Not yet, apparently.

Will he come back?

Best way to run bullogryns slabshields and mauls look so badass.

also, ground transport or Valkyrie?

Have Chapters gotten a higher limit than 1,000 Marines because of the Primaris influx? Plenty of Chapters were doing well beforehand and some must be over a 1,000 now because of Primaris Marines.

No, but companies can now have squads made out of five guys. Which gives you room for more squads. And reserve company squads can be absorbed into excisting companies per warzone or captains preference.

Why the fuck are there 3, 40k gens right now? jesus people.

Maul and Slab are best. If you want, mixing in a Bruteshield or two is pretty solid too.

3 Ways to run them in my opinion. Squad of 6 walking with an Astropath nearby to cast +1 saving through spell. 4 in a Chimera. Or 4 in a Valkyrie. When you run them in a Chimera/Valkyrie, have other units pushing forward too or have units deepstriking in. Multiple transports pushing forward supported by Conscript blobs, artillery and deep striking Scions gives them lots of targets to choose from.

My personal plan with my list is to have 4 in a Valkyrie fly up to dump off Bullgryn, Celestine double moving with faith, Eversor arriving, Inquisitor with Terminator Armor deepstriking and using Terrify to stop Overwatch, multiple squads of Scions deepstriking in then have all of them charge. Meanwhile Conscripts and other units rush up while artillery stays back.

If I play my Lord of Contagion as a Chaos Lord in Terminator Armor do I still get disgustingly resilient? I am using him to harass backline units after teleporting in.

A whole lot of them were below full strength given how much fucking bullshit spilled out of the Great Rift and the ensuing warp storms. A whole bunch of Chapters were wiped out entirely, though so far GW has only deigned to name the "literally who" Chapter of the Sky Sentinels as one such example.

Also a whole bunch were created to fill in the dead Fortress Monasteries of these dead Chapters, or formed into new Chapters in their own right.

Black Templars are back up to 6k+ strength, however, given recent re-retcons about their constant crusading fleets.

Still, a lot of original Chapters have organized their Primaris into 11-13th companies, though I'm not sure how Chapter organization goes for all-Primaris Chapters, consider Guilliman is revising his own book.

DEAL WITH IT NERD

*spread legs across bench and starts vibrating*

We must concentrate on sending in all soul grinders blazing. Get it together, chaos!

1000 Marines has always been more of a guideline than a strict rule. Consider the following example:

Chapter X sends out 5 Companies on Crusade but they never hear from them again. A thousand years pass and Chapter X has rebuilt and replaced all missing 500 marines and are now at full strength.

But wait! Because of warp shenanigans the original 500 finally return, for them only a couple of months have passed in the Warp.

So what does the Chapter do? Execute 500 marines to get to 1000?

1000 is the goal but the demands of war mean the number will always be in flux. It takes concerted number building to make the Inquisition nervous.

Source for 11th and 13th companies? Got the codex for info on new organization and it's disappointingly brief on the subject.

>Execute 500 marines to get to 1000?

HALFCIMATION

500 marines might be enough to found a new chapter.

Don't play with my heart like that user

10 tankbustas

It's mostly listed on their shoulderpads on the new markings.

Yeah, they're pretty brief on these new marines. We know that old Chapters have been organizing them into new companies, that Primaris have three extra geneseed organs, and that changes have been made to the Codex Astartes. But outside of that, there's no info on those changes. We have no idea what Cawl's new organs do, no info on how even new Primaris Chapters are organized, and no inkling as to what's changed about the Codex Astartes.

Will thy ever go back and make actual biker hq models? Or are gw moving away from bikes

I believe those are new squad markings not company.

Post your fully painted armies

You do have a fully painted army, right?

Who knows, they might come up with Primaris Jetbikes for all we know.

Ive actually got an idea where a 3rd founding UM chapter sends out most of the chapter on crusade where they get lost in the warp for thousands of years.

When they return their chapter has gone full Mortificators/codex divergent. Out of disgust the original crusaders spin off to found their own chapter.

Asking a follow-up question:
Would the (inevitable) next Loyalist Primarch GW releases like El'Jonsen or Russ tell the Chapters to try to grow into Legions?

leave chaos to me

>he actually plays 40k

I dont think theyre going to release any more loyalist primarchs. theyve build guilliman up to being the big saviour and any others would just steal his limelight

>orks
doesnt really count, does it?

DEAD SHOT HEAD SHOT OH MY GOD AM I CRAZY

When they said he was black, they meant "like the void," not like Africans.

Still have ton of shit unbox and yet I can't stop buying.
Send halp !!

How does that not count

if anything it counts more because youve got to paint like 10 times the models

>Black Templars are back up to 6k+ strength, however, given recent re-retcons about their constant crusading fleets.
aww yeah

You are worse than Hitler.

Cost increase for GK terminators. Can someone sell me on them?

they don't really count as an army

>bobby G looking around like he just realized he's fighting with the wrong chapter

New organs were in the codex.

Ah, there they are.

I didn't know they were Ecuadorian, though.

