Tyranid Creation Thread

1d4chan.org/wiki/Tyranid_Hive_Fleet_Creation_Tables

you know the Drill, Roll for the Fleets progenitor.

Before we start, is there a way we can make this more interesting? The tables are a bit lacking.
A way to roll twice on certain tables depending on swarm size and progenitor could spice it up a bit.

Special Rule, Hive Fleet Siafu actually uses tactics like Humans/Normal fucking species instead of sending swarm after swarm to breal the opposition

so with that, lets roll the Progenitor

Actually I like this, let's stick with this general concept instead of rolling for it on the tables.

can we roll for the outline atleast?

Rolled 4, 4 = 8 (2d6)

Alright let's get this thing rolling

Rolled 38 (1d100)

Rolled 8 (1d10)

>Progenitor is HiveFleet Kraken
some one fluff this i actually have no knowlag of Hive Fleet Kraken

Rolling classification

Rolled 5 (1d10)

Hive fleet splinter. Rolling for size

Medium, nothing on the size of The Big 6, But its still enough to fuck with systems.

rolling Fleet Goals.

Rolled 15 (1d100)

Rolled 7 (1d100)

>Head for the light
gope the High Lords are waiting for a surprise party

Strategic Tendencie

Rolled 10 (1d10)

Oh thank god thats a thing we can still work with

Rolling Common Biomorphs

>Other/Create one

OH BOY!

Rolled 62 (1d100)

lets work on this later. Rolling for Specialist Creature

>Unkillable Beast
O̴̴̳͍̠̫̠̪̰͚͍ͪ̉̀ͨ̇̈͝Ȟ̢̯̻͚̗̫̩͓͗̉̽̆ͨ̏̍̍ͫ͋̈͜ ̴̷̤̹̜̦͎̹̪̙ͬ̒͌ͫͨ̈͒̔̉̓̀̕͡ͅB̷̛͖͔̠͈̪̺̝̟̻̱͇̿̑̈͆̑́̈̽Ǒ̟͙̣̫̮͈͐͐ͮ͋̍̋ͯ͗̍̏͊̂̑̕͟Y̶̘̤̜̱̦̬̤͍̺̞̰̆ͧ͊ͩͫ̽̈ͧ͋̑ͭ͛̔ͣ̇̾̀̀̕ͅ

Rolled 94 (1d100)

Unkillable beast, nice

Rolled 97 (1d100)

Rolling for Enemy/main targets/meals

>Necrons

oh. thats kinda disappointing actually

So we have a medium hive splinter coming from naga that uses synaptic web and sensible strategies and tactics like abnormal army. They are heading towards the light but mainly go after Necrons. We still have to come up with a biomorph

Rolled 64 (1d100)

Rolling again, but we'll have this enemy be in addition to the crons.

>tau
This actually makes the most sense for this fleet to develope the way it did. Now that we know they prey on Tau, what kind of unique biomorph would help them? Maybe lots of EMP weapons?

So in Recap

>Hive Fleet Siafu is a HiveFleet that uses tactics unlike there instinctual brethren that stemmed from Hive Fleet Kraken after its fall
>While not the biggest, it still has a fair amount of Brood to throw at plannets and hold entire systems down under its suppression
>Its also making a B line straight for terra
>we still need to work on Biomorphs
>And it has a fuck scary unkillable tyranid leading the helm of every fight
>And they Fight Blue Berries cause fuck Crons

fuck I Dont know. when i was thinking about them being organized I was thinking of something that embedded them into the Ground to hold lines.

but EMP's work too,

Rolled 8 (1d10)

Gonna roll on that table again and if it's something better than what we came up with we can stick to it

>Orks

That works. theres enough of them between Ultramar and Terra.

Using this map as a Example we could easily say/fluff that they stopped by the Octarious War to bluster there Numbers as a stop before packing up and heading straight to Terra.

Oh, actually that roll was for biomorphs. Symbiotic swarms is rather sensible, if the tyranids are using more conventional tactics then each individual weapon Beast should have a heavier investment in them.

Oh, My bad then

If we take this map, the Tau and Necrons are in the way of hive fleet siafu on its journey towards terra and its currently passion through those empires.

Doh, forgot map. But Necrons and Tau being its primary enemies gives the hive fleet a good reason to use conventional tactics. As a medium sized fleet, it can't really drown the worlds it conquers at the rate larger fleets like Leviathan can, especially against heavy fire power foes like Tau and Necrons who are hard counters to usual tyranid tactics.

so in order

>After running away from Maragge Hive Fleet Siafu made a cut in Tau Space trying to rebolster there Numbers. and after a Few engagements they developed a new tactic of "not engaging"

>After a few Years/A Decade they make a B Line straight through Necron Space had a few engadgements with them.

>After that they make a Pitstop by the Octarious War to help out there Buddies and grab some road snakes, and by road snakes i mean eat thousands of orks.

>however at this time they started doing something completley unseen by Tyranids up to this point. They Start using common tactics the Imperium/Tau use against Ork Invaders

good y/n

Rolled 14 (1d100)

All good except how they managed to cross all the way from Ultramar to Octarius. I say we just focus on them mauling the Tau and Necrons on their eventual way to the astronomicon. We can also give them a second motivation since their current goal is so far off

Rolled 65 (1d100)

Rolling again for something different

fuck it lets figure this out later. and lets develop the Unkillable Beast.

should the thing be a Synapse Creature or something?

also in the meantime lets just deal with what we established until the thread builds up more traction

Zoanthrope + Swarmlord
There you go.

The doom of malantai version of the Maleceptor, with a powerful warp field and the ability to regenerate rapidly by consuming life force

Actually this strays too far into one of the other options. Maybe something like hive tyrant+ old one eye works better, or maybe some biotitan version of old one eye

ok, so thinking about it The UB Probally should be a Tyrant Guard. those things came Astartes, Right?

>hive tyran
Ok no Fuck it, where going with a Hive Tyrant who absorbed a Astarte or something. thats why its smart and is using tactics.

>Pic Related is what it looks like

sorry for possible Antpic

>that art style
The general idea is fine but those retronids are hard to look at

how does it feel to have shit taste

Continuing this

>(INSERT NAME HERE) uses its genetic memory it took/kept from its Astartes base for the Hives advantage when dealing with War, or what ever the Tyranids equivalent is
>It also remembers tactics the Imperium would use against Tyranids and put effort in subverting common tactics the Tyranids use to throw them in a loop

....we'll agree to disagree, taste is subjective after all. So our unkillable Beast is a very tactical minded, heavily armored and regenerating hive tyrant that uses a variety of biomorph space to fight at all ranges

I'd say as a special attribute, it is surrounded by specialized tyrant guards who are bulkier, more heavily armored and can regenerate

Wait, isn't Shindelgheist supposed to be near the eye of terror in the Gothic Sector ?

I wouldn't mind a limited line of some high quality style retronids from FW or some shit

I guess that was retconned
