Good boy witches only!

I mean, I suppose it's fitting that nearly all of the male witches are twinky fuccbois

...

...

...

...

...

I don't think they're looking for our kind of warlock, guys.

...

...

Definitely a wizard, user.

This is the only male with witch in the filename I have, except for some witch doctors.

I don't know what the fuck people are looking for in this thread. Back in my day, warlocks were masculine, evil and dangerous.

Anyways, if the D&D style of warlock is allowed, I got tons of that.

...

Could be a sorcerer.

...

Where dis from?

Could be a witch doctor.

...

Doesn't that dude own a fucking funnel or something?

...

hence why we burn them

I see these douche bags all over downtown. Vaping in public with their domesticated owls on their shoulders.

...

could be male.

Not sure if you are joking or not

Does he count? Or should I got for Daud?

Hey, witch doctor, give us the magic words!

>hence why we bum them
fixed

>he has a pet goose
EVIL. WAY TOO EVIL.

Your soul shall suffer !

I can feel the warp overtaking me... It is a good pain.

...

that's awesome

that's snufkin from moomin tho

Sauron was BUFF

Anything like an Aasimar warlock? Still with the holy/good theme?

what are the differences between

>wizard
>warlock/witchboi
>mages
>druids
>shamans
>sorcerers

>Wizard
Pointy hat, flowing robes, big stick
>Warlock
Big collar, energy balls
>Witchboi
Pointy hat, broomstick, cauldron, loose flowy top but tight bottoms to show off twink bulge and booty
>Druids
Big stick, fur coat
>Shamans
Stick with lots of things on it, skin or bone mask
>Sorcerers
Big robes, bare hands, often either totally bald or with wacky hair
>Mages
catch-all term.

...

Didn't you mean "witch (male)"?

...

I've got one.

Oh, thanks for the reminder:

Only a wizard ever carries a spellbook.

>not knowing what a Book of Shadows is

Fucking pleb.

...

...

...

It's clearly arbitrary and the names are used different ways in different settings, but I'd put it like-
>Wizard
Scholarly, magic from knowledge
>Warlock
Magic borrowed from some outsider via a pact
>Mage
Maybe like Wizard, but innate? (What D&D calls Sorcerer)
>Druid
Draws power from meditating/communing with nature
>Shaman
Communes with individual nature spirits, kind of like a druid-y Warlock
>Sorcerer
Power through knowledge, but a focus on more subtle and potentially far-reaching spells. More occult than the Wizard.

For bonus points:
>Cleric
Draws power from their devotion
>Priest
Power gifted to them by their chosen deity

That's actually a shaman

He's gonna ruin his carpet this way, holy fuck.

Mage, to me, is short for magician. A catch-all term for practitioners of magic everywhere.

Magus or 'Archmage' being its grandest users.

>wizard
arcane formula written down in spellbooks, their spells partially cast each day, constructed like computer programs made of magic energy then stored in their brain
>warlock/witchboi
Got a pact with an otherworldly entity which grants them spells and power, sometimes in exchange for services or more personal things.
>mages
catchall term for spell casters, though more accurately for arcane types.
>druids
Divine casters imbued with power by nature/primal spirits of nature, often work as intermediaries between civilization and the wild.
>shamans
Divine casters who work with small spirits of nature, fey, and the dead to perform magical feats.
>sorcerers
Magic from the blood, innate magical power pulled from within.

Magus for me calls to mind the warrior casters who blend spells and steel in combat. The swordmage, the eldritch knight, the magus. Of course the real world definition is that of those who belonged to the hereditary priestly class of ancient persia.

>Magus for me calls to mind the warrior casters who blend spells and steel in combat

Pathfinder scumbag. Tabletop devs rarely use proper definitions for their shit. Be gone!

If you go more traditional and mythological druids shamans and witches are as good as different flavors of the same thing, a wizard is what we now use the word sorcerer for and a sorcerer is a generic term for magic user just like mage.

...

...

...

>Writes out bog-standard DND definitions
Get a load of this guy

>>wizard
Old, does all the magics
>>warlock/witchboi
Does the magics one is not supposed to do
>>mages
Upstart or specialized magic user
>>druids
Nature priest; like the wizard but barks about trees and nature a lot
>>shamans
Mediator between people and spirits. Does less flashy magic and more "getting the local earth spirit to stop poisoning the well water" kind of magic
>>sorcerers
Flashiest of them all. Really just a mage but presents themselves as more innately mystical/unknowable

...

...

...

...

...

>Wizard
The old geezer steeped in eldritch lore and unfathomable arcane secrets. The most powerful and most respected of the bunch.

>Warlock
A breaker of oaths, chains and pledges. A disgrace to covens everywhere. Delvers of more occult magics.

>Witchboi
A male witch, what else? Probably a homosexual.

>Druids
Wise men and women dealing with more pagan arts. Lovers of the 'old ways'.

>Shamans
Spiritual leaders, dealing in/with spirits and the resonance related to that.

>Sorcerers
In-between Mages and Wizards, a greater artist of magic. Often correlated with sketchier magics and practitioners of darker methods.

>Mage
A universal term for magic-users everywhere, at least the more artsy forms.

Sorry, never heard of it.

>Oh, the think they can ruin League of extraordinary Gentlemen with their movie, eh?
>I'll show them how to ruin a great premise

Mirin' those abs

This schematic can help.

I'm just more confused
