Maybe the next general will be Iconics Edition. Also an aquatic campaign, much less an underwater one, is so far down the list of things I'm going to ever get around to that I'll probably be dead before I do it.

I thought I'd seen those tentacles before.

You could always try to fight for the glory of Taldor. I mean War for the Crown is supposed to make Taldor better. Maybe.

/pfg/, what's your opinion on the Emerald Spire?

same senpai

It's not Rappan Athuk but it's nice for those people that like to keep their characters alive for a dungeon crawl.

Big, multi-level mega-dungeon module? I hear it's pretty bland, but I have resolves to include a mega-dungeon of my own in a campaign someday. I was working on one for the previous campaign I ran, but the campaign ended abruptly due to player drama.

again with this BS? why so butthurt

Rappan Athuk is more flavorful if you ask me.

Conversely, Sorshen is pretty smokin'.

War for the Crown is coming out next year, though! That's a very long time to wait to bring glory to the Empire!

Also, it's kind of ambiguous as to what the heck is going on with that campaign. From the sounds of things, Prince Stavian's finally kicked the bucket and Princess Eutropia has hired on the party as her own personal agents to go forth and consolidate her power as Taldor begins to disintegrate before your eyes. From there? Who knows, but it sounds like the results of this AP are going to be monumental for the Inner Sea.

More importantly, it's worth noting that none of the SERIOUS changes happen in an AP, it's always fixing the immediate problem that happens. For example, in Wrath of the Righteous you kill an Avatar of Deskari at the end of Book 6 and close the Worldwound, but the Post-Campaign material details killing Deskari in the Abyss (a bigger deal) and restoring the Kingdom of Sarkoris. Likewise, Kingmaker ends with stopping some random Nymph queen, but Post-Campaign Kingmaker involves Choral the Conqueror and the Brevic civil war turning hot. I'm going to go out on a limb and state (quite confidently) that the Post-Campaign for War for the Crown is the stuff that details Taldor Ascendant or Taldor becoming a progressive society tolerant of all.

Also, Princess Eutropia is not only going to be the Empress of Taldor, but she's also single. Be prepared for a waifu. In fact, be prepared for the most high-powered waifus in any Pathfinder AP, as the party will likely have unrestricted access to all circles of Taldan society and their status as the right-hand men and women of an Empress means the eyes of the Inner Sea will be drawn to them.

Anyone got a PDF of the adventurer's guide?

What's with the rocks in her shoulders?

I still find it amusing how James Jacobs has been on record saying that image is absurdly conservative compared to what Sorshen "actually" looked like. From what he's said of her, Sorshen had massive tits and an hourglass figure that could only be made by alteration magic.

...

I'm not sure. Maybe they're embedded ioun stones? She's never been statted. It might be High Fashion from the times of Thassilon.

>Brevic civil war turning hot

God this is like the only thing I wanted out of Kingmaker and they didn't do it, WHY?

The fun part is that her Lust magic corresponds to Enchantment, meaning that the way she "actually" looks when people see her might just be a projection she is putting into their mind, and she's actually a pudgy NEET who constantly exudes an aura that only makes people perceive her as pretty.

The biggest problem my friends and I found with Emerald Spire is that the first two floors are absolutely insane, they keep you on your toes and you've worried the entire time that something might kill you and your friends. Past that, however, the floors are either one of two things but always a third, and those are (in order):
> Blindingly easy if your characters have built themselves to handle the BS in the Spire, which they should have after seeing what's in store for them.
> Infuriatingly hard, and not the fun kind of hard but the "I and the rest of my party are completely useless here, why are we even here again?" kind of difficult.
> Completely uninteresting to play in, as each and every floor was created and designed by a different person (half of the people who designed floors had also never done so before contributing to the book BTW so their level design is remarkably amateurish) so there's no sense of cohesion tying what little plot there is together.

...

>and they didn't do it

But they did, user. I agree with you that they should've made the Brevic civil war the focus of the AP rather than some Fae fuckery, but it's still featured prominently in the Post-Campaign.

And that's what I'm trying to say in that post. All the cool shit happens in the Post-Campaign, in that magical period after you fix the problems and are now an end-game badass with the power and resources to make serious geopolitical changes to Golarion. Frankly, this is why they never feature this sort of bullshit in the campaign itself, because once you start pushing around the set-pieces than the established railroad breaks down nine times out of ten.

>she's actually a pudgy NEET who constantly exudes an aura that only makes people perceive her as pretty.
I want to dispel it and then hold her and tell her she's beautiful.

I'm very excited! I'm wondering what the Cecaelia will lose to make it playable. At present, it would likely be pushing RP and get locked in the "never ever" dumpster.

>and tell her she's beautiful.

... Why? She's Dorian Gray; gorgeous on the outside, but utterly rotten on the inside.

I want more octololis

I hope Blingmaker does better than having Nyrissa as the limp BBEG she is. I'm not even one of the players, I just think that AP's ending is really... unsatisfying. I wouldn't wish it on anybody.

I always wondered about them too, but figured it was the fashion of the times.

