but its just a bit older than humanity... its totally experimental!
Jayden Green
Making up army concepts for Total Warhammer is fun.
Halfling Hunters - Standard missile unit
Halfling Militia - Standard melee unit with spears Halfling Militia (Shields) - Version with both shield and spear
Halfling Riders - light cavalry mounted on ponies, armed with bows and close combat weapons
Halfling Hot Pot - Classic Halfling artillery unit
Mercenary Ogres - Costly heavy melee units to give the force some melee power
Halfling Fieldwardens - Elite skirmishers armed with close combat weapons and slings, have bonuses versus undead units
- - - *Moving beyond the rank & file Hedge Wizard - Human caster hero providing Halflings with magical abilities (Lore of Beasts? Fire? ...Light?) Halfling Adventurer - Sneaky melee/ranged hero Halfling Gamekeeper - Ranged hero, specialised in functions relating to minding your territory on the strategic world map
*Now the real problem with Halflings is when it comes to making up LORDS for them, since they are not the Lordly sort
Master Chef - 'Melee' lord but more focused around buffing army
*But what about a Legendary Lord? They do have an Elector Count.. would she just be even better at strengthening the abilities and morale of the army with her special rules than the generic chef? When it comes to her mount like other races legendaries... the standard ride for halfling heroes would obviously be a war-pony but as for Elector Count Hisme Stoutheart she could always upgrade to riding around on the Souptank Kathleen!
Oliver Perry
>started collecting Warhams when was a poor student >half-assed half of my models because poorfag, lazy, and didn't use imagination >now i gotta remake half the units so they don't look as shit
WHY DID I THINK JUST STRAIGHT UP GLUING ONE GLADE GUARD AND ONE LONG DRYAD ARM TO A DRYAD TORSO IS ACCEPTABLE?! JESUS FUCKING CHRIST!
Liam Sullivan
>But what about a Legendary Lord? Marius Leitdorf.
Ethan Rogers
look at hafllings in Age of Wonder 3, might give ya ideas
also, "Lord" is nothing more than a label. they ain't gotta be that strong. heck, empire General sucks dicks against half the Heroes in the game. still a Lord.
also, oversized chicken as a mount
Ayden Adams
>oversized chicken as a mount Square-Enix will sue.
Zachary Cooper
a cock then. give 'em "rooster knights" or something
Benjamin Jackson
He's dead. That's part of the reason the Moot even has their own Elector Count and thus a vote during their meetings.
And Boris Todbringer already functions in the game as a generic elector count so it would be kind of boring, unless they were planning on adding ALL of them to the game as playable units which would be pretty cool.
Hunter Brown
Did Countess Emmanuelle get her job only because she's hot?
Jason Ross
There are other dead lords in the game.
Joshua Taylor
That is SLANDER you cur!
I shall see you upon the dueling fields this instant.
Joshua Nguyen
That's not really fair though, you have a runefang.
Aiden Barnes
But if you're making a halfling army why would you avoid using the halfling elector count? Give her a runefang that takes two of her sons or grandsons to carry for her in battle
Camden Watson
Because she slept with guy from OP pic.
Jack Moore
Marius is in game already, m8. He's with Azhag and Vlad in the Kroak club of giving zero fucks about being dead
Isaiah Martinez
It worked I guess.
Aaron Bailey
The elder of moot is not an elector-count and doesn't have a runefang.
On a more serious note (relatively speaking. I mean, we are talking Halflings here), a Masterblaster Halfling/Ogre duo would be awesome.
Ryder Cruz
Less wrong than you.
Jose Moore
Because her family's claim was solid and because she is an extremely cunning social networker who surrounds herself with useful agents to handle the business of running Nuln and Wissenland while she parties and fucks.
The Lahmians are keen to recruit her.
Mason Bailey
>Master Chef You called?
On a more serious note (relatively speaking. I mean, we are talking Halflings here), a Masterblaster Halfling/Ogre duo would be awesome.
Nicholas Nguyen
Name checks out.
Brody Martinez
She's also surrounded by fedora tipping nice guys that also happen to work with skaven. Sounds like she already is a Lahmian.
Wyatt Fisher
Why do I have to explain basic fluff to /v/ermin?
