>Rules and such. Use Readium on pc/iphone, lithium/kobo on android: >Everything 8th edition in pdf & epub, SW:A, WIP and BB are here too, no novels. mega.nz/#F!64wmnBZR!rWcm37EkOOeToeueqhPjpA
Now the question is, do I do Tyranids, or do I do Codex: Space Marines? And do you think the Codex pages should: 1. Override old page 2. Be a separate page on the same doc 3. Be on a separate doc
Cooper Rivera
Post your store results >chaos getting fucking curbstomped
Jordan Baker
But the thing is. For a double dex drop there seems to be no models, and that rumour says t'au/mech double drop. But Atia said new Tau models and would those not release with the codex?
Dominic Cook
I think tyranids, as at least some of the index marine stuff will still be relevant in the meantime.
Probably best to have a separate doc for codex stuff
Josiah Fisher
Is there any use for Hellions? They seem pretty shitty in this edition like always.
Andrew Rogers
>But Atia said new Tau models I've looked everywhere and never found her actually saying this. I think it was taufags making shit up and sourcing to her.
Robert Williams
No, who cares about some shit npc faction anyways?
Samuel Campbell
Tyranid bros, tell me your Hive Fleet tactics ideas you've been pondering.
Juan Thomas
With either the S or A boosting drug and hit and run letting them charge, fallback in the next turn, shoot and then charge again they're able to throw out a whole lot of dice, especially good for sweeping cheap hordes. Very fragile though
Jeremiah Turner
Funnily enough, I never actually got around to vanilla SM. Still, I am also leaning Tyranids first, such that after I do Tyranids and C:SM all factions should be covered.
I'm similarly leaning separate doc, but I'll probably copy a bunch of the specialist pages (Snipers, Durability, Combi-Weapons, Shop-Calcs) so that they're available on both.
Tyranids it is! Will likely have damage calcs done within the next few days.
Jose Gonzalez
I just can't help but feel that the points spent on them would be better spent on scourges or jetbikes not to mention taking the S/A drug choice away from something else.
Carter Reyes
And I forgot the image
Gavin Brooks
I bought 2 tyranid swarms a trygon prime and a flyrant. I also got 3 warriors for 6 bucks. An old broodlord and 20 genestealers and death leaper all during the height of 7th edition, they were dirt cheap. So I'm lacking in synapse but what I do have I plan on wrapping up with all of my gaunts and letting their "hit whatever you can see" take center stage. My idea is that there was so much biomass that there was more need for Zerg rush than there was methodical tactics. I really like the npc idea of a trygon emerging from the depths and flooding the table with >70 gaunts. Thinking of getting a couple of tervigons too just to keep the horde pumping. It'll suck against most tactic heavy games but I think the idea of the synapse I do have will hold the objectives they reach well.
James Myers
Meh. It's not like most modern marine art even looks like that.
Jason Martin
>Hey guys, people are literally begging or plastic aspects, plastic sisters, non-gorilla guard, generic inquisitors etc. What should we spend our plastic mould budget on? >How about a limited edition marine that is completely indistinguishable from cheaper snapfit models?
Noah Fisher
>one chaos player hurr look how awesome we are.
Anthony James
>NPCfags still bitching about muh broken codices l m a o
Chaos actually won in our store last week. Pic related >chaosfags will still bitch about this either way
Camden Ross
>Let's say so much - you will be getting some new tau stuff that's not directly part of the t'au empire :P We Chaeos T'au
Christian Morales
Ahh real conflict there I like it. I just don't like the crushing "you never had a chance kid" fights.
Adam Martin
No, but it was a very silly time.
Easton Ross
>that's not directly part of the Empire Sounds like Kroot Codex or something similar to me.
Reminder that Chapter Approved used to be where the Kroot Mercs army list was and a new one is out in December.
Blake Powell
I prefer reavers myself, but they're always going to be running painbringer. Hellions are one of the better users of the S/A drugs, so long as you can keep you opponent busy shooting something else long enough for them to close
Scourges are always a good pick though
Camden Carter
Truescale looks so bad.
Ayden Nelson
Fuck sorry m8, meant for As to your army list, yeah I would play against it, looks fun
Anthony Parker
Pray tell why
Easton Davis
ADB's newest book is out this Saturday!
Are you HYPE?
Nathaniel Diaz
Can't wait for the daddy issues and the egalitarian bitching from everyone's favorite male feminist!
Joshua Sullivan
Because of the true scale movement.
Mason Gomez
where are you user? its ok you can tell us
Jaxson Lee
Looking at how GW makes them now, the truescale autists have won.
