I'm gonna be a bug technomancer addicted to dating sims.

Who'd win in a fight? Starfinder or Pathfinder?

So Paizo can write good rules, the real problem was always 3.5

Pathfinder because wish.

>Starfinder leaks are here!
So is Starfinder still not out? I haven't been following it too closely, but I'd seen enough I was sure it would be out by now.

How closely does the system appear to stick to Pathfinder?

Pathfinder's just a curlbro, Starfinder can take him.

Starfinder! Starfinder!

PDFs were sent to those whose books have shipped. It's "out," but we don't have a full scrubbed pdf yet.

A kilogram of Starfinder weighs more than a kilogram of Pathfinder, because Starfinder is heavier than Pathfinder!

It sticks to it in such a way that it isn't too attached but the links are recognisable.

Reposting since new thread.

Just for completion's sake

no mate
theyr both a kilogram

Yes, professional musicians. People who make money off their singing. The lack of Perform does not mean you are incapable of singing, it just means you don't need to drop points into it to be good at singing.

That said, I kind of agree it's dumb. I don't want to be stuck as a +5 singer forever.

The character art game is going to be rough.

... What?

Rats, bugs, and lizards aren't too rough. Humans are obviously easy. The others...

I like the fluff and stats of most of the legacy races better than most of the new ones desu so I don't think it'll be a TOO big deal for me (still a little harder to avoid anything specifically fantasy). But yeah anyone wanting to play any of the SF specific races is gonna have a bad time on that front.

This, Elves seem fucking fantastic when you want to play a mid/high campaign.

Since when is Starfinder setting disallowing fantasy clothing?
Especially when your character aren't part of any uniformed group or simply a vagabond.
Sci-fi isn't an excuse to create your character into a scrapyard or a product fresh off your local factory.

The Starfinder halfling art is cute! CUTE!

I dislike most of the new races. It bothers me that the shirren and vesk look really unique but they're not actually notably different from humans in culture or practical physiology. The shirren in particular seem to be an entire race of "truly he was the most human among us".

Kasatha are pretty fucking cool though.

Just put some credits into buying good instruments and recording equipment and you'll be fine

>Kasatha are pretty fucking cool though.

Hear hear! Who doesn't want to play nomadic hyper-traditional mystic-soldiers?

The Age of Skintight Bodysuits is upon us.

Hey man, if you've got a decent Kasatha-passing art folder I'd love a dump.

I thought that much was obvious

What's shaping up to be better? Melee or ranged combat?

That age started when paizo published djezet skin.

When's the last time you actually played a character, or have seen someone play a character, that uses Djezet skin?

Ranged Combat, actually.

It's still too early to say I think. We have class features but they're all meant to be broad enough to offer options, which means they aren't useful for figuring this out.

We'll have to wait for weapons and feats in order to understand how the numbers will actually play out.

All the time, but that's because i often play diplomacy whores.

I hope melee combat will be better if just to avoid the entire thing turning out to become yet another shitfest of broken glasses where either the players steamroll the enemies or its a TPK.

>When's the last time you actually played a character, or have seen someone play a character, that uses Djezet skin?

I'm in a game RIGHT NOW where our summoner has been wearing Djezet skin for over 40 sessions and counting. The summoner is even a cute girl, but she is undoubtedly fluffing it as being under her real clothes.

It has existed since they came up with Numeria, problem is nobody plays in Numeria.

>Kasatha don't make good solarians
Huh.

That's kind of slutty, user. Y'all need Shelyn.

The last thing /pgg/ needs is the goddess of pedophiles

Well, Starfinder can bomb Pathfinder from orbit, so...

Is this a Power Word game? Depression does something awful to my ability to read text walls, I can't seem to parse the game concept.

Are you a bambuzzlord?

Pathfinder has 9th level spells, they can bomb Starfinder from ground level.

>That comment about depression
>tfw it explains why I've been so scatter-brained and unable to focus

Thank you, user. This explains so much about me and the past 3 months.

How do I It's Treason, Then in Starfinder?

>I wish the ships bombing us crashed

Top kek, Starfinder fags BTFO

IT WAS A HOLOGRAM

TL;DR "What if Paizo thought through their APs and didn't make them happen for retarded reasons?"
On the subject of power words, I do not mind them.

Pretty sure there are weapons of mass destruction in Starfinder that can glass a planet, so no need to get anywhere near the wizards.

Blitz Soldier with jump jets?

We still need the actual character creation rules. Anyone that's not paid attention to the Paizo forums would have no idea how ability scores are calculated for example.

She really is, I want her to be my pilot!

Still hoping someone will scrub it before release.

If you're serious, great. If you aren't, can't say I get the joke. Hope you feel better either way.

