The god of death
youtube.com
The god of trade, goes by the name greed to prevent anyone from getting him wrong.
i hope we get to Paris in KingdomHearts 3 so we get a fight against Minister Frollo.
I can totally see him using fire spells and attacks to this version of Hellfire

If my group could have ever coordinated schedules well enough to allow me to run a longer campaign than 2 sessions, I would have used this one for an NPC that would've ended up being revealed to the party as the champion of Envy(Long story short, the main story of the campaign is that the gods had decided to judge the mortal races of the world by forcing them to overcome their seven inherent flaws, or to the mortal races, sins, represented by mortals chosen at the will of the gods, within a given range of a few hundred years. The gods entrusted Melchior, the Custodian of Ages to bring this to the attention of mortals who seemed up to the task of conquering one or more of the flaws, aka the players.) Anyway, the NPC would be a spirited, young adventurer who would slowly come to realize his role as Envy and he would grow more powerful as the group continued adventuring with him. After a certain point Envy would realize that the players are Melchior's chosen and after a heart-wrenching speech, a power engulfed Envy would attack the heroes with song related playing.

I know, I know,
>undertale
It's a great song, though.
Well my campaign's a Jojo one,so they have to by necessity
It's a metaphor for necromancy
In Storm King's Thunder: the Musical, all characters will be cool enough for their own songs.
What I have so far (the lyrics to most will be extensively re-written):
01. The Drunk Duck Inn (Les Miserables - "Master of the House")
02. Once Upon a Time... (Queen - "Ogre Battle")
03. Giants Attack Triboar (Iron Maiden - "Run to the Hills")
04. The Savage Frontier
05. Harshnag's Song
06. The Eye of the All-Father
07. Mirran and Nym Plot
08. Guh's Song (Moana - "Shiny")
09. Kayalithica's Song
10. Storvald's Song (Led Zeppelin - "The Immigrant Song")
11. Zalto's Song (Phantom of the Opera - "Why So Silent?")
12. Sansuri's Song
13. Serissa's Song
14. Hekaton Swears Revenge
15. Iymrith the Titan's Song (Queen - "Seven Seas of Rhye")
BONUS TRACK - Blagothkus's Fury
BONUS TRACK - Moog's Lament
BONUS TRACK - Together Again (Moog & Hruk)
If you don't make your players perform these and record it I'll be disappointed.
Personalmy, Im found of Escaflowne's soundtrack.
Hellfire is my cleric's theme song :3
well since my villian is a blatant rip off of the british empire, i usuallt play

when the players suffer yet another crushing loss or phyrric victory. does that count?
We haven't actually met the BBEG in our current game yet, because he has an infuriating habit of showing up somewhere five days before us, fucking shit up and leaving while we're putting out fires.
Given that we're on a spooktacular adventure path though I'm assuming his theme will be something along the lines of :
By which I mean this youtu.be
hurr durr I can't even use copy and paste at this time of night.
Yup. The all-encompassing decay. I need to find a better name for 'it'.
The song's supposed to sound agonizing.
He was in dream drop distance, and he's a judge in Hunchback. He just summoned the dumbest heartless boss in the game, it was sucky and boring.
I meant to say he's a judge in the Disney version of Hunchback.
>[The Party] has committed Heresy. SLAY THEM IN THE NAME OF GOD!

AAAAAAAMEN
Yes, and every word in the song is "Die"
what a coincidence I was listening to this exact song.
*frumple*
Last campaign's BBEG theme. Though I didn't really use it when the BBEG was present, it was the song that I ended up listening to when planning out stuff for the BBEG.

I want to play with you, Jesus Christ. Absolute patrician taste.
Really? Because it sounds more like a metaphor for pact magic.
youtube.com
While initially this wasn't the intended villain it just kind of happened because of players going off the rails.
I don't do a lot but I have done it a few times.
For one villain I've used this.
youtube.com
"Son of a bitch!
God likes me
I am the best
Fuck everybody else
"Suck on my dick
I'm perfect
I am the best
Fuck everybody else"
Every other time I've used the three battle themes from Enemy Zero as a recurring leitmotif.