Maybe the magic even applies to pictures of her on the internet, and the rocks in her shoulders are the only consistency we all share in our perception of the image. Maybe the pictures I'm seeing look different in my eyes than in your eyes.

Do you not believe in the healing power of compassion and love?

For someone like her? No.

What I want to know is why the Lashuntan people are still matriarchal when they're explicitly doing away with gender roles and even the environmental pressures that cause them.

Is this ignorance on their part, or understanding that they're the blue alien space babes?

What good is the post-campaign stuff? I don't think anybody ever uses it. I've never heard of anybody use the post-campaign stuff before, not for any AP.

A DM that used an AP no longer has the books doing the brunt of the work for them if they continue into post-campaign stuff, and they've also already reached closure for the AP they've probably spent a couple years or more running. DMs don't have a good reason to keep going, unless everybody in the group just isn't willing to make new characters for a new campaign but still wants to keep playing.

Anyway tho
>to make serious geopolitical changes to Golarion
Does Brevoy even really matter, when it comes to the nations of Avistan? Do they have anything going for them? Important exports, valuable resources, the sort of thing that would make a war against Brevoy matter to any nation not participating in the war?

What kind of relic should I add to my setting that's the ultimate screw undead item? I'm tired of "silver sword of stabbing vampires"

A SCYTHE of some kind of moon goddess that is designed to reach in and CUT the bindings that keep souls animating undead, or negative energy, or whatever it is you use in your setting. It doesn't do ANYTHING to living creatures, but against undead it will wreck shit.

Give them a Silmaril, aka a flawless gemstone infused with light so pure it sears the flesh of anyone with a trace of evil within their soul.

An actual lightsaber. A holy dagger with a large grip, but by spending a spell slot or something to activate the effect, it projects a beam of radiant energy from it's grip that makes it perfect for killing... Well, undead stuff? The dagger can be silver to start with.

Shears of Fate.
big ass crookedy pair of scissors that breaks necro spells on contact, dispels ghosties, etc

Planeseeds.
Planeseeds are strange seeds that seem to faintly glow with positive energy. Where they originate from is unknown, whether it's the result of an accidental exposure to planar travel, an experiment that wasn't contained, or something that formed naturally and was brought to the prime material. When placed within the body of an undead creature, the planeseeds grow, devouring the dead flesh from within while filling it with positive energy. The end result is that the undead creature becomes completely destroyed and replaced with a statue made of still-living roots that faintly radiate positive energy, repelling undead creatures. Creatures destroyed in this manner can be resurrected as a living creature by using the statue as an additional material component, regardless of the time since the creature's death.

In some places where wild planeseeds can be found, it's said that there exist voracious and untamed strains that seek out undead to devour of their own volition, sometimes animating the resulting statues to travel further in search of prey. Planeseeds linked to the other planes (or the negative energy plane) have been theorized to exist, but never observed before.

It's agenda pushing the classic SJW mindset of Gender Roles being bad, unless they place women as being better and in charge of men in every way

What are some affordable items to boost my Sense Motive bonus?

Isn't there a specific kind of magic weapon that does that? Kills the shit out of undead, but passes through nonliving objects and does fuckall to constructs?

You won't ever find out that one user. Matriarchy is clearly best. Trust me user. Trobriand Islands is the races future.

Brilliant Energy, but that also doesn't harm undead.

A little frightening, I must admit.

What, really? Huh. Don't know why I thought it was an anti-undead weapon.

Give a budget or we won't know what affordable means. A +5 item is 2.5k. A masterwork item is... something, I can't recall. 300?

If you were to restat Sorshen other than as a 20+ Enchanter Wizard how would you do it?

You could do something like a reverse Void Scythe.

d20pfsrd.com/magic-items/magic-weapons/specific-magic-weapons/void-scythe/

Right, let's say around the neighborhood of 3-4k.

Level 20 Kitsune Sorcerer//Mesmerist gestalt

Whatever it is, it involves Enchanting Courtesan.

Speaking of, are there any great mega dungeons for pathfinder(or easily converted) besides rappan athuk?

Then those 2 will net you +7 total to SM

There's one.

app.roll20.net/lfg/listing/81935/essentia-our-last-days (Ends in 2 days)
app.roll20.net/lfg/listing/82673/iron-gods (Ends in 1 week) (basically definite bamboozle)
app.roll20.net/lfg/listing/83254/carnal-crown (Ends in 1 week) (high chance of bamboozle)
app.roll20.net/lfg/listing/83277/the-fiends-and-intrigues-of-house-karvane (Ends in 2 or 3 weeks)

Why are they bamboozles?

GMs haven't made contact in a while. Obviously they have lives, but they shouldn't disconnect for so long either

alt account GMs who haven't responded to anything in over a week

it's also very likely they're both run by the same person

It's when someone opens up a game to get people to submit characters, but then drops the game (often because they had no intention of actually running it) and runs off with all the characters everyone made.

>it's also very likely they're both run by the same person

I guess I hadn't even considered that, but you're probably dead on

I assume the DMs just didn't get any apps they liked, even though the Iron Gods one was shilling here

What makes you think they're the same person?

