it takes a statistical average of 27 space marine snipers (not counting mortal wounds) to kill a single fucking nob. even if you get lucky and kill it with only 15 snipers, that's still 210 points you could have spent on something not shit.

snipers would still be useful if they allowed you to choose the models that die when you shoot a normal unit (special weapons etc.) but since you can't do that they only exist to sneeze at characters.

None of them have fallen to chaos yet but its only been 100 years and they've been surrounded by inquisitors, grey knights and Guilliman himself in the Indomitus Crusade. Now that they're out on their own, they may find their spiritual protection weakened.

I mean, for Stormcast it makes sense because they're so strongly bound to Sigmar that when they die their souls are flung through the realms to rejoin with Sigmar. Its not unreasonable to say that makes them extremely resistant to corruption.

Primaris have 3 new implants that give them steel muscles, bigger size and a last stand adrenaline rush. Not nearly the same thing. It would feel kind of stupid.

Yeah 15 scouts kill a nob over 2 turns, 30 boyz still left on the field charge and kill them all. 15 Wolfguard with stormbolters and chainswords instead just kill all the boys in one turn with 100 s4 attacks.