Was he LN going to LE?
Why do I want those girls to step on me and bully my dick?
Might I ask what theme songs/stands the players and villain(s) have?

For scene use I have used the following

Here there be witches touches that good metallic techno spot on the back of my hear.
Last few I used:
Jedi Temple March
March of Mephisto
Lumine's theme
Jesper Kyd's Apocalypse
Karl Sanders' The Elder God
Aside from that Juno Reactor always works.
In book? LG to CE. In Disnep LE all the way.
How does one bully a dick?
Call it short?
Arthas' return and Mordred's Lullaby are quite good if you have appropriate situation.
You gotta include "Come Out Ye Black and Tans" at some point.

Tell me more.
No one villians Like GASTON
So this is how warlocks are made.
I thought he was the hero?

Bitch is worth it.
I have never been in a situation where I loved a person's music, and hated them with a fiery passion.
What'd they do?
How do some many of you use songs with lyrics... that's just a distraction.

His three themes I use for the villain arriving before I start playing the battle/confrontation music generally.
I can't post all of it because some of them are private links but:

Pretty much this.
That's why I found soundtracks from video games to be real useful in my campaign.

Like that one time the PCs stumbled on a cult.
So what is the candy store a metaphor for here? Does the story have a literal candy store in it?
The candy is the clitoris
She's basically saying: "I'll be your girlfriend if you lick me good"
Absolutely incorrect the musical is called Heathers. The candy store is a metaphor about joining the popular crowd in order to get whatever she could possibly want, but she has to betray her best friend in order to do that. It's a good musical.
I still like my explanation better
You're entitled to your opinion even if it's wrong.

If I ever get to run my game of Luchadores I'll probably put this song during a confrontation against one of the major antagonist
Orgasm denial.
Hellsing AMV for bad guys? ok.

Not so much an actual theme as it sets the pace for everything the BBEG does. Zero to one hundred in the blink of an eye.
Not yet but I am working him up to it. In a semi-hard sci-fi game Jack "Chief" Gobel is 6'7" former jail warden, looks like pic related, and currently leads a small crew of former coworkers in bounty hunting following them all being fired from the company they worked for when the PCs led a successful jailbreak out of the facility they formerly staffed. I am going to use him and his crew as reoccurring antagonists who wish to capture the PCs alive in part due to revenge but also for the decently sized bounty on their heads.
Anyone got any suggestions for a theme that fits an old paragon of the law jailer turned mercenary in SPACE?
Since we are doing musicals now

Bravo.
Rain of a Thousand Flames is great for evil and wickedness.
I never liked this movie, it just seemed dumb to me. Like are the gargoyles really alive or is he crazy? Why can he never leave?
>Like are the gargoyles really alive or is he crazy?
Apparently they're really alive, but they're pretty much the result of Disney's schizophrenic creation process that demands lighthearted mascot characters no matter how dark or dramatic the story really is.
>Why can he never leave?
If you mean Quasimodo, he can't leave because he's an ugly motherfucker and everybody is a dick. This was directly shown in the movie.
Current villain: youtube.com
There's an edit of the movie that cuts the gargoyles out entirely, save for a number of appearances where they don't speak or do anything meaningful. It darkens the tone a bit. The problem is that they are a result of the process and the mandated comic relief even when they make no sense and mostly take away from the film because the characters are obnoxious at best.
>Why can't he leave
Because it's medieval Europe and he'd be shunned and possibly even hunted by regular people for being the spawn of Satan. Or at least, that's what Frollo would have him believe. Their relationship is abusive and Frollo has him think that so he won't be associated with a monster if he gets seen in public. In the book Frollo really didn't give a shit what people thought and took Quasimodo out with him sometimes. Everyone already thought he was a sorcerer anyway, how could that be any worse.