Cameron Reyes
Giving her a runefang is a joke from two threads ago, because it would be funny to see Hobbits trying to use one (and not all of them are recovered). But the Elector Count(ess) herself is an existing character.
Hunter Rogers
>Emmanuelle von Liebwitz, Grand Countess of Wissenland, Countess of Nuln, and Duchess of Meissen is the current Elector Count of Wissenland who gained her seat around the same time that Karl Franz was crowned Emperor. A childhood friend of the current ruler, she had a claim to the title of Elector Count, but not a good one. By currying the favour of Franz—some suggest she seduced him—she took the title of Elector Countess in 2503 IC.
Ryder Cruz
Fuck off, Carnac.
Caleb Lee
One guy, who was killed.
Adrian Reyes
>everyone who uses actual fluff sources must be Carnac!
Gavin Walker
So I'm suffering a mordheim itch, but my WHFB minis are in storage several states away due to a recent job move.
Are there any good ways to get into or set up a proper Mordheim campaign online nowadays?
Nathaniel Sullivan
...
Ryan Powell
I'm just here to say that in place of imperial mercenary ogres (or on top of them) I would give halflings the more docile half-ogres, who don't actually have any interspecies breeding going on, but are named that way because they have settled down around halflings in a stable way
Samuel Carter
Yes, he is an elector, not an elector count, so he doesn't have a runefang.
Nathan Wilson
Knowing Karl-Franz, he chose her because he considered her trustworthy enough and not politically powerful enough to form some sort of cooperation with Todbringer or other troublemakers. Certainly it was a good choice, since Emmanuelle's ambitions are mostly centered around Nuln and she's opened her purse...I wanna say twice for loans to the Empire.
Owen Garcia
why ain't she the countess in TWWH?
Ian Anderson
They didn't bother making female count model, its not necessary for game.
Kevin James
Wrong. He doesn't have a Runefang because the Moot wasn't a separate province when they were made, and passing out the ones in storage is a political impossibility. The Moot's Elector is a full peer with a vote as strong as any province.
Connor Ramirez
That's not Carnac. He claims that anyone who disagrees with him is a malicious liar and only posts sources that dictate nebulous points that were written specifically to clash with others, then convieniently ignores said others. That poster also didn't fellate Chaos enough.
Robert Cooper
If you yell at them for long enough then they might put her in.
Asher Morgan
She.
I don't see how the people made made the halfling fan codex possible mistook 'Hisme' Stoutheart for a man's name.
Elijah Carter
>not necessary for game that's a bullshit reason, they made whole lolbret faction who are less necessary for the game than lore-friendly Empire counts
Eli Jackson
>suck it dwarves Thats a groodge.
Jose Brooks
Emmanuelle doesn't fight. She has a Marshal for that.
Gabriel Myers
Its entirely necessary for verisimilitude.
Gavin Harris
Here's the preceding page, read the last paragraph. The elder of the Moot is an elector, but not an elector count. Only elector counts have runefangs.
Mason Richardson
On another note, how come Marienburg doesn't get a variant army? Or other armies getting little tiny permutations thereof. I remember the old armybook variants, like Blood Dragons being able to use the Lance formation, Marienburgers getting Pistolier cores, but having non-stubborn Greatswords, or Sylvanians having access to living militia (or in the Storm of Chaos list, Drakenhof Templars as an "upgrade" to Black Knights, since the 6e VC book was pre-Blood Knight).
Then there was the dreaded Snotling Army "because we could..."
Ryan Foster
Again, you lie.
You want me to go to the archives and prove that you lied about....lets make a brief list
1-Malal 2-Gods of Law lore (literally citing fanfiction) 3-Archaon prophecy that appeared in Storm of Chaos
We have the archives. We know have seen your lies, you shameless lickspittle.
>only posts sources that dictate nebulous points that were written specifically to clash with others
Your face is nebulous. The points I make are usually based on solid fact like the fucking Skaven being Children of Chaos. I bet you were one of the assholes who disagreed with that.
Brody Hall
Then explain why Vlad never got a Runefang.