Chase Perry
I really love the Black Legion Berserker scheme for some reason.
Joseph Taylor
someone said lheor is barely in it so nah
Eli Ross
Kroot is dead, sorry m8. T'au blurbs no longer describe the faction as one of auxiliaries but the mecha one
Owen Hill
How do i weigh down Mongolian recasts
Connor Lopez
I've already read it on iOS, it's definitely not as good as Talon of Horus.
Grayson Reed
The leaker straight up states the new Tau releases wont be part of the empire. That means Kroot or Demiurg or something. It wont be Farsight because their army list uses all the same units.
Thomas Clark
With lead, tungsten, or DU. Take your pick.
Ayden Jones
>true scale >looks even more out of scale then regular Space Marines >we /lanklets/ now why
Jose Brown
...
Asher Bell
Every time I see this picture...
THAT RUBRICS TRIGGER DISCIPLINE IS LACKING. BUT ITS NOT HIS FAULT, HE CAN"T DO ANYTHING WITHOUT THE SORCERERS GO AHEAD. WHICH MEANS THERE IS SOME ASSHOLE OUT THERE WHO DOESN'T GIVE A SHIT ABOUT GUN SAFTEY
Julian Reyes
That just kind of looks like old/bad models, the Primaris look more competently done at least
Colton Gray
>I've already read it on iOS, it's definitely not as good as Talon of Horus.
I should reread Talon first I guess, I recall having problems with it at the time it came out... like it was a sleek package containing nothing but air.
Brayden Powell
Technically Farsight is the one outside the Empire whereas Kroot are not Outside of the Empire does not mean not Tau
Dominic Harris
...
Camden Bennett
How is a dakkajet being almost as much as a stormtalon for a fraction of the firepower and mobility even remotely balanced?
Supa Shootas should do 2 damage
Nathan Carter
Is this a canon or homebrew chapter? Because I love the scheme and your paint job.
Angel Sanchez
Would anyone whose seen the points be able to tell me if lightning claws and/or Warp Talons have dropped in points? I know Powerfists got reduced in points, but it would really help me to know if claws did too, in the Chaos book or the Space Marine. I have no fitting picture to go with this question, so here's what possessed would look like if they weren't retarded.
Levi Robinson
Because it looks like a cool jet rather than a flying potato.
Zachary Moore
Why aren't you taking Blitza-Bommers and dropping mortal wounds like Christmas presents?
Connor Martinez
I know fuck all about actually using guns, and still I'm like "WTF is that Rubric doing ?!?"
They sure look professional, but they're just so grossly oversized that they look like they belong in some other tabletop wargame that uses an entirely different scale than 40k. Almost as silly as it is to use Epic models for 40k.
Aiden Adams
the color scheme looks lifted from that chapter victoria lamb did
Eli Clark
What the fuck are you talking about
Stormtalons are garbage and Dakkajets are way better
Nobody even runs Stormtalons anymore
Lincoln Ortiz
I'm not the owner but that looks like Knights of Blood.
Ayden Hill
Warp Talons dropped 2 pts.
LC I think dropped 1
So they're 3pts cheaper
Owen Wright
how the fuck is 2 krak missiles always hitting on 2s bad? It can fly the fuck around capping objectives and fucking up pretty much anything while also being hard to hit, all for under 200 points
Nicholas James
I can agree to disagree with you on that in that you have a point, but given that the Primaris are around 8 feet tall it doesn't bother me too much and I don't think it's strange to look at on the tabletop
Liam Rogers
I'm re-reading it just to see if I like it a second time around but I still just find it a bit of a struggle to get through.
Matthew Cruz
Great to know! Thanks man. I chose this image at random, just for you.
Adam Powell
Yes. They're really good at harrassing vehicles because they can leave, shoot, and go right back into assault. Don't expect them to live against anything pointed their way, but they should be fairly low on the target priority. My first game I just expected them to die, but they lasted a while and did amazing disruption for me. Against Terminators, they're not terrible because each wound is a 1/6 chance to kill one. On that same note, they're pretty good on Poxwalkers because they are forced to make double saves.
Is right. Giving them S/A makes them shine. Generally speaking, my Bloodbrides get +1S and my Hellions get +1A unless I really need that S5 for bikes or something.
Justin Phillips
>he doesn't know about stormhawk master race
Ayden Miller
>S5 for bikes or something. Reavers are always going to be hitting at S4 with their bloodvanes anyway
Ayden Parker
Reading it for the first time I find Iskandhur fucking insufferable
Dominic Jackson
What's the best loadout for a bunch of Chosen with a Lord ?
