The last world I visited I defeated the dark lord as a warrior of love and justice. This world was a rather rude awakening. Honestly I hate worlds like this. So many people dying, The bad guys aren’t all bad yet are perfectly willing to kill you. To be fair if ever there was a world that needed a warrior of love and justice it was this one.

I managed to befriend Nier on his quest to cure his daughter of the black scrawl. I tried to cure it with my magic discretely but apparently it’s a plot disease. I also got to make friends with Kainé, Weiss, and Emil as did my companions

We traveled around fighting Shades and collecting sealed verses. As we fought the shades I became more and more concerned that the Shades were sentient. Sadly when we encountered them they weren’t exactly in a mood to talk. I brought the idea of trying to capture one and talk to it up to Nier… yeah he just gave me a look. I tried to explain that they might be able to help us find the sealed verses but he put a refused that Idea.

We found to sealed verses, then The Shades attacked the village. we managed to defeat a huge regenerating shade. Still that didn’t stop the shadowlord from stealing Yonah.

It took us a while to find the Shadowlord’s castle, we seemed to be led through it by the nose honestly. I had pretty well puzzled things out by then.

I was sadly proven correct about sentient shades and even found out some of them didn’t want to fight. With Herculean effort I managed to keep Nier and Kainé from slaughtering a village of shades. It was a shocker to find out they weren’t all bad. We also found out the location of the shadowlord.

That’s where we learned that the true humans were the shades and the replicants were bodies that they created and we had been lead around by our noses the whole time… So I made the shadowlord an offer he couldn’t refuse and pissed off both Nier and Kainé who I thought I might wind up fighting.

I explained I could create bodies without minds or souls and transfer the shades in to them if they would agree to leave the replicants alone. For Nier anything other than slaughtering the Shadowlord was unacceptable. Through nothing less than a minor miracle (mainly getting Nier his daughter back and cured) I was able to get both sides to agree.

I would love to say everyone lived happily ever after but things became a tense truce and something Akin to a cold war. Nier I think still harbors a bit of a grudge and I managed to use my save file to save Kainé. So I guess that’s a success? I need a vacation.

...That is actually kinda difficult to decide.

Would probably go Touhou Project and by that I mean Forbidden Scrollery followed by Madoka Magica Wraith Timeline, with Dragonball Multiverse to cap things off. Hey, it's not like I'd get to keep the Chain going even if I managed to win the tourney, right?

I forgot how boring the other villages in Naruto are. I remember Wave and the Chunin Exam making it seem like each village was super different in terms of techniques, abilities, attitudes, etc. but then post time skip it turned out they were all the same other than a few bloodlines.

I would do them in the order of Overlord, Generic Isekai and The Gamer. The Gamer has massive power creep so having skill in grinding will do a lot of good and Overlord provides a nice power base.

Looking to start a new chain. Done a variety of things as first jumps, including Hero BBS and Generic Isekai and I want to change it up a little. Any good first jumps that tend to fly under the radar?

I don't find it too bad personally (If someone copied mine I don't think I'd notice or mind), there's only so many good variations of formatting after all, so it depends really.

I prefer The Gamer first mostly for role play reasons (and is essentially the start of my current chain anyways, except Isekai is much further from the other two). Just imagine inviting Ainz to a party. The look of his face would be priceless if he could have visible emotions

Marvel Magic, Hero BBS... and I'm not sure what else? Between the tech and magic of both settings, there's enough versatility to achieve any desire or solve nearly any problem in time. I thinking either Generic Universal Monsters or Injustice.The former because Weight of Ages is great, the latter so I have fiated parallel worlds to explore.

Basically I am wondering if copying Softanon's dividing line between sections is ok or if it's frowned upon. Kyubey supposedly can't feel annoyance, so it might not effect him as much as you'd hope for. That said, he'd probably be extremely confused, which alone is worth it. Imagine Kyubey trying to figure out how Excalibur works...?

Actually, Kyubeys who feel emotions are, according to Kyubey, considered to have some form of mental illness... which could also be interpreted as a form of madness. And Excalibur IS an Old One, who radiates Madness...

I thought Hidden Rain was pretty neat, though, for what little we saw of it. Everyone there has really been indoctrinated to the idea that Pein is "God", and Konan is his "Angel". It's a pretty interesting dystopia.

Depending on what you want to do, Generic Video Game Developer provides a moderate tech base with some good abilities shill, PS238 is good for superpowers in a kid friendly environment, and Disney Princess to live a musical and is decent for hero/sidekick stuff

Just remember that, if you want to attend UA and get involved in the plot, you're going to need to pass the entrance exam and get into the hero course. There's both a standard written test, which will be crazy competitive since it's one of/the top high school in the country, and a practical exam where you have to fight robots, something which might not mesh with your quirk.

It might be a bit harder to avoid that if you're a Hero or a Villain. You'll probably be expected to be combat capable to some degree even if you have a more support-class quirk.

Students could avoid a lot, but not all, of the issues by not attending UA, since the amount of danger Class A faces is way outside the norm.