Jose Cox
to be fair it's actually very common for carnac to play the card of the fool and pretend to not be himself
you can look for yourself in the archives for carnac threads and you will find pretty often the following >everyone who posts fluff is carnac or my favourite because people still fall for it >who the fuck is carnac/what the fuck is a carnac that he even posts under spoilers
one outlier for carnac posting are the filenames, because he doesn't crop on the spot , but usually prepares or reuses assets, that he diligently name unequivocally for ease of searching as an autist would.
Brandon Jenkins
They probably will eventually anyway. The empire is currently the only faction with one starting point, and while Toddbringer is the logical next one, Nuln will be the most likely one after that
Tyler Hill
Its a shame the Mordheim computer game isn't that good.
Too much level scaling, the ai warbands you face ALWAYS have identical numbers to your own, including stuff like the same number of heroes, and since they don't need to really worry about injuries or keeping up with warpstone shipments etc things are unnaturally weighted against the player.
A really slapdash way of balancing the fact they couldn't make particularly competent AI.
Jaxson Cooper
No one cares about counts except Karl, Bretonnia is second most important faction in Old World.
Jacob King
You should change your name to Nostradamus. Posting that just as he pulled that exact trick is uncanny. Too bad for him that he's getting no more (you)s
Thomas Nguyen
I care.
Though I care about Kislev getting its Ice Queen and their unique units (even if they are mostly renamed reskins of Empire units) more.
Oliver Nelson
Look at all those accusations and projection.
>>who the fuck is carnac/what the fuck is a carnac
No, the guys who type this are my fans or detractors because for some reason they like to talk about m more than the fluff or the game itself. I wouldn't be surprised if you didn't do it yourself. It's fine with me. It's funny as hell.
Jeremiah Peterson
(you) are not needed. Proving you wrong on a regular basis is enough for me.
Gavin Cook
Because Sylvania has never been a province but a part of Stirland. If Vlad was actually the elector-count of Stirland, he must've preferred his own magic sword or in game terms GW didn't want to give the Undead an Empire magic iten.
Wyatt Sanders
>started building army in freshman year highschool >very poor. Could only get a box of infantry once in a while >fast forward to now. Never kept up on the news, only that skaven were still a thing and threads on Veeky Forums give me hope that there's a playerbase >acrue 4k point army, fully painted and modded, at my 28th year
>not a single person in my area plays 8/9th and below.
Everyone here is a fucking hipster and just dumps money on anythong new that comes out and "user, those old rules are shit. The new games got all the fixed rules.". Mind you these are people neck deep in 40k fandom as well, so it makes sense.
Jack Garcia
Does anyone else think Belegar Ironhammer is one of the coolest heroes?
I mean beyond being a kickass dude himself he starts off a bunch of Ancestor-Ghosts as his heroes. that's pretty spiffy.
Nolan Campbell
He is Warhammer Thorin Oakenshield.
Julian Clark
At this point this whole fucking thread belongs in Veeky Forums DEAD GAME
Anthony Johnson
>Belegar Ironhammer
No, his parts in the novels are lame compared to Headtaker and greenkin parts.
Tyler Cook
>my fans
Kayden Taylor
He's certainly the best Dwarf Lord model going.
Elijah Brooks
He is a good challenge to play as, probably the most challenging lord in the game, But has he got schemes, user?
Christian Turner
AoS belongs in /toy/.
Luke Howard
Negative fanboying is still fanboying. It's like you never watched wrestling and seen how the heels work.
Adrian Powell
/toy/ here, and fuck no! would be more appropriate.
Zachary Murphy
No, she also puts out.
Jeremiah Hill
Yeah, I read about the developers over-relying on "Fake difficulty" and it really turned me off from wanting to try it. That, and the game isn't even true to the tabletop (no "common pool" of Hired Swords), plus the DLC-paywalls and being unfriendly to mods. Shame really :(
I'm definitely thinking of Tabletop Simulator or so, but any other alternative engines would be cool too. Or I could suck it up, take the train to Brooklyn, uber, and all...bleh.
