Charmspeak has a time limit, though, whereas Suggestions doesn't. Unless it's implied. Never gotten an answer on that.

I am developing mine in notepad out of laziness and spent all day today looking up photoshop textures and style templates while simultaneously catching up on my weebshit cartoons backlog.

I want to believe that this will be a cool piece of work, but sometimes I sit back and think about how autistic CYOAs as a medium can be.

So I missed the last couple threads, but I kind of feel like this ruined the CYOA. Even aside from what happens to Teresa, it doesn't really play very well into a lot of what was built in the first part. It almost feels like it renders most builds non-canon, plus I'm just not sure a CYOA plays very well "later on"

If by big-budget you mean unnecessarily heavy labor due to not being very skilled, then yes. Rise is finally getting done.

Photoshop is definitely the worst part of CYOAs.

For me, it's a matter of an icebreaker. When I'm at a blank state, I have no idea where to start and I find myself unable to do anything for days, even weeks. But when I start, I can pretty much keep going until I have a good enough design marked up to encompass the whole CYOA.

Also, I'm not sure if I ever posted this one before.

Well I've been sitting on my CYOA for 8 months at this point because of the difficulty of learning and finding time to learn photoshop.

Learning by doing, my friend. Play around with it, do some stuff, and you'll get better. Sit on your CYOA for eight months and nothing happens.

This I also highly, highly recommend you go out and do tutorials, like how to design a map or how to make metal-like text. Tutorials like these also often help you navigate the UI easier; I've had a lot of moments where I went "wow, I never knew that," and I still strongly believe that there's a lot for me to still learn.

Also, learn your keystrokes. Very important for any program.

Nothing wrong with this mindset. I'd actually encourage it, there's no reason for you to prioritize working on something you don't feel like doing over using your time for your leisure.

It does say that it works like Charmspeak except they believe they're doing it of their own free will. So unless it says otherwise, assume it functions as Charmspeak.

Well personally, my build was focused on making Magitech weaponry, I would have flattened the castle with a crystal enhanced Fuel-Air bomb dropped from a technologically upgraded zeppelin (or a regular bomber, if we could get that tech up and running fast enough). None of this shit would have happened.

So either my build is non-canon, or just irrelevant.

Reduce your scope and work with what you can, then. Don't try to make fancy designs, just go with what can be legible at least. Honestly, it's better to have a plain CYOA than a shit-looking one, and it's better to come out with something rather than nothing.