I was thinking either x5 plasma guns or x5 plasma pistols + chainswords.
I'm planning to put them in a Dreadclaw so they will definitely be in melee most of the game, making me lean toward the pistol + chainsword option, but being able to shit out 10 overcharged plasma shots turn one is very tempting...
Blake Jones
Only one I could find of hers is the Emperor's Shadows, which is distinct from that painter's.
Yeah, that was my thought too. Very similar, but grey instead of silver.
Isaiah Cooper
It's my homebrew Exorcists successors I seriously didn't know about these guys, looks like i'm not quite as original as I thought. At least it's not 100% the same I guess
Jackson Russell
For killing bikes. I give my Hellions S5 if I'm against bikes because they're really good at killing them, and the S4 on the bride's is wasted.
Nathaniel Martinez
Dual plasma pistols.
Gavin Bailey
I don't think any chaos models can do that
Kevin Turner
>male feminist!
Hudson Wood
>looks like i'm not quite as original as I thought
No worries, it is even part of the lore that there were two chapters that had the exact same name and heraldry without anybody realizing untill they were both wiped at around the same time.
Camden Rogers
As I've suspected, the legion trait is really
overhyped
and mostly mediocre, but we're not allowed to say that because it's the greatest thing to have ever blessed the rules of the game ever. I do like the warlord trait and claws, though. The free reroll is handy because you can save a command point. The claws are beastly with the D3 damage.
Jackson Roberts
Woah, 2 krak missiles.
Or you could, you know, take some devastators you fucking retard.
Meanwhile Dakkajets shred conscripts which are actually a problem, unlike things that die to krak missiles.
Charles Ramirez
Chaos has lost Konor, let us regroup and release garrisons of Soul Grinders with titan and knight allies!
Kayden Garcia
The entry says choose ONE of the following options, so you can replace the bolter or the bolt pistol for a plasma pistol but not both. Unless this was adressed in a FAQ ?
Jonathan Roberts
>On that same note, they're pretty good on Poxwalkers because they are forced to make double saves. Hellions have a similar niche against big mobs of orks backed by painboyz, as their attack doing two wounds means they'll need to pass their FnP test twice
Jason Nguyen
Dammit, it does look like Chosen can't go plasma gunslinger, only sergants/champions can. Why does GW hate fun ?
Nolan Diaz
>ADB
Brody Ramirez
That's literally what ABD self-describes himself as though.
Ryan Cook
Talon of Horus does a much better job with the characterization I think, with all the characters. Lheor and Telemachon are barely in this one (and definitely don't have character development), Abaddon spends the whole book being a nervous wreck, Iskandur has to learn to trust Ezekyle again, etc.
Also if I have to read "another glorious victory" after they smash a servo skull or whatever in another ADB book I'm going to write him a sternly worded letter. He did it in Night Lords, Talon, and now this one.
Ethan Gutierrez
>Exorcists successors You mean Grey Knights successors, right? You people do realize that successors are only successors of the Progenitor, right?
Jose Bennett
Yes, but the hellions aren't going to cause nearly enough damage to the Orks before the Orks turn them into paste.
As an side note, hellions should have No Escape. That's literally what they do. What good is hit and run when your opponent walks away from you and shoots you to death?
John Turner
>You people do realize that successors are only successors of the Progenitor, right? That's not true. Geneseed can deviate and mutate in later foundings and be used to create further foundings. ALL Chapters tithe their geneseed to the vaults, not just First Founding, which means all of them are potential candidates for creating later Chapters.
Benjamin Davis
Technically true, there are canon successor chapters that have founded successors though.
Samuel Kelly
Does the new chaos codex hit friday or saturday in the state? And if it's saturday, could anyone post the possible point reductions?
Henry Thompson
You have splinters, yes. But a Successor owes its lineage ultimately to the Progenitor.
Yeah, but they would yield to the Progenitor.
>in the state? Which one?
Daniel Ramirez
I'd say Hellions and Reavers, seeing as they're both "Wyches". Spam the FB page to pass it along to the rules writers while we still have time?
Kayden Phillips
Successors can have successors of their own, it's just not focused on as much. The Marines Errant are successors of the Eagle Warriors, for example.
Nathaniel Martinez
Marines Errant identify as Ultramarine succys.
Dominic Diaz
The new Code Geass is looking good
John James
...because the Eagle Warriors are successors of Ultramarines, yes. The Marines Errant are like the grandson to Ultramarines, with Eagle Warriors being the sons. Dig?
