Do Pathfinder players /actually/ have brain damage?

Do Pathfinder players /actually/ have brain damage?

Yed

Yes. Also, Pathfinder 2.0? What?

Yes. Pathfinder players are the stupidest grognards to walk the Earth. Unable to give up their precious Caster Edition, they latched onto Paizo as their preferred gaming company, and they've been shilling their chosen purveyor of autismal furfaggotry ever since. You might ask why. Why play Pathfinder when 4e and 5e exist? 4e is a divergence from 3e D&D, but it has interesting combat. 5e is close enough to D&D 3e but passably balanced that it stands as the natural evolution of the system. Pathfinder's rules bloat alone should disqualify it from being considered a playable RPG, but the fat neckbeards masturbating over their DPR and character builds and tit-dicked kitsune waifus refuse to try anything but their particular brand of shit.

Why? Because they are the worst form of "roleplayers": magical realm fetishists and rules lawyers whose idea of a fun game is stacking up numbers like they're fighting a WoW boss. Add in obesity and social awkwardness and caster supremacy to taste.

>Why play Pathfinder when 4e and 5e exist?
alchemist is the GOAT D&D class

>4rries STILL buttmad

Man, you guys really need to give it a rest already. All this butthurt can't be healthy.

Yes.
Example
So they released a couple of years a new class, Bloodrager, a 4th spell level caster (like Paladin and Ranger) mix of barb and sorcerer. Well, this fucker has Caster Level equal to his level, while his brothers have Caster level equal to his level -3, why? they're exactly the same frame, a martial (d10 HPs, full BaB) with 4th spell level casting, but bloodrager is just better. Go to paizoblog, ask why and expect being banned, and everybody will reply "I don't see anything wrong, why? I don't have to give you explanations".

Cherry-picked screenshots do not a fanbase make.

Go to paizoblog, if you survive the multiple aneurism you'll get come here and share your opinion if their fanbase on average isn't shit.

I specially recommend you to read some of the dev's posts, those are priceless.

Could be because those classes' defining stats are diametrically opposed. Barbs usually dump CHA, Sorcs tend to dump STR. I dunno. If I wanted to play a tribal warrior-shaman I'd just multiclass, anyway.

Not defending shitfinder, but the bloodrager is a very fun class to play, which is probably why they don't find any problem with it.

Also, bloodragers get a sorcer's bloodline, who's bloodline abilities come in every 4 levels, to replace rage powers which come in every 2.
You can trade in your bloodline ability for the level for 2 rage powers, so you're not giving them up at all.
You trade a d12 for d10 and lose barbarian DR and evasion, all for spellcasting, the choice of good bloodline abilities(like abbarent giving you 10ft reach) and the ability to autocast enlarge person as you enter a rage.
It's Rogue vs Vivisectionist/Investigator all over again.

Go to the Starfinder General on their forums and behold the top 10 threads; either bitching about the rules or relishing the opportunity to "Queer up" the game.

No, I have soul damage. Far worse. At least if I had brain damage, the pain would go away.

But it's all my group knows.

Only obnoxious people post on online forums anyway. No shit you're going to find obnoxious people if you specifically spend time looking for them. You know why you don't find fans like me on paizoblog? Because I'm not the kind of douche who posts on paizoblog. I'm far from the only one.

Take a walk outside sometime. Talk to people in real life.

That still doesn't explain why Paladin's and Ranger's caster level wasn't rise to fit Bloodrager's neither why everybody is ok with them (Pal and ranger) being below

Why play any other RPG when GURPS exists?

>They release an errata that makes monk with weapons useless because you can only make one attack with an specific weapon as a monk (so even if you have 7 attacks, you can only make one with that weapon)
>Ask why
>Banned
And never bother returning to that shit, sure, I can't get official answers about game questions but I don't care

Because my players have enough fun with our current systems that they're satisfied. Why risk ruining new ones for them?