Thanks for that. Going full serious mode for tone? Might want to have a blurb about that, since folks'll better be able to start in the right direction. Don't want people bringing their Seducer Witches with big tats and shitty saves to the table when the game's gonna be more grounded and dangerous, ya know?

Hey Age Of Worms was good for the trashfire that was 3.5
Granted that was over 10 years ago but it's still worth noting. Pazio used to be good long, long ago.

Savage Tide is ripe

I wouldn't say it's full serious, but I guess I might note it somewhere.

DESU I'm pretty sure full scrubbed pdfs will probably only come out after the thing's been out to non-subscribers for a week or two.

How many fat-cheated Seducer witches have been made since the archetype was released, anyway?

So, I just talked to an unironic caster supremacist who only ever plays 9-casters in Pathfinder and who has a copy of the Starfinder CRB.
According to him, Starfinder 6-casting is stronger overall than Pathfinder 9-casting and easier to abuse.
Also according to him, a level 20 Technomancer can have up to 241 CR 20 undead under his command, utterly invalidating anything that even remotely looks like a martial.
How do you feel about Starfinder now, /pfg/?

Why would you play an Exocortex mechanic and not just a soldier?

You get an AI waifu you can carry around.

Nothing since I can nuke the said techomancer and all of his 241 undeads in an orbital strike.

Lewd

Can't say I rightly know. I don't usually follow /pfg/ games, and I only recently learned about the archetype because folks were talking about it here. If you're implying I'm exaggerating, I meant it as an example of something that wouldn't mesh with a certain kind of campaign. I've no clue how prevalent certain classes are in /pfg/ apps beyond what's memed here, and that's incredibly unreliable.

I don't know
Also how is your tulpa doing

>BTFO starfinderfag memeing instead of a retort

Why do Hacker and Thief have no +4 for Trick Attacks?

Because?

Because you post shitty weeb OP's.

PoW question:
If you're an archetype-progression initiator, and you move into a full initiating prestige class (Mage Hunter in this case), are you still limited to 6th level maneuvers with the new maneuvers you unlock in there?

I've only seen on earnest attempt at a Seducer Witch and that was Dominions of Vice, it's not a common archetype at all.

When has melee being better ever stopped that from happening? Only difference is everyone's first action is "I pounce" instead of "I fire"

No, I'm pretty sure you're not.

Karvane makes one to every game he applies to. So far he got accepted with Seducer Witches twice.

I remember people saying that too, but, where is it?

Okay. It was an example of a character that wouldn't fit the tone of a game. I wasn't saying it was common.

kek, every time.

So you're telling me a chesty seductress has no place in an urban intrigue campaign?!

Because why?

You gotta tell me why they should.

And we need feats and gear too!

Why are we so excited with our large exclamation points!!

I'm saying a character with shitty will saves because dumb and impressionable slut caster memes wouldn't fit in a higher lethality game where saves are targeted. If the game is more serious, playing up your character's sex appeal whenever possible may detract from the experience.

What about dump and impressionable slut paladins into BDSM who worship Arshea and are addicted to harlot sweets?

So tell me how ysoki don't totally suck. Their race abilities are meh and they have 2 HP base. Why play one of these?

Because ROCKET RACCOON.

Why the fuck wouldn't I just play an Elf or something? They even have the flavor of being an Eldar so I can play fucking Macha, who the fuck likes Skaven anyway?

Decent saves, though I don't see too many situations in which being into BDSM would be relevant. If being dumb is represented with shitty int, your skill ranks will suffer.

Once again, it depends on the campaign. If there's sex, cool. If there isn't, then there's no point in sharing that information, and doing so is likely to decrease your likelihood of getting in, since it may be read as you attempting to force a tone the GM doesn't want. I don't know what the GM wants, which is why I asked them to put something in the listing regarding that.

How do you determine HP in Starfinder? Is it race HP + class HP?

Plus Constitution.

Cool, I guess things aren't as squishy now.

Race HP + Class HP x Class Level

No, only Stamina gets Constitution added to it.

Clearly it's because something something Elves hate people something.

>Elves hate people
What a coincidence, so do I. They're the perfect race for such an enlightened man as myself.

Ranged combat is the standard, because duh. Melee combat is the high risk, high reward option: if you do it right, you can lock down the ranged guys since the options for avoiding attacks of opportunity are limited, but you're still a guy with a sword rushing into a group of guys with guns... so make damn sure you don't fuck it up.

Dude, they've got fucking CHEEK POUCHES.
Best race ever.

Hey now! I've only made two Seducer witches, and only one of them was accepted. "Witch" was not actually a witch, and Darkstar is neither witch-looking nor an actual witch (although seductive she is).

That said, SedWitch is my witch arch of choice, but that's only because I'm a charismafag.

How long will it take before one of the /pfg/ meme games decides to switch to starfinder just to generate more attention for their celeb-filled shillfest?

>only made two Seducer witches
>only
