Interesting objects that favor flavor or fun more than a +1 sword.

Great club of detect evil: Hit on the head of the subject, it will bounce like if it was made of foam if it detects evilness, if not it hits like a normal club

Ring of current: once per day you can pour enough pure water from the ring to fill a waterskin, you feel a slight dehidration.

I'd had that the stronger the hit, the more accurate the detection.

Copper and amber necklace with fat Buddha smiling and spitting fire. Every 12 hours on the hour no exceptions, the wearer vomits a good sized fireball.

I remember the House Seed. Had it saved before my computer blew up, it had some awesome art related as well.
Basically you plant it on the ground and depending on what you use to water it on the following month, it'll have a set of bedrooms and stuff like that. Pretty /comfy/, maybe a bit too much, but a good way to bid farewell to a campaign

Gauntlet of the doomed: once equiped it can't be removed until the creature dies and each of the 3 rings with symbols start rotating at diferent speeds, from inspection you can tell each ring represents years, days and hours on a countdown, on undead creatures like vampires the count goes up, additionaly it itches very hard

Vorvadron's cruel helmet - the helmet is cursed and cannot be removed, it uses moving blades to slowly scalp the person who wears it, and though it uses moving parts, it is powered by magic.

Vorvadron's Atrocious Gauntlet - Similar to the Cruel helmet, it stabs the hand of the wearer then seeps blood out the fingertips until the wearer is dead, after it is locked and its blades have dug in, it can't be removed short of amputation.

Vorvadron's Barbaric Breastplate - A breastplate that, once locked in place, stabs the wearer in the gut and then slowly tugs out all of the wearers organs with surgical blade moving-parts.

Ring of the octopus - Wear this to polymorph into an octopus during any swimming attempt, gaining swim during octopus state if you do not have that skill.

Hag's wretched broom - Fly like a flying broom, but also the broom sheds clouds of wretched filthy dust if something is pursuing you. The dust is about as harmful as a smoke bomb.

Flask of overflowing ooze - Each drop of the flask immediately becomes a full grown gelatinous cube if poured onto the ground.


Plow of sharing - If the owner truly intends to share the harvest with others, the harvest is magically twice as big, if not, the harvest is completely barren.

Amulet of the walrus - Become a walrus during any swim attempt, having tusks capable of fighting and having swim if you don't have it otherwise.

Cursed book of ignorance - The user forgets any spells or information written in the book, which changes to a language the user doesn't speak any time they try to read it.

Greater perfume of the succubus - Gives a woman a charisma score similar to what a succubus would have, a woman who wears it more than 7 times changes into a succubus irreversibly over the course of 7 weeks.

Parachuting Pants - A set of trousers the legs of which become two mini hot air balloons during any deadly fall, safely floating the wearer slowly downward.

Flask of Ooze makes a fantastic weapon to use on enemy bases.

Agreed, but just to be absolutely clear; the user doesn't control the gelatinous cubes, they simply appear and begin to do what they do.

Emblem of the Hog - If you are near death, regain half your HP and transform into a gigantic boar (or sow) for the remainder of battle, returning to normal after you win or escape.

Celestial Bishop's scarf - Radiate holiness, light, goodness and sanctity out to level-number feet.

Magic figurine - Summon a Halfling knight, an elf archer, 3 human warriors, a giantess paladin, a dwarf merchant, a camel, a horse, an elephant, or a ship, by placing the figurine on the ground and saying "take shape, I need you." In the case of the ship simply toss it in a water body and it will become a ship.

Amulet of utter destruction - If the phrase on the back of the amulet is read, it detonates in an annihilation explosion similar to a nuclear detonation.

Scythe of deathblows - Critical hits become significantly more common.

Cursed weapon of deathblows - deathblows by you against someone, and against you by someone, are twice as common.

Enealbo's fabulous razor - Shaves the user with extreme skill and precision when the user stands still and says, "Enealbo, shave me."

Scasvadok's tongue - used by attaching it to the nub of a cut-off tongue, speak draconic, demonic, breath cloud-kill gas in a breath weapon stream once per day, and gradually transform into a dragon.

