Are the rules for Outrage! out yet?

Isn't outrage just a manga?

There's miniatures of pretty much all the major characters now. Knauf is the only one with rules at present, though.

OOOOH! You mean character stats!
Yeah no idea.

You guys do realise 4 of them are dead-dead right?

They're still getting models.

Yeah but surely they won't release minis just as collector trash right?

C'mon man, it's just going to be a .pdf for a specific mission or two you can play out, like the Fat Yuan Yuan. What do you care?

Is it worth to get Tohaa 300pts pack? I wonder if it's a good box to pick up an army.

Thing of preference. I like building my armies ground-up.

Contains most of the "essential" stuff and then some.

Considering the fact that tohaa don't have that many units to begin with, and that the box contains a fair amount of them, I would say its a decent deal.

finally got some respectable work done on this lad

We PanO nao!

Played the missions from Operation Icestorm with some coworkers last week. I'm excited to get into the game, just waiting on my models to come in the mail!

Good shit user, what did you buy?

Some bolts (I know they're shit but I love how they look, which is more important to me) a hexas sniper and 2 orcs. Just 200 points for now.

So you're playing NCA? Because then bolts aren't that bad since they're one of your two options for a core Fireteam

Bolts are a viable option linked in NCA, but in vanilla you really need to proxy them as something else. They're proper shit unlinked.

Yeah it's NCA. I'll be running a 4 man fireteam of bolts.

Looks like you're going NCA then.
Neither Bolts nor ORCs are very good, but they can work if you make them work. Just don't put Bolts Core and ORC Haris in the same list, as they will want to do the same thing, but an ORC HMG is quite respectable on her own. Get the Beyond Icestorm box as well to make her obsolete via Swiss Guard.

>I'll be running a 4 man fireteam of bolts.
There's never a good reason to do that if you can link 5. That +3 BS bonus on top of BS13 base is what makes the link (and will make Kamau godlike btw).

I'm definitely going to expand to a 5 man team, it's just because the box of bolts only comes with 4.

I'm planning on giving one ORC an hmg and the other one will be a hacker.

Make the HMG your Lt. Then you can generate a free order every turn until it dies and barely give a shit because you have 5 veteran Bolts who ignore loss of Lt.

Except that the LT order can't be used to activate a fireteam.

Disregard, I didn't read.

It's a good deal. As far as I know it's the box with more figures for the least ammount of $

Oooohh those wonderful days when CB released a blister of 3 Bolts for 5€ each....

You may be interested in the Beyond Icestorm box more then, considering it comes with a Bolt Paramedic. And if you actually plan to run Bolts, the NCA starter pack is not a bad investment, even if you're unlikely to run everything from it at the same time (but then tournament standard is two lists anyway, so it's good to have options).

Is it ok to run bolts as other units, they don't look very much different then bagh mari or kamui?

Yeah, sure, especially as Kamau don't have too many sculpts and one of them is obsolete now (the Combi + LGL). Just let your opponent know what you're using as what.

Cool man. I got a box of bolts as a present and I do not play their sectorial.

Sure, if you're clear about it, but it's probably worth noting that those other units are also unexciting outside of link teams [just get a damn Nisse instead], and once you do link them up Bolts stop sucking so hard what with the toolkit you can spread across the team.

my sectorial can't run bolts. But and I would have to get a 5th one for the full link. I was thinking about runing them as bagh maris and add Rao to them.

I'm currently trying to decide to either start with tohaa or nomads. Both of the have aesthetics that I like but I'm still not too sure on how either plays.

> I was thinking about runing them as bagh maris and add Rao to them.
I do this. It's easier to get combi rifle Bolts than a single Bagh Mari with combi rifle.

So I'm a new player and I'm a little lost. How do I tell which hacking program my units have? And which profile do I use if there are multiple "Model X w/ combirifle" but different side arms. Do I just choose when list building?

Are you using the Army Builder or the wiki?
Hacking is a bit of a headspin at first because of how the rules are presented, but in general hacking programs depend on type of hacking device. Generic HD has basic programs, so a little supportware, a bit infowar and some utilities. HD+ has those and more. Killer Hacking Device only has programs that target other hackers and one that allows the user to disguise himself; and so on.