Grayson Sanchez
Do you reckon cousin Okri is a slayer, or just an exceptionally dangerous Dwarf? I know normally families of slayers just assume they're dead and speak of them as such, but rangers are generally thought of as weird by Dwarf standards, so that might be the reason Bardin speaks about him normally. Or is he just made up, which is why Bardin gets so indignant when Kruber asks him if he did
Noah Hernandez
She's basically Catherine the Great. Huge patron of the arts, obsessed with making her domain a center of high culture, religiously indifferent, appoints lovers to positions of power, has numerous lovers and flings, dismissive of commoners, rules despite being a woman in a society where this is not typical...
Landon Perry
If he exists I doubt he's a Slayer, he gifted his helmet to Bardin which isn't something a Slayer would usually wear.
John White
The mordheim difficulty is absolute bullshit. All it does it take your warband and add a few levels, forcing cheesy anti AI tactics to even stand a chance. It also makes ambushes, even ones you start, a death sentence at higher levels
Mason Clark
Dwarfs don't lie outright, so Kruber's question was hugely offensive and impicitly calling him a liar. Kruber didn't mean it like that, of course, but Bardin took it that way.
If Okri is a slayer, it might be the case that he's dead and that's why Bardin talks about him so freely.
Jacob Morales
So GW is connecting the fantasy and 40K setting. The Glottkin were spotted among the new 40K Nurglite releases. How does that make you feel?
Julian Flores
Fair point, though It's possible he gave it to Bardin before or when he became one.
Now I'm getting the image of cousin Okri, Ellis' buddy Keith, Sly Marbo and Chicago Ted teaming up in their own game
Joseph Butler
Dwarf are. Bretonnia are the second most important HUMAN faction, and that doesn't matter, 'cos humans are already sufficiently with Empire and Norscans Bretonnia is nothing more than lolmeme pseudo-historical theme park, like Estalia and Tilea, which somehow got updated to 6th Edition, and so people keep thinking fucking meme is real faction. It's not. It's flat useless piece of cardboard scenery, like Tilea, Estalia, Cathai, and the others.
Joseph Howard
>So GW is connecting the fantasy and 40K setting.
It has always been connected.
>The Glottkin were spotted among the new 40K Nurglite releases.
Where?
Connor Mitchell
Dwarfs control much fewer territory and waaay less numerous.
Asher Sullivan
oh yeah, the cool tabletop model one... which is his only redeeming quality, really. pathetic backstory, pathetic aims, pathetic name (seriously? iron? for a nation that uses gromril?). and he needs completely undwarfy ghost (dwarfs are all about no outward magic, and he gets fucking incarnations of cgi) to even try to make him mediocre. also compared to his tapletop model, his TW model sucks.
Nolan Bailey
They also posted news about "daemons disappearing as if they went to war in other universe".
Camden Clark
also waaay less pathetic, and have actual technology and culture. and this comes from a dwarf-hater.
Benjamin Morales
>chugging booze and digging holes are considered culture
Kayden Nguyen
Don't forget the grudges!
Jayden Green
There is a thread about it
Matthew Collins
Considering that's a bunch of converted Plague Marines and the source of the image as far as I can see is a Nurgle fan site I'd not put much stock in it. Especially given the common practise of converting the Glottkin into a Great Unclean One.
William Adams
>Master Chef What if you give the Master Chef a Soup Cart to ride on as an upgrade to his abilities as a lord, kind of like a Screaming Bell but instead of an evil deadly magical bell its a giant cauldron of delicious soup. The Master Chef can bring it to a boil to waft the mouth-watering aroma to nearby friendlies, causing them to forget their fear or panic and fight harder for a period of time.
Jackson Harris
Karl is literally on her leash you fag since he took shitloads of loans from her.
Dylan Wilson
Game starts when Karl was just crowned. That's why she or Katarina are not in game yet.
Colton Brown
The game is kind of sonky with dates and characters, hope they do show up at some point like when the campaigns are combined.
Charles Baker
I refuse to believe Karl didn't/hasn't hit that.
Adrian Thomas
I'm so fucking glad 4e is going away from this retarded empire centrism.
We'll get books about southern nations and they will finally stop being memes. Tilea has better tech than Empire and is richer while fighting off Skaven invasions for centuries. Meanwhile Estalia is building fantasy version of Spanish Empire.
Empire is the most boring human faction.
Anthony Murphy
Tzarina is definitely appearing once Kislev becomes a major faction in WH3. Emmanuel probably not since she's not a battlefield character.
