/cyoag/ - CYOA General

Could someone point me into the direction of a comfy kingdom cyoa that does NOT involve pocket worlds? No battles for succession, no imminent wars, no hereditary concerns, no political intrigue, no mad lieges, etc. Just comfy, idyllic kingdoms surrounded by other comfy, idyllic kingdoms without the introversion and loneliness associated with private pocket dimensions.

The closest I can think of is Dream Prince. It implies you can visit neighboring dream realms, but that still smacks of poket domensions.

Magical Realm can achieve this with enough effort. My first build was a comfy continent of magitech kingdoms that have long since forsaken war yet still retain a friendly rivalry.

Millicent is hot, and should pay well for the mostly intact amount of dragon parts we bring in, plenty of scales and wings and stuff for her to use; will have to make a point of hunting ones she can use well. Tanya is just nice, and I love being matchmakered for (and BNC and Millicent would both be good waifus) and Jameson can act as a fourth man in the field who pays us for the privilege; hopefully he won't get us into too much trouble.

Scifi kinda has shitty options, in all of the sections. Worst wives too. The daughters for it don't even make senese, the wives are a robot, a cat, a moth, and a rabbit, but the daughters are only a cat and a rabbit. What gives? It's impossible for you to produce the cat daughter with 3/4 of the wives and the robot one makes zero sense with 3/4 of them. The rabbit and moth straight up don't get an option in this section. I started on a build for this but I can't even finish it because the events all mention a daughter and I was stubbornly insisting on a scifi build despite it being the worst, yet the only two girls I can remotely tolerate at all don't get a daughter option.

The Arcane sphere can do weaker versions of the other spheres' powers (IIRC, one RPG playtest had an Arcanist throw a brick at the same level a T&T crushed a car), and has miscellaneous unique powers like summoning and magic lasers.

But Geo > all anyway, so it's kind of a moot point.

There's a number of differences, with CYOAs being self-contained (and no necessary author involvement), user-focused (with many paths, fleshed out by the reader's imagination), general compactness (Many are a single image file, as opposed to quests that can only be saved in their original multi-thread form), and more.

CYOAs that weren't made as PDFs from the get-go would generally require rebuilding them as PDFs in the appropriate application, as simple images-to-PDF conversion would (from what I understand) be either too large to post, or too compressed to read.