>And which profile do I use if there are multiple "Model X w/ combirifle" but different side arms. Do I just choose when list building?
Do you mean like if a guy either has AP or DA CCW or either Heavy or Assault Pistols? Yeah, basically. If it's worth paying extra depends on the unit, e.g. getting that extra Burst on Desperadoes via Assault Pistols can come in handy if you want to hit multiple spread targets, but spending the points for one on a Morlock is pointless, as you want them in CC one-on-one anyway.

captainspud.com/n3hacking/

This helps a lot on hacking. Eventually you'll learn that not all programs are equal within one device and have it down pat which ones to use.

>wild newfag appears
I want some panoceania, I never played infinity.
What do I buy?
I only got into 40k before, are citadel paints alright?

Gw paints are just fine if overcosted.

Operation Icestorm or the PanO starter of your choice. Posting from phone. Sorry for terseness.

>I only got into 40k before, are citadel paints alright?
They alright, although I'm switching out to Vallejo one by one, as they run out.

If you want pure PanO, good news! There's going to be a new set that brings PanO and Nomad armies from Operation: Icestorm up to 300pts, which is the standard game size. It's going to include two great units and a NeoTerra Bolt.

But if you don't have a buddy to split Icestorm with, go with the Starter set, HMG Nisse and Auxila box are common recommendations. If you also get the Indigo Spec-Ops model to act as Fusilier #4 (or get the Fusi box right away), you get a simple 200pts and 10 models list with this, easy to learn how the game plays with.

I have no idea what is in the Tohaa 300pt box. The thing you must ask yourself is does this have 2 or more Rasails and does this have 2 Kaeltars.

>PanO starter
>40 euro
>6 models
>this is 2/3 of the standard army apparently
This is gonna be hell of a new experience, huh.
I saw some posts about hacking, hopefully this game only looks complicated.

Yeah expect for Pano 10-14 models

Hacking is probably the most complicated part, but the game can be pretty daunting at first. But once you get the hang of the basics, it will go smooth, as there aren't that many faction specific rules as in 40. Most armies use the same equipment but in different amounts, e.g. PanO barely has Holoprojectors and has no Smoke while Haqqislam has those in spades, but they have only one TAG and PanO has a choice of 7.

well fuck you too

The Tohaa box contain the following:

4x Makaul
3x Kamael
1x Clipsos
1x Sakiel
1x Ectros
1x Kotail
1x Nikoul
2x Kaeltar (the little shits included)

Daily reminder, that PanO saved Human Sphere.

>implying that's a good thing

Daily reminder PanO can't win anything without fudging the numbers.

Kamau.

Best Heavy Infantry or best heavy infantry?

With ITS rules can I use this model for all the Daofei profiles? Don't wanna use the old sculpt.

Which Daofei is everyone's favorite? I think I'd like the Assualt Hacker most because its a specialist, can surprise hack enemy HI/TAGs, and with Infiltration you start close to your good range bands on the Multirifle.

Ever since playing Onyx I've been a fan of surprise spitfires. Daofei certainly does that well while cutting a few points from the HMG loadout to squeeze in some other unit.

Though I don't play Yu Jing, but I bought Red Veil (and soon its booster) for the Haqqislam stuff, so I'll have it around to tiddle with as consequence.

Most people will be fine with proxying it as other profiles, as long as you let them know and remind them during the game

Daofei have always been premier troops. Camo on an HI with it's quality is amazing, adding in Infiltration and the weapon choice only increases it. Now that he has a Spitfire option, he can return to N2 levels of glory as being better than a Hac Tao in practical terms.

Spitfire's the most practical way to do things. He's a murdermachine that can surgically destroy parts of the enemy and allow cheaper specialists to accomplish objectives. The main choice each turn is to either put him in SupFire, (if facing weaker troops) or to recamo (if facing a real peer threat).

That's not the Hac Tao, Su Jian, Karakuri, nor Achilles. Hac Tao quite debatable to being better overall as the TO is always an improvement, along with the KHD options, the extra armor, BTS, BS, and Nanopulser. One long movement gets you right about where infiltration would and then you have a Daofei+++. I do love the Daofei though.

