Afterwards Lillie assumes command of the Aether Foundation and leaves Gotham and Lunala is inducted into the bat family.

None the less, much of the world has seen continued conflicts as the endless Object fights alter country borders daily. It's easy to imagine the players are survivours in the remenants of a collapsed nation, burnt to cinders by Objects and nuclear fire alike.
Just slap some anachronistic US 50's styalisations everywhere and you're done.