This is the only correct answer.

Well it's a cooperative game so balance doesn't matter obviously.

Why do pathfinder fans feel the need to use this term? Your general is filled with anthro and monstergirl OP pics, and your playerbase loves weeb-styled monster races, furries, and so on.
It's like trying to offend someone by saying they look like yourself

>invalidate
Why don't they just not play 2.0?

Why would anyone do this?

Meanwhile in 5e they made it so that any 1-handed simple melee weapon can be a Monk weapon, so I can be a Monk who uses a guandao or a quarterstaff and apply all my monk features to it.

The only reason it isn't true for ranger and paladin as well is because Wisdom is tied to Will saves and Charisma is tied to Shit All

Stockholm Syndrome. The few outliers trying to defend their choice to stay in their homes instead of evacuating - because it's home, and it's all they know, and they don't want to risk failing to fit in elsewhere.

Those three classes fit the same mechanical role, martial with 4th casting level, they should be equal in structure (in reality they aren't bloodrager is so much better not only they have bloodline which is powerful as fuck, arcane for example, their spell list is also way better, and add the full CL we were talking about and is just silly)

There are some good archetypes for both. Bloodrager only has like 1 or 2 worthwhile.

1. Is 4th level caster, you will only need 14 Cha to be honest
2. No, is way better than MCing, srly, Bloodrager is the best 1/4 caster by far.
3. Bloodragers get +2 to Will saves when they bloodrage, you can even get +1/3 your level extra on top of that to all saves if you aren't dumb. So no, the "they have worse Will save" isn't an excuse because they don't have worse Will save

It's just a pun don't over-analyse it.

Primalist and Spelleater are pretty awesome, I played a Bloodrager with Fast healing 6 at 2nd level thanks to Spelleater.

Don't single out Pathfinder like that. Whenever a tabletop company makes a good decision, a lot of people get really mad and claim they will boycott them

Didn't mean to excuse it, just saying 'the only reason why martials don't dump Wisdom is because Will saves' and that otherwise the same logic holds true with Paladins and Rangers vs Clerics and Druids.

Spelleater is not worth it imo. Primalist is just default.

I like the Blood Conduit a lot, it's basically Magus light.

I ain't even a pathfinder fan and I know how mad it makes you 4rries to get called out.

Look at you getting all defensive. If you keep getting this angry, you might die.

I've never seen anyone boycott GURPS and it is a book of good decisions

I never played 4e. I play runequest and 5e.
It just strikes me as an idiotic insult.

>Spelleater is not worth it
You lose absolutely nothing and get fast healing and if you play it right you can get up to fast healing 15 or even more, like I said, my 2nd level bloodrager had FH 6, that's 6 HPs back per turn, even when unconscious if you have Raging Vitality

Anything of d&d fame is worth playing

I thank it for giving me other ttrpgs but i have really hated my time with it

>"The fanbase isn't obnoxious! This evidence of the fanbase being obnoxious doesn't count! No, YOU don't have a life!"

I guess.

Gave them another read. Urban Bloodrager didn't exist when I checked last time, and it is quite ridiculous. Bard has some incredible spells like Dance of a Thousand cuts... combined with full BAB+Rage? That's going to get nasty.

>Why play Pathfinder when 4e and 5e exist?
Why play D&D and it's variants in the first place when good systems exist?

Hard to boycott something you can't even find in your local FLGS anymore.

>Blood Conduit
It has a small problem though, you're a 4th level caster, you have very very very few spells, no cantrips and up to 4th level

"No players" is about the worst trait a system can have.

>Thousand
Try Hundred, Thousand cuts is 6th level spell

If I had a choice between playing 4e, 5e or 3.PF and not playing at all, I'd just not play. Not a chance in hell I'd go back to D&D after playing non-broken systems.

And what, learn actual sports? Surely you don't think you'd have what it takes. Why else would you be here?