It's not technically a close combat pose, the gun's very visible so it is indeed supposed to just be the HMG. I would say it's kosher for the profile which doesn't exist yet, that being the Spitfire and boarding shotgun. Both are easy to convert.

The old MULTI still has to sub for the AHD profiles. Non-semantically, most players would let you play it for whatever profile you want. As for why they didn't release it as a Spitfire to begin with is beyond me. It better compliments the existing troops with HMG and its mid-field infiltration range. [small hopes it gets released later on] Either way that spitfire is easy to convert given its posture and the spec-ops kit. I'd do it if I didn't already put the spitfire on one of my Aragotos.

Favorite Daofei I use is the Multi-rifle AHD. It's because I used the OOP Invincible for it. I'd probably give the Spitfire a shot. Seems like a hilarious aggressive Lt that Yu Jing can support with the Pheasant Rank and EO Hac Tao.

Painted up some Naffatun. One's at a different standard from the others. And the token black guy I was trying to do ended up having too dark a skin tone. But hey, new line troops with a lot of tactical flexibility.

He's Nigerian.

>implying Mimetism BS13 1 SWC HMG is bad

>>implying Mimetism BS13 1 SWC HMG is bad

I'll probably continue to relay on Nisse and Fusilier HMG. Kamau are going to be FOs. Though about using one as lieutenant but just for a point or two I can take Rao.

Once Varuna is released two Snipers in full link team. I do wish Kamau would be more exciting, an X-visor somewhere, perhaps forward deployment instead of mimetism or even inferior infiltration. At least they're not Bolt level bad, Bostria trying to hype the Bolts through their BoW videos was rather sad.

Supposedly we're getting a girl ORC as special character.

Starting me some Scots. I am beyond bored with Vanilla CA.

Nice work

My fellow Ariadnans,
I just want to point out a few things, here, at what seems to be the axis of the blockade.
I’m deeply honored to have served along some of the most amazing, honored and bloodied blokes and gals in the entire Human Sphere.
We’ve given everything we could and went beyond. We’ve reached Humanity’s enemies where they stood, thousands and thousands miles from our very own home. We were chosen to protect Humanity against the Alien menace and from Humanity itself, despite our lack of technology, despite every single odd we had against us, despite the fact none of us could or would ever return home since we do not posses CUBEs. We already reached the stars and we are thousand of miles beyond it, brothers and sisters.
No one, and I mean it, no one ever thought we Ariadnans would achieve so much more than being puppets that they can simply use and abuse in exchange for the resources of our great home, Dawn.
We are better trained, we are more honored, we are far more battle hardened. This is Dawn’s legacy, my fellow brothers and sisters, yet again, we’ve reached the stars and went beyond it and I’m damn proud of all of you!
End of line.

>it's an AFY post

Wow what is your technique for doing whose eyes?

So I pretty much have all the options for the USAR, and was thinking about expanding into Vanilla to get some of that kazak goodiness or SAA since the new starter looks great, any recommendations for which one to go with?

Never forget.
Don't fall for their lies!

Post Wotan Phase 3 PDF. Also post any of the Flamestrike ones if you have them.

...

Thanks!

I paint the eye socket black then carefully paint a white line on the black leaving a small border of black. For the pupil I use a .20 Micron pen.

Colors do seem PanO but that Zhayedan wears them better than any PanO trooper ever will.

The Path of Knowledge has granted him superior mastery of their colors.

Huh, is that an alternate Al Fasid sculpt?

Is this standard uniform?

Thongs and g-strings are mandatory per PanO official dress code. So yes.

>New sword Fiday
>New fem Ragik with a braid
>New Tarik with a god damn spitfire

CB stop, my penis can only get so erect

Are the expansion boxes as good for all the other factions? The new sniper intruder looks sick, but I don't really know enough about how the factions play to judge.

Loving the zweihander on the Swiss Guard, as well.

The Pano side of icestorm is garbage but the nomad side is pretty gud considering how awesome the taskmaster morat is. Hellcat is average. Sniper intruder is kinda nice but insanely gay that they locked it behind the box. Cho will have fun with that one.

That Fiday and Tarik are godlike.

