anyway, are there any characters in starfinder that use pistols? pistols seem super weak. seems like almost every character shoudl pick up longarms.

operatives are OP and they use pistols. a dedicated spellcaster mystic would probably use pistols, no need for longarm prof if you're not a shooter.