>he thinks Dark Heresy is non-broken

lmao

"D&D players is one of the worst qualities a game could have."

Just introduce your normie friends to your obscure game, that way they have a quality time and you get to play with people untouched by the darkness that is d&d

He's actually just a bitter contrarian here to be a little bitch.

Because those who boycott stuff are either or adults who never grew up emotionally. GURPS is a very mature game and it's also not simple (yes, I know lite versions exist, but that's not really GURPS nor very playable outside simple one-shots) enough for kids to play.

Why would you make that assumption?

>>How dare Wizards rotate Standard/Print strictly better cards/remove the core set, if they invalidate my collection I'll stop buying cards forever.
>>How dare GW release a new edition of 40k/release a new codex
>>How dare blizzard release a new expansion, if they invalidate my gear I'm quitting the game

I don't understand. Releasing a new edition doesn't invalidate your previous edition's collection, there's still people who play AD&D, 3.5, and 4E now even though 5E is out. It's also not like you were guaranteed a permanent, non-depreciable asset when you bought your million fucking splatbooks.

I think pathfinder is trash and paizo are a shitty company but is releasing a new edition really where these people draw the line in the sand? Do they just want an endlessly growing pile of trash options and thousands of splatbooks to be churned out until the end of time? That's not sustainable and just compounds the already horrific bloat the system is under.

Such as?
(This is where people fall quiet as they can't actually suggest an alternative that itself doesn't have flaws )

The fanbase and the devs are a lot alike, in that sense -- one of the devs denied that caster supremacy exists, and then in the same sentence, said that caster supremacy is Pathfinder's balance working as intended.

It would seem that is exactly what they want.
Why fix what's horribly broken when you can just bury it under a pile of more stuff?
It's not like anybody's going to be confused by the millions of feats and spells all over the place, or why there's multiple versions of the same classes in different books (and which you're talking about), it's all easy to parse out and know where it all is and what you want and what's not a total waste.

He didn't say flawless systems he said good systems, implying that D&D is not a good system. Which in the case of 3.PF is true enough.

>muh opinion

Man, you 4rries really need to get over yourselves already.

>"Pathfinder is like chess because the rules were refined over a long period of time"
Pathfinder is probably the polar opposite of chess with broken rules, tons of unnecessary bloat, and for every 'fix' a new book adds it usually opens up 20x more broken rules.

These people are mad because they spent years mastering an inherently broken system, and they refuse to accept any proposal to update and upgrade to something better because the Pathfinder community is a bubble that has convinced itself that 3.PF is a perfect system.

Savage Worlds
Legends of Wulin
Warhammer FRPG
Lo5R

For example

How new are you? We have threads about D&D alternatives every week.

Gurps

Literally has no glaring flaws.

And you only need to buy two books to play it.

M&M 3e which arguably does d&d better than d&d despite being a superheroes game

What about the GURPS fanbase?

4e can be playble, but 5e and 3.PF are lost causes.

>I don't understand. Releasing a new edition doesn't invalidate your previous edition's collection
It does in case of blizzard, releasing patches makes your old equipment shit, or getting nerfed or simply getting removed, etc and is retroactive and you can't do shit if you want to play the game because it gets installed you want it or not

This is what happens when we have entire generation who grew up on AD&D and 3e. Didn't help that there were many computer games based on them which further encouraged "character optimisation" and "waifu" mindset over roleplaying.

Releasing a new edition splits the community and (all but) guarantees no further support for the old edition. Plus it may well change the things that made you like the game in the first place. Not saying a company should never make a second edition of anything, ever, but there are sometimes reasons to oppose it. For example, I'm glad Wizards brought out D&D 5e, but I think Dark Heresy 2e was a mistake.

>What about the GURPS fanbase?
>fanbase
Ok, GURPS has one flaw

Far far better than the d&d and pf fan base. And most are really nice.