I have a love for beastmode Tarik, but that classic action pose is sexy.

Fucking Spaniards

With my Delve into CHA I have been doing a lot of list building while I get models painted. My aim right now is to get the feel for general ITS coverage. I did some tinkering and put this together yesterday.

Yeah, I bought that box mostly for "Big Dick" Tarik Mansuri, the Ragik, and Zhanying. "Big Dick" Tarik is going to be getting a lot of action because he's the Spitfire version which helps compliment his status as an aggressive Super Jumping Lt more. Having actual Armor, Two Wounds, Martial Arts, better movement, and +1 PH plays into what makes the Khawarij good, but does it oh so much better. Should they have avoided a Named Character in a starter set, though? I say so.

For the Yu Jing half it's kind of weird as the HMG Daofei and Multi-Sniper Guilang already exist as old sculpts and would have been much preferable to just have the sculpts for the combi-rifle and Spitfire of the same models. I'm definitely converting the Guilang when it comes out, sadly. Oddly enough the Yu Jing one is the only one that gets it closest to the full three hundred by actually being 300 points.

The Pan Oceania one is kind of the runt of the litter, Swiss Guard's good and fine (although i'd agree with others that if the CCW were visible it should have been a halberd), but the Kamau HMG is not quite the best thing for them as it is still a delicate piece at one wound ARM 1, and Bolts are kind of bloated in price because of the Bioimmunity, Combi+LSG, and Vet Skills.

Nomad one has people excited because it includes a big new unit with an exotic rule, kind of like how Haqqislamite players were excited for the new Al Fasid in Red Veil. Hellcat Spitfire is kind of "meh." Not the worst, not the best. Intruder Multi-Sniper is a classic Nomad unit (although it seems that people like the HMG more nowadays), Really optimized despite the not quite needed X-visor that combination of Camouflage, ARM, and MSV-2 really takes the cake. It's what a Corregidor heavy Vanilla Nomads army would have likely bought anyways. I know several who already did.

>not quite needed X-visor
Friendly reminder that X-Visor mitigates the shitty MSR close range bands too.

I so hope that later they will split the box in to blisters or a faction boxs, just like they did with red veil. I have no one to split the box with, and it took me months to sell the haqqislam part of red veil and I doubt the w40k guys are going to buy any of those for their IG.

Pano suffers cause bolts are only good in highly niche cases. Swiss is swiss. Kamau is a faster nisse/bagh, strong but boring. The only thing that is an obvious must get would be the swiss, good thing its pimp as fuck looking too. Bolts are good proxies for things too i guess.

So onto nomads. Intruders are a staple of nomad armies, hmg is preferred due to weight of dice but the msr does have advantages, plus the new lady sculpt is great. Hellcats are inexpensive drop troops and i usually take bsg or spitfire anyway, hmg is also a good one too. New shininess kriza borac is the most straight up shooty unit nomads now have access to. Good expansion.

I mean, I've never had to shoot beyond 48" ranges by simple semantics that it's almost impossible to shoot from one corner to the other without being severely blocked by LoS, and I'd rather shoot the pistol if at the 0-8" range if I'm so threatened so that's why I say it's not quite needed, but it's still a rather well optimized profile nonetheless.

The salt is real!

Eww, the site has a new layout.

Huh. I expected them to fuck up the site even worse, but this is largely an improvement. News posts can actually be sorted and navigated, the faction descriptions have links to their respective store and catalogue pages, everything important is fairly easy to find, and perhaps most importantly you can actually open shit in a new tab. It has one of those obnoxious shitty fixed navbars that seem so popular nowadays, but other than that it's a significant step up from the last shitshow.

What do people think of the grunt spec op?

I think it is inline to be my best looking SAS.

A reminder the Blackjack will be revealed at gencon.

The Gencon one is oddly Kazak looking

So ... is this still a metal model?Gluing that head seems incredibly awkward.

This one or the generic one?

Yes its metal, it was shown on the BoW vid with the new spec ops. The only parts you need to glue on iirc is the right arm and the scabbards.

The generic hasn't been shown yet. There is the old one, though.

I am going to throat punch the person who plays this abomination against me.
