." message.
I also like to use lines like "The idea of kneeling, it's- You see, fighting armies off singlehandedly and making all your men like children, uh, well it's left a nasty cramp in my leg, so kneeling will be hard for me."

Bacteria is canon to Fate apparently.

Does Kage provide any protection against the stuff you grab, or are you just... grabbing it... to look cool, I guess?

Awesome. Flesh is more flexible and easier to repair, but non-living materials can handle high-power loads more easily. Very handy.

Free men bow to no man.

Probably a little? Enough to generally survive the particular crazy stuff you do but you'd still need to be able to survive contact.

Does Kage allow you to stand or walk on air or water?

>Is there anything I missed?
Duel Monsters, the Heroes.
Visions of Tomorrow can take any piece of tech and turn it onto magic. Now give that magic to someone else.
Lets you do cheap empowerment if you have access to cheap tech. Like turn a cheap solar calculator watch into a number counting spell, a pair of binoculars of night vision goggles into a vision spell, spring heeled boots into a jumping spell. A gun into a magic finger gun.

Also look at one of the Drop-Ins items. Helmets that give powers. You can learn how to modify or make your own eventually.

Jumper Empress of Jumper Eyes is missing, lets you give anyone versions of eyes you possess.

It helps that Issei died and was resurrected in a body made from Great Red's flesh. So even without the other dragonification, he counts as one metaphysically.

>you'd still need to be able to survive contact.
You mean direct hits, or enough to touch the things?

Of course.

Probably just surviving contact.

Thanks!

>Probably just surviving contact.
Yeah, but what does that mean? You'd need to be able to tank the attack you try to catch or be harmed in the process?

I find it funny how as a great and terrible Dragon you can pay more cp to be dead. No dragon babes for ol' skeletor.

Also in addition to that there is something for handing out eye based powers in Siren: Blood Curse as well.

If you're trying to grab and throw fire, it's not going to work if you instantly die on touching the fire. But if it's just going to burn you a little, you can do what you want with it.

Same with lasers. If it'd instantly vaporise you on contact, it still probably will, but if it'd just do damage then you'd be able to interact with it.

who says you're free?

Yeah, the fan-translation is pretty sloppy, has terrible grammar and sentence structure. Gratuitous Japanese, too. You don't have to call Issei the Hakuryuuitei. Just call him the Red Dragon Emperor! It sounds cooler and more formal than using a Japanese title, and is more easily read. Ddraig is Welsh, for fuck's sake, he has no attachment to the Japanese language. Calling Issei the Ymerawdwr Ddraig Goch would make more sense if you really need to use a non-English title.

>Is there anything I missed?
Kingdom Hears is missing.
Oathkeeper? lets you give someone the ability to summon weapons from nowhere.
And revert from damage or destruction.
which also means spend ammo recovers for weapons that use them.

Flies

I.

Men who would rule by making others bow before them don't deserve such respect and those who do deserve it don't want it.

God damn it Taylor.

So is the main point of the perk the speed and magic boost, and that trait just a flavor thing? Because you'd have to actively choose to let something harm you instead of just dodging it.

Noblesse has a lot of stuff for that, including a perk that lets your augmentation treatments count the subject as a baseline human no matter what they are or how they've been augmented. Probably the best perk for stacking augmentations.

No? I'm not understanding what's so hard about it. It's not letting you survive anything you can possibly interact with. I'm just saying if something's going to kill you on touch, this perk won't prevent that even if you could still interact with things you normally can't.

Kneeling to a king? He's gonna have to have done something to earn the right for me to bow to him. I have found most kings wanting and not worthy enough. I only bow so that I may not make diplomacy difficult between us when I am to deliver a warning or to improve the kingdom somewhat.

But a willing bow? That is quite rare from me.

Locusts or snakes?

Alright, seems pretty underwhelming, but eh. It's optional.

Also gonna throw in my lot and say Spiders.

That's because you're thinking of it as a defense. It's really to interact with non-solid things as if they were solid, which is pretty cool.

I was considering Snakes actually. I really want to do Doves, but I'm not sure if they're a valid choice. I think they're small enough...? I'm a pretty strictly good-aligned Jumper, so I'd prefer a "vermin" that isn't universally considered as such (which Is why I'm considering Snakes).

I might go Daddy Long-Legs. Those would probably make for some pretty gnarly familiars.

If bacteria is valid, then that. Otherwise, get some jumping spiders up in there. Be the cute abomination.

How good is Mage The Awakening Life magic at fucking with genetics? Can I fake an Umbrella Corp with it or no?

That'd be a really, really boring Worm Form if it were dedicated to bacteria.

WoD Mortals question.

How bad an idea is being an Innocent Purified?

Bacteria won't work for that particular pair of options, no. Not opposed to maybe doing something for it once I get to Strange Fake however.

It's cool but it's not very useful. In a high-fantasy world that draws heavily from D&D, it's a nifty party trick, maybe a 200 CP effect.

You can walk on air and water? Whoop-de-doo, so can an apprentice-level flight spell. You can manipulate light with your hands? Why not just do it with a word? You can throw fire away from a burning building? Pyromancy. Or conjure water. And if something uses such an attack on you, a counter-spell or ward is safer and easier. Except where magic could do it at range, you have to risk life and limb to do basic things. I'm thinking of it as a defense, because that's where it'd be vaguely relevant.

I remember there was a way to make your imaginary friend a freaking monster that fights for you at one point. But I can't recall how you do it any longer.

That'd be neat!

>so I'd prefer a "vermin" that isn't universally considered as such
Moths. Locusts are also grasshoppers.