Theme for the heroes of the story:
youtube.com
Since the overall arc of the campaign is the PCs taking responsibility for being (former) murderhobos, it fits.
Vamp buisness man, very strong bloodline, is taking the role of Boris in the song. Sees most other bloodlines as pathetic. Currently helping the party take down a vampire smuggling ring thats converting illegal immigrants on boats before they arrive.
youtube.com
yup, the warlock has the hoo-doo voo-doo

so do the party for that matter

yes, he's a shameless kingpin rip off

Dude, even your minions need to be cool enough to have their theme song.
youtube.com
>generic but you can't go wrong with this

He is a vampire called Otiluke. Yes, he is THAT Otiluke. It has been a long time. Out to rip the universe a new one by having a face to face with the Demiurge.
He is basically lying to himself about what he does. Oh, and he cross dresses.
youtube.com
I used this for my BBEG for a D&D game I ran, and since the theme is used in other parts of the soundtrack I could set up really good moments. My players can't hear the song without thinking of the bad guy now, and it's one of the best feelings in the world.
no, but if they did the mermaid would have had this
youtube.com
the legion maybe this
youtube.com
I'd have made this work for the bandit queen
youtube.com
and "General Nonsense" would probably have had something like this
youtu.be
Nothing's concrete yet, but I'm planning on using two distinct musical styles to denote stuff about the various enemies/characters in the game that I'm planning to run soon (tm)
If this is what seemed like a good idea to you then I can see how you never get more than 2 sessions.
why have 'a' villain
when you could have "the" Villain
youtube.com
Take a Guess.
I've been using Metal Gear Rising for my latest BBEG because of how over the top the fights have gotten.
youtube.com
Also pick related.
I take a lot of musical inspiration when creating over-arching enemies. A chapter-length enemy or a cool one-off bad guy might have a song at the root of their inspiration but I usually have a playlist worth of songs for my villains.
That said, I did have players chasing the villain across several dimensions in a rip-off of His Dark Material, except Lyra was an asshole who knew exactly what he was doing. Pretty much Lord Asriel with Lyra's mission. He had one theme.
I had been running Acererak as the second Act surprise villain of a campaign, and wanted to musically set him apart from the existing tone, which was mostly Carpenter Brut and Perturbator.
I had originally planned to use Ritual, but then this dropped a few weeks before the showdown:
youtube.com
The two main villains found each other in their darkest hour, and picked each other up off the ground. They're both trying to get back to their loved ones, but to do so they must also unseal a malevolent being that was locked away long ago in a pretty standard macguffin race with the party.
The ancient evil is the loved one of one of the villains, and no longer resembles anything redeemable. The villains' bond of fire-forged friendship will be tested, and the party can potentially convince them both to help defeat the new BBEG
youtube.com
or face a dual boss as one sides with the BBEG and the other flees with the macguffin.
youtube.com
And if they play their cards right, they just might discover the real man behind everything. Pic related.
youtube.com
I don't usually use music, but I had the last one go out with
youtube.com
seemed fitting has the party had just beaten his army and killed him, in front of his mistress.
The more I think about it I'm considering making her into some sort of revenant and having her haunt them
The Dominator has only one sound, and it is brass

bump
I'm going to need some context.
I used youtube.com
in a VTM campaign to signal the advent of Gehenna, does that count?
Own that shit man!
Godly taste user.
Future technology has advanced so much that humans, while rare now, are literal gods among all other creatures because they limited their population, but increased their power ten fold. So now, they can rip a planet apart if they get bored. and two humans fighting could destroy an entire star system.
It's fun.
So like, Exalted but with power suits?
No powers suits.
Humans are integrated with technology. They're flesh, but not flesh.
It's hard to explain But they're basically future pic related.
Neat. Any notes?
No digital copy. A friend printed it out for me and gave me the rules.
You could however get the same results with exalted.
