>Another point about Fabius Bile is that due to his attitude towards the Chaos Gods and his focus on science, he is the only known Chaos Space Marine that has kept faithful to the tenets of the Imperial Truth, even though he no longer faithful to the Imperium or the Emperor.
>He believes that what men call "Chaos Gods" are truly just mindless cosmic forces that are ascribed personalities by those driven insane by the Warp, and that Daemons are entities that, although seeming to be intelligent, ultimately lack self-awareness.
How can one man be so fucking based?

Okay Mathhammer anons, in a take all comers list what Whirlwind variant is best?
Heavy 2d6 S6 Ap0 D1
or
Heavy 2d3 S7 Ap1 D2
The first one feels like it'd be better just by forcing more saves, but I've never been good at mathhammer.
Christian Robinson
it fucks with the vendettas even worse then the flying taxis we are talking about a 230 point model hitting on 5s with 6 lascannons if it wants to stay alive what a joke
Nolan Powell
>How can one man be so fucking based?
He's also fucking wrong, and blinded by egotism. He literally cannot believe in anything, be it a cause, brotherhood, or entity, greater than himself, and refuses to acknowledge that there might be greater forces in the universe than Fabius Bile.
It's fanatical egotism that drives his "atheism," in a universe where atheism is empirically false.
Logan Phillips
How should i kit this dude out? i play Iron Hands if that's any help.
Caleb Lopez
give him a servo-harness and have him jerk off behind your tanks

And that's why we don't get scans quickly. Just be glad somebody took the time to scan the relics, warlord traits, psyker powers, strats and tactical objectives AND point costs.
If you want the book, fuck off to and beg there.
Repost because you fucks won't learn.

This guy plows forward and charges you turn one from 24 inches away! How do you handle it?
Logan Young
>Dude, he believes in mankind. He believes that only he can save mankind, and that the only way to save mankind is for him to essentially replace it.
Fabius has a literal God Complex, except unlike the Emperor he's not actually a god.
Adrian Lee
But user, the ego is the driving force of adaptation and progress. Without the ego, a man is nothing but a narcissist, his false self living as a shell.
Owen White
it reminded me of the Doritos dread so here i am
Oliver Watson
The other thread was created first, so by that dint, this thread should be deleted.
>Don’t worry though, you can still use all of these in your games if you have these older models. In these instances, use the datasheet from the index, and the most recent points published for that model and its weapons (currently, also in the index).
Hudson Garcia
Ooh, what's this meme?
Jose Wright
So... why take them out?
Jason Anderson
If they wanted you to be able to use rifledreads then why weren't they added to the codex?
I'm telling you now, once all the index books are in their own codex they're going to revoke that.
John Bailey
Jesus Christ two threads. The other was posted first yet this one has more people in it.
Anyway, 30th for CUTEDAR!

considering its toughness 6 with armor 4 I'd hit it with auto cannons tile it dies

Why do casino dice roll better than the smaller dice?
Easton Kelly
yup. I don't know why people are freaking out about that.
This is standard GW practice.

You really need some IH robo arms. Which I assume you have.
Give him a power axe and combi-plas or plasma pistol. Will let you grab that sweet Axe of Medusa. Plas is comfy this edition
Josiah Johnson
What do you mean? Casino dice are more random if you roll them properly, but hardly anyone does that.
Chase Cox

Correct. He unsheathes the power fist. He is alpha legion, and prepared afterall.
Ian Gomez
Tricked by the alpha legion once again
Nathan Hughes
With regular marines getting promotions, Lt. Punch is finally a valid model! I can finally promote my regular sergeants beyond their regular rank into veteran status based on their performance. This pleases me.
Logan Roberts
Why would GW revoke the Indecies, books that customers already paid for? Or books already printed the need to be sold?
Wouldn't it make them more money to have both were necessary to run your army to the fullest?
Austin Evans
I made this while drunk a few nights back. Y'all ain't ready for these real niggas.
If I drink more I may actually buy the Primaris kits and start a SM army to rival my CSM.
Chapter Tactics: >Run Up!: When firing Pistol, Rapid Fire, or Assault weapons, Infantry models that are embarked and firing from a Transport always count as having not moved for the purposes of shooting, even if the Transport itself as moved.
Stratagem: >Leanin' (2CP): Select one unit of Infantry on the battlefield. That unit increases both their Armor Save (max. 2+) and Invulnerable Save (max. 3+) by +1. However, they may not Advance, do not benefit from the Relentless special rule, and decrease their Weapon Skill by -1. These effects apply for the duration of the game.
They're stupid, but I keep falling more and more in love with running a Chapter of H-Town Playas, y'all
Easton Flores

>All the Xenos players at my store took points away from Chaos Feels good.
Austin Hill

