Cyclopes Preferences

Dear Veeky Forums,

Cyclopes happen to be my most favorite kind of giant, but I also find them to be one of the most underused or unappreciated giant, so therefor; I would absolutely love to hear how you personally like them or use them in your setting.
I've got a personal preference for tall, skinny, intelligent, and pretty but 'weird' looking aloof giants, but that's just me.

Divine smiths who created great cities and other masonry, but then retreated when men came along.

Since there's so little modern baggage they're basically a free space.

I usually run them as mysterious and rare illusionists, each one has a unique skin colour and they have a hypnotic eye.

Not giants, but psychic aliens with ridiculously long tongues and cute little hip/shoulder ridges.

Dead.

Also, it's kinda hard to find SFW images of them.

>Also, it's kinda hard to find SFW images of them.

This.
You search up Cyclops and you only ever find three things:
-An endless supply of Cyclops pornography, because Japan LOVES sad, pretty, Cyclopes.
-Basically just Ogres/Hill Giants with one eye.
-Cyclopes from the X-Men.

Pseudo-classical-greek, like the rest of the giants. Seers and mystics, debating philosophy while failing to pick up the pieces of the ancient giant empire.
I'm not allowed to use them as a DM anymore, after I kept threatening the party with a sniping cyclopes assassin clan. See, they normally kind of suck at longrange sniping and have to cheat with spellwork or the like. After a dozen sessions of random attacks and finally deciding to focus on them, they found the clan's secret to skillful sniping: The Mystic Eye of Depth Perception.

... Then the screaming started.

I like them to be a larval form of beholders. once their eyestalks develop their head detaches and they eat the remains as a quick source of nutrition. which is why nobody can find the cyclops graveyard, despite the rumors of vast wealth and powerful artifacts being hidden there.

>-Cyclopes from the X-Men.
EVERY
FUCKING
TIME

Just a little bump.

...

Givin' 'er one last bump.

MONOEYES ARE FOR BULLYING

I prefer them Transfixed with lighting.
Or fearsome wroth.

>that huge ass receiver and magazine
>that tiny ass round
wew, this bothers me more than it should.

I-it's okay, user. I=it's just forced perspective or something, that's all.
Nice get.

Brom is a saint.

>tfw you realize it's an over sized Cheytac without an optic
Even worse.

I like the Bungisngis:
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bungisngis
>Having a humanoid shape, it has large teeth which are always showing, and its upper lip covers its face when it is thrown back. Two long tusks project from the side of its mouth. The cyclops only eye, is found in the middle of its forehead, but this is compensated by its strong sense of hearing.
And the Mapinguari, although it is more of a one-eyed monster than a giant.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mapinguari
>These include the creature only having one eye, long claws, lizard-like skin, backward feet, and a second mouth on its belly.
>Accounts state that it gave off a putrid stench and emitted a frightening shriek, and that weapons such as arrows and bullets could not penetrate the Mapinguariā€™s alligator-like hide
Although I should mention that the "lizard/alligator-like skin" was a feature that seems to appear only in the 1920s. The cryptozoo's idea that it could be a cryptozoological megatherium fits the bill better in the sen that the latter had a hide reinforced by osteroderms.
Finally, we have Kabandha, a cursed divine musician:
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kabandha
>He became arrogant due to his boon and attacked Indra, the god-king of heaven. Indra used his celestial weapon the Vajra (thunderbolt) and drove Vishvavasu's head and thighs into his body. Vishvavasu pleaded that he be given a way to find and eat food. Upon Vishvavasu's beseeching, Indra gave him two long arms and a mouth on his belly. Indra also decreed that Kabandha would regain his original form when Rama severs his arms.

Don't need an optic when you got a good old fashioned mark 1 Cyclopes eyeballs.

>assume cyclops eyes are spherical like human eyes
>eye would fill the entire volume of that head