Amulet of Iuz the oozing - Become an ooze being for a short time during any attempt to escape bindings, escape imprisonment, or escape a grapple.

Corset of beauty - A woman-wearer very slowly becomes more beautiful, slowly steadily gaining charisma until she reaches the maximum natural beauty possible for her.

Handblade signet: while wearing this ring your unarmed attacks with the open hand emulating a blade do as much damage as a sword and can cut as a sword. it can't be removed except by cutting the finger.

Map of tracking: Look slike a empty patchment but when it is opened it draws itself in lines and patterns resembling the walls, doors and features of the instance 50ft around of the person holding it, it doesn't draw space that the person holding it can't see and the drawings stay on the patchment and move as the person moves.

Repulsive Vest - Lightweight leather vest that redirects projectiles away from the wearer and negates magic but, also melts any metal it touches into molten goop. Can't be worn with many armours.

Skyfall shield - A shield specifically enchanted to block attacks from below. Attacks blocked from below are guarded perfectly, projectiles blocked from below are reflected. The shield is weighted to make it awkwardand sluggish to hold horizontally, and can actually hurt you if used to block strikes from above.

Blade of march - A unreasonably heavy and somewhat blunt cursed dagger. Any living enemy cut three times with this weapon is cursed; the fourth cut is always fatal. Sharpening the weapon shaves away the blade yet, makes it heavier. When the blade is gone, the hilt will weight 500 pounds.

Hammer of Adjustment - A hammer enchanted for mining and construction. The hammer itself does no damage and can't even flatten a cake, anything hit by it is propelled with force equivalent to how hard the hammer is swung. Anything propelled is also invincible until it lands or moves enough mid-flight.

Cold ring - When worn on a finger, wherever that finger touches will spawn a slow-creeping chill. If you touch a cup of water, the water will freeze in 1 hour. If you touch a lake, the lake will freeze in 1 year. The enchantment can only work on one thing at a time, and is dissapated if the ring is taken off or, if the ring's finger is cut off. Gloves or completely covering the wearer's hand with something will not activate the ring's enchantment.

Shallowsong - Expensive and cursed glass rapier. The tip and a bit of the area beneath it is stronger than diamond though, the rest of the blade won't block more than a dozen strikes. The wielder will feel a bloodlust that grows stronger the longer they hold it unsheathed.

Sounds like an Azath house.

Gauntlet of Instant Friendship - A lightweight metallic gauntlet. The user may, succeeding on a contest of charisma checks, compel another humanoid creature to grasp the hand encased in the gauntlet. Humanoid creature can break free on a successful victory in a another charisma contest. Humanoid affected doesn’t change its opinion of you.

Ring of Sucker Punch - A golden ring inlaid with a ruby that has been carved in the shape of a fist. Causes the wearer to automatically punch the nearest creature (friend or foe) that is not itself as a bonus action. Standard rolls apply.

Poppero’s Pop-Up Book of Placement - A child’s pop-up book ingrained with powerful illusory magic. Once per day the user may open to a page in the book and the pop-up image will sprout from the book and manifest in reality. (Child-sized cottage, storm cloud, duck, tree, monster mouth)

Copping Cup - An unremarkable wooden cup. Any object that is placed within the cup is instantly transferred to the owner’s pocket.

I would play it.

Could this be used like the hand in hellboy? As a key?

Deck of a thing: magic deck that can replicate one item per card once declared [chance to contain curses, like a deck of many things]. You could play with corruption, the thing losing its definition; a stick becomes a staff, becomes a sentient tree, etc.

The first draw is a given that it will be that thing, but so on it's a risk.

Conduit dagger - gets stuck in any target it hits. While it's stuck in the target, user bypasses any spell resistance (or similar spell defense in non-D&D) target may have.
Can be removed with a strength check.

This would be pretty useful if you could force other people to use it. Especially in a desert or somewhere else water's scarce.
Water Vampirism, essentially

"a door closes, a window opens": any time this key is used on a door it locks it and can't be opened again, if the closed instance has another way of entering like a window it opens inmediately.