Brandon Moore
nice
Jordan Adams
60 Multi Meltas or 40 Tactical Marines? Who wins?
Luis Hughes
The tactical marines because even without weapons they have base 1 attack.
Multi-melta's can't shoot without models wielding them.
Andrew Nelson
Chessex, because of all the dice sales needed for this to happen on the tabletop.
Levi Howard
>Multi-melta's can't shoot without models wielding them. Weak.
Luis Bell
The Space Marines now dual wield multi meltas.
Chase Edwards
Every person who I played with that uses casino dice or dice with sharper edges roll normally 4 or 5's
Cameron Evans
so I have a question- with the release of the new space marine codex, many point values have changed for units and some weapons. Does that mean for the remaining marine players, we have to use the updated point values even though we don't have the updated points publicly available to us?
specifically I'm talking about 12pt power fists. I wouldn't mind having me some of those, but there hasn't been any public PDF or article saying to update these values within our indexs, so what gives?
Cooper Stewart
casino dice don't have holes drilled in them
meaning the side with 1 hole drilled in it is heavier than the side with 6 holes, meaning the die is slightly more likely to come to rest with 1 facing down and 6 facing up. essentially every die that's drilled is slightly weighted.
casino dice have the numbers painted on rather than drilled so they aren't weighted like that.
the difference is small but it is there. only turbo autistics care about it though
Dylan Reyes
>Multi-melta's can't shoot without models wielding them. >implying cawl isnt all over that shit
Samuel Lewis
>aggressors >interceptors >hellblasters Why are primaris the new masters of mid/short range shooting? Wasn't that supposed to be the GK's niche?
Aiden Thomas
"Hey Benny! Screw YOU"
Easton Brooks
nope you still use the costs listed in the index.
You're not allowed to use anything from the codex unless you're fielding an allied detachment of a marine chapter represented by codex marines.
Wyatt Adams
Not really.
Colton Watson
When are primaris going to get missile launcher pisols
Nicholas Johnson
People used to travel half way across the galaxy just to make a pilgrimage to the suspended half corpse of Guilliman.
What do all the people do now that he's up and walking again, form a giant, fanatical, poorly equipped crusade fleet and follow him around into battle?
Ethan Lee
Nah GK's niche is overwhelming short range anti-infantry firepower and excellent melee against big things, and leveraging all three phases in which you can do damage.
>also wtf is THAT, captcha ?!?
Chase Powell
So I got out my bin of super old ork bikers, boar riders and other currently unused stuff. And when I say old ork bikers, I mean the OLD shit. Not entirely sure if I should bother putting everything back together, or if I want to just buy two sets of the newer ork biker kits, and put these guys away in storage. They were all painted by my buddy in the 2nd ed days, so not sure I'd want to repaint anything, but I suppose I could keep them around a while if I do repair them.
Anyone know if wartrakks are pretty good on the table? They look okay looking at the rules, but I'd love to hear how they went for anyone running them. Not sure what to do with this war buggy, I sure as fuck ain't buying anymore of that old ass kit to give it back up.
Xavier Moore
>40k Flagellants
Neat, it would have some phenomenal bits
William Clark
Ah so that's why the dark elder let him hang out with them. I was so confused at that fluff, like why would the dark elder let a slaneesh devotee in commroagh.
Elijah Morales
Think those are fingers, nothing lewd.
Chase Rogers
The same thing. Travel in the hope they see him.
Landon Morris
The fuck is a special rule?
Colton Hughes
wartrakks are currently a little overcosted IMO but decent if you have them. Like it wouldn't go out of my way to buy new ones but I have a bunch of old ones I use.
I just use them to harass tanks usually
Gabriel Turner
jealous ov us umie?
Mason Phillips
>like why would the dark elder let a slaneesh devotee in commroagh.
Because they live on the edge, they did invite Lucius to fight in their gladiator pits.
Jordan Reed
can you explain what makes them worse than regular guard?
I can handle not being tier 1 but if they really suck i might play them with loyalist rules too
Jason Young
I would argue the other way around according to the "Codex: your questions answered" article on the 40k communnity page
Can I choose to use the rules and/or points for units from my index instead of the new ones in the codex once released? In your own games, if you and your opponent agree, you can, of course, play with whatever rules you like.
In all future publications and official events though, it will be assumed that you’re using the most recent rules and Datasheets. It will also be assumed that you’re using the most up to date points for matched play, in this case, those included in the codex.
considering the rules/stats for a power fist are unchanged except for the point value, I would assume the other marine players would use the most up-to-date values. i.e. 12 pts.
Carson Thomas
Saw a guy use them to plug up narrow areas. think it wasnt the primary use, but still, cool idea.
Jeremiah Bell
Post your store's stats
Aiden Evans
Their rules are just so broken they can't even board their transport vehicles, and their characters are not CHARACTERS so can just be oneshot by any fool with a lascannon.
David Price
>In your own games, if you and your opponent agree, you can, of course, play with whatever rules you like. This means house rules.
If you want to houserule powerfists to be 12pts for dark angels, space yiffs et all go for it.
But it's still a house rule because those chapters use the index and they are not 12pts in the index.
Eli White
I think it's point costs and stat lines. Renegade Guard have a BS of 5+ and an armor save of 6+ but cost as much, if not more, as a regular guardsman.
Ryan Lee
My rifledread was my very first kit bashed model. I'm never giving him up.
Grayson Martinez
Why do I suddenly feel like I've been Rickrolled ...
Jacob Robinson
Run him as Mortis Dread.
Jaxon Martinez
He's always performed well for me. Not once has he let me down.
Benjamin Young
Xeno scum
Jose Butler
Bizarre, I was just taking to someone about this today. Basically cultists are 1 point more per model with 1 worse save. The only difference really is that cultists can go in units of 10-40 I think it is, and guardsmen are stuck with 10 unless you go full conscript.
Xavier Murphy
i mean the second part of that answer dude. it's assumed you're using the most recent rules and updated points for matched play, in this case, use those included in the codex"
power fist points have been updated, so use the updated value (in reference to official events and shit)
Mason Bennett
It says in the faq explicitly that you do not use the codex unless it applies to you.
And the space marine codex does not apply to: Dark angels Grey knights Space wolves Blood angels/flesh tearers Deathwatch
Andrew Murphy
re-asking because the other thread died.
Which of the GW knights would be best to field alongside an Elysian Drop Troops army mostly made of veterans?
Lucas Carter
>Why would GW revoke the Indecies, books that customers already paid for?
What was the time frame between the release of the Traitor Legions/Traitors Hate/Wrath of magnus books and the release of 8th which invalidated everything