Old Thread:

...

so will it be him, russ, or the lion who saves Guilliman from getting his bootyhole ravaged on Konor?

>they don't really count as an army
Retard

I have a lot of random pieces I added the past few months, but someday I will post all that I currently have painted, which is enough for an army.

fuck off you /pol/shit retard

Breaking news about the chaos codex, on page 29 it says the most experienced of the alpha legion are specialists in the arts of the infil-traitor.
Please laugh.

/pol/ is a board of peace

That makes sense, can't waste marines. I like chapters like the doom eagles, mortifactors, and death spectres. I say get to painting.

Could someone recommend me a simple and nice looking white/ice/snow base for my Wolves? I'm pretty new to painting and not all that great. I was kinda thinking of a plain white base with blue lines to represent cracks in the ice but I'm not sure

...

good lord..

Also GW's snow Technical Paint is pretty good for snow.

post proofs

Cute dog in a wall, don't get what you're trying to convey here.

Nulin Oil is your lord and savior. Someone will prolly hook you up with some tutorials good luck with your dudes guy!

If you can afford it GW makes a very nice artifical snow "paint" for basing. It's fairly foolproof. Just paint the top of your base white, slather this stuff on, and paint the rim black and you'll have a nice good looking snow base.

games-workshop.com/en-US/Texture-Valhallan-Blizzard-24ML

Don't do this, baking soda goes yellow over time, just use GW flock with this method.

lulz, go to the Warhammer 40k Lexicanum

wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Erebus

>tfw dirty phone poster

Easiest way to do a good snow base:
>buy snow flock, it's in almost every single hobby store
>mix snow flock, elmer's glue and a bit of water in a container til it's thick. The thicker the better but this is up to taste at this point. Use a stirring stick or brush you don't give a shit about.
>don't use all your flock at once, dipshit
>use said stirring stick/brush to spread the snow flock/glue mixture over the base, being as uneven and "natural" as you can.
>sprinkle some dried snow flock over the drying mixture - this is why I told you to hang onto it
End result should be close to pic related.

snow base guy here, thanks for all the advice

all my marines are already based, can I still get some texture into the base easily without swamping the minis? i was thinking maybe one of the gw textures then drybrushing them white and light grey then adding a bit of snow

>reading Dark Imperium
>it's a Varens chapter

Most people are worse than Hitler

Would it be too drastic to imagine that with the addiction of Primaris marines to First Founding chapters, that they could get permission to form new Chapters, drawn from the primaris and older Veterans? If Ultras, Fist, and DAngles are keeping in contact with their successors, others would follow suit right?

Heres hoping that (!)Legion days are back!

Yeah. it's easy to add GW texture to minis that are already glued down. If you get the finer grained paints, e.g. Armageddon Dust rather than Armageddon Dunes, you can apply it pretty thin around their feet.

sadly, it will probably never be fully painted

I painted better than this when I was 13.

How good are Scions compared to Veterans, point-for-point?

He's right though?

Its simple friend.

>the thousand marine limit only applies to regular astartes
>just file primaris as auxiliary forces
Boom instant legions of nu-sue marines.

Unfortunately not, although models with the DEATH GUARD will probably get Disgusting Resilient when the Codex drops.

I prefer to do it that way with bases, since as I go for a dried mud/desert look getting a few little specks of mud on legs and robe hems and stuff looks good, and you don't have the problem where you glue the mini to the texture thus making it fall off all the time.

Shhh shhh, he can't handle anything that threatens his egalitarian sensibilities. Let him screech in peace.

>4 superheavy tanks a knight and a marauder
for what purpose?

bully for you

One of my friends says that Power Levels are fine to use because they balance out in the long run and it's autistic to try to calculate every single pistol. My other friend says using points balances the game and is worth the extra time.

What do you guys think?

...

Power is better for friendly games imo. As a lorefag I'm not a fan of autistically counting every last piece of wargear. But my FLGS are matchedfags so I just have to play along.

>NOT fully painting your army
I feel dirty still that only half my shit is actually based.

I'll have closer pics in a second

I think you should use Power Levels with one friend and Points with the other.

Damn son sucks you gotta go back to school soon! How's middle school in 2017 anyway?

Sure Id use power levels if I were a dumb faggot
t. Not a dumb faggot

Points are worthwhile if you care about balance. If you're just playing for fun and aren't bothered about the occasional lopsided game that will crop up, power levels are faster and easier. It comes down to what you want.

I like you

DELDAR MASTER RACE

if you had to choose between term chaos lord and basic chaos lord with a jet pack, which would you use to harass backline units? I just need some distractions for typhus and the boys to get close enough for a charge

...

Not the guy who first asked, but I was thinking of snow bases for a force later. I'll have to get some of this shit.

Nice BEES user.

You'll get better eventually my dear autistic thickpaint friend. Try watching some of Duncan's videos, they help a lot.

I don't play or paint space wolves bb.

Which chapter has more marines, Black Templars or Dark Angels?

I remember both being rumored to have at least 5k.