But judging a thing by its fans would me that I would have never played undertale or watched SU

Has it also corrupted your group into unknowingly hating fun? I know this pain, rules as written Fails when the rules are written poorly

But none of the suggestions are ever actually any good.

It's like you guys just google "RPG" and pick anything that isn't D&D.

This is bait

You seriously wouldn't play 4e or 5e just because it's not a perfectly balanced system? Sure, it's not perfect, but it's still functional and there's a lot less rules bloat.

I hope you're a GM, because it's pretty hard for a player to be so picky.

>It's like you guys just google "RPG" and pick anything that isn't D&D.
Considering that D&D is on the lower end of the TTRPG quality spectrum, that's not actually a bad way to find a game better than it.

This whole thread is bait.

No, they don't have brain damage.

Most pathfinder players have been mentally deficient from birth.

>the contrarian speaks

Amazing. You're really as bad as everyone says you are.

Not him but it is easy to be picky about a game. It is not like I can't do other things while keeping an eye out for a game I actually want to play. I'd just as soon stay home and play vidya or watch Netflix than play a game I don't really want to play.

40 year old neckbeards who love beer, read actual sci-fi/fantasy, know their history and also mature enough to have grown out of social/sexual insecurities younger neckbeards have. Often they're also friendly to new players because what GURPS lacks is those.

>Not liking D&D on Veeky Forums
>Contrarian
Where do you think you are?

Please, You and your handful of trolls really are nothing compared to the constant D&D threads and generals.

Do you know where you are?

Basically this RPGs are not the only way to pass time. If you had the choice of watching a shitty movie and doing something else, what would you do?

This is a D&D board. You might not like it, and that might be why you're constantly upset, but you're really shit out of luck if you want to go anywhere where RPGs are discussed and to not find a majority of people to be playing some form of D&D.

The only blessing you have here is that you don't get instantly banned for shitposting like you do.

It's you again. The "People who don't like D&D are trolls" guy. How have you been man? Still shit posting like in the old days?

Not liking D&D is one thing.

Constantly shitposting about how much you hate it is what makes you a troll.

>oh no, someone is calling trolls in a troll thread trolls!

Gasp.
Perchance you think you were cleverly disguised?

I dunno man. Whe did they even switch to PF from 3.5 in the first place, if they liked it so much? I'll never get these people.

>I ain't even a pathfinder fan
Sure.

Hey, are you the "D&D is garbage" troll? The guy who really just can't accept that D&D isn't really as terrible as he imagines it to be, and that his opinion is that of a small minority of role players?

The guy who can't stop making threads to show off how upset he is all the time that people are enjoying a game he hates?

Are you that guy?
You sound like that troll.

Not really, but it has given me a minor tendency to overcompensate for our resident system master.

I can already feel the void consuming me.

Oh look, it's eternally triggered bitch user.

What these people want is endless bloat of new character classes and races for them to optimize because that's their definition of fun.

That's a funny way of trying to justify 5e's lack of content and overall blandness. 4e actually had a balanced game AND plenty of content.

We'll they're basically 80% furries and 20% lolicon-viewing pedos, so I think we all know the answer.

...okay? Where did he say anything about 5e?

So if someone runs it tell them they're going to have Caster level -3? Most of the really stupid shit can be fixed this way.

Pathfags are subhuman, we've been through this.

>play before 7 or 8 isn't much fun because not enough spells

It definitely wasn't fun afterwards when I realized how easy it was to Sorcerer

>balanced game
There's the problem. 3.Pfags don't want balance. They want to break and exploit the system by creating overpowered ridiculous characters.

I personally blame videogames like Baldur's Gate for turning kids into that shit because they teach you to optimize and exploit with pretty much zero roleplaying.

When every /pfg/ thread's image is either a furry, a loli, or a furry loli, and literally no part of the community objects, there's no more proof needed.

Take a long hard look at yourself user, if your WW2 veteran great grandfather knew the porn you watched, do you think he would be proud?