Both sock puppet accounts, both running lewd Paizo AP games

not exactly damning evidence but it's not without merit

Iron Gods was lewd?

When building an Occultist, how many Schools should one specialize in? What's the most Schools one should take?

Also, why is the Iconic Occultist so cool, and why should you totally have him in your party?

As lewd as most /pfg/ games are at least.

Whoops, didn't mean to linkSorry

The Iron Gods GM wasn't quite "shilling." He was trying to encourage lewd apps, which was probably just part of a big joke being played on us.

>both alt/sockpuppet accounts
>both 0 hours
>both similar names
>both identical chargen formats
>both identical apps with only a few words switched around and question lewds rephrased
>both running paizo aps with lewd themes
>both stopped replying around the same time

You HOPE it's a her behind the mind-scrambles...

>Why didn't you ever call me back, Charlie?
>YOU HAD A PENIS!

A fantasy setting that is, eh?

What would be the most attractive bamboozle I could pull on /pgg/? I want to get as many apps as possible before I bamboozle.

You're a fucking rapist to even question this perfect logic! I'm being raped just reading words by you! I can feel you inside me, you disgusting filthy murderous pig! STOP QUESTIONING ME!

-sincerely; C.Fraiser

Something with a lot of effort, and proof that you plan on running it.

Fluffy Tails 2 already did it.

Shame on any who trusted a GM who had no qualms stealing the setting another GM intended to run.

I plan on making an attractive game myself at some point for /pfg/. One running an AP where we use good houserules and lewd is allowed and it's Text-only with emphasis on heavy roleplay and character development and world interaction.

The catch? It's a real game and not a boozle.

You can redeem the original Runelord of fucking WRATH by just being a good friend to him basically, and giving him something constructive to attack. I'm sure we can get her back on track.

Fluffy Tale 10: Revenge of the Fluffy City.

Who's gonna run it?

p-pls user
don't tease me this way

>How many schools should you specialize in?
Probably two, three at most; any more and you're just sort of like a generalist 6th-level sorcerer, whereas otherwise you can get really cool Focus Powers (which are basically spells on steroids).
>What's the most schools one should take?
As many as you can; while you should focus on a handful for your powers, having a wide range of spells is better. You can probably deal with just 6 schools on a standard occultist though, dropping Necromancy and Enchantment unless you really like some of their spells or powers.
>Why is the Iconic Occultist so cool?
Because he's a fat jolly tomb-raider that apparently enjoys blinging-out his Necromancy implement (the skull).

and it's gonna be active~

and the GM's gonna get involved to tell a riveting story in both lewd and nonlewd ways~

something wrong, user~?

jontronSTOP.mp4

This is unfortunately we we don't get muscle girl gnoll women. Instead they're patriarchal. Why the fuck are the HYENA PEOPLE patriarchal? Oh right cause they're a "bad guy" race.

Long as we're doing this.

What do you think of time loops?

High risk of plot holes and getting knocked down.

Well yeah, haven't you ever seen Asura's Wrath? Angry dudes can be brought to the side of good quite easily so long as you have the right punching bag for them to hit.

Yeah, I never run them as such. Even when a male's in charge, he's going to have to answer to the shamaness or his own mother or eldest sister.

No, none of them have pseudopenises.

I never thought of it that way. Some powerful Shamaness who mostly keeps to herself but the packs come to her for advice would work pretty well

This is that the Runelord of Wrath wasn't the angry sort of destruction. He was the fermenting holding a grudge and plotting how to make your enemies suffer sort of wrath. More Heathcliff less Asura.
>no pseudo penis
What's even the point.

I actually just have flinds be female gnolls and normal gnolls be the males. Pseudo penises are discussed as player discretion.

Also, first-borns. Being a survivor of your mother's first litter is a HUGE deal due to the attrition rates of a gnoll pack, so you're automatically on track to be a cleric or antipaladin, because Lamashtu must have wanted something special from you.

Thanks. I plan on having around 4, plus a Panoply in top. I plan on starting with Abjuration and Transportation at 1st level, then take that Warrior Panoply at 2nd, then take Divination as a Haunted (Champion) Panoply (got the Gheist archetype), then Evocation as normal. After that, my last 2 will probably be used to double up on probably Transmutation(haunted Archmage) and Divination(normal)

Man, Garland is looking really good gameplay wise for the new Dissidia

Alright people, Stat him.

Okay you fuckers, it happened again.
Inspiration took its noodly appendage and tickled my soles.
It's the return of Spiriting; this time with House Karvane instead of the flower court.

Are you ready for some PTSD shit, anons?

I do not how I would handle players asking me about that.

An Antipaladin of Lamashtu Gnoll must be something scary to encounter

I don't know what the fuck you're talking about.

n o

let me app first

Where do you think the Alexanders scale came from, kiddo
Ah but see, this time I hold the cards, because I am the GM. I can write about anyone I want, and you won't stop me!

Please no.

Even more reason to let me app before you start!

Speaking of House Karvane, is my Crossbitch any better now @InspirationGM?
