Game is set on the edge of a great desert, is more serious than not, more roleplay than combat, where power and resources are scarce and creativity is encouraged.
Game started almost a dozen sessions ago and already has several players, but due to one bowing out there is now space.
Previous experience unnecessary.

Looking for something based around politics and intrigue really. Command and conquest also sounds pretty damn fun but I wouldn't say no to just a bog standard adventuring party.

Honestly I'm expecting a specific system at a specific time as a player, I'm not expecting to get a bite here.
I've only got one evening free reliably a week and I've been reading the MnM book and have a terrible itch to punch some evil in it. I GM a lot, but I really don't like being GM as an intro to a system.
I don't flake, and if I've gotta split I give as much notice as I can. I've been GMing round these parts for maybe 3 years now. HMU.
No I'm not interested in a 'lewd game' you fucking virgin.

I run a few different games, a capes game, a fantasy dungeon crawl, a supernatural investigation game, a horror/investigative game. When I run any given game is a crap shoot. So if you're only interested in one of them I'm not sure this is for you.
Things I don't tolerate:
Arguing with the GM during the game (being bring it up after, not during, it wastes everyone's time And is rude to everyone)
I dont expect you to memorize the book, infact, don't do this.(I run some rules different from the books and will share these with you.) But I do absolutely expect you to know what your character can do.
Lewd Super hero game!

This is a low-lewd capes game. Pitch:
Mutants: Unlike the visionary XMen comics the mutants were not wholescale rejected by the world. With a surge of metahumans in Britain the small country was suddenly elevated to odd new heights in the political sphere.
This came with the responsibility with creation of a school for mutants. While some were opposed in America and Russia, the European countries banded together to protect their new mutants.
However with the inability to control their new students, the school community became one of being able to satisfy the troublemakers and self-policing. Some abused their position for wealth and whores. While those who came in droves to try and get mutant in their family came to inhabit the nearby cities, desperate to see even a fleck of a mutant.
This, along with the emerging puberty, decaying taboos and morality of those at the school has led to the school becoming filled with decadence. As players it'd be your decision whether to join the ring that wishes to try and control the school or fight against it and teach those there how to be true heroes.
That's what I'd consider low-lewd out of the premises. If someone wanted more of a conventional silver comic book age game then it'd likely take more of a monster of the week format with busty/hung side-kicks and an emerging harem of converted villains/villainesses with a healthy cast of fuckbois and girls at the sidelines.
That gif makes me irrationally angry.

Why the everloving fuck are you playing Hackmaster? That game's only purpose is being a massive munchkin and taking the absolute piss out of the game which I kinda dig
I think that's more HM4 than HM5.
Well this looks mildly intresting
Have you considered Mutants and Masterminds?
Also is there at least some general time for this?
I'm free on Saturday and Sunday Evenings, GMT +2 but this may not work with US time zones.
I've played a LOT of HM5, and it's still really fucking dumb a lot of the time. Half the spells are jokes, a lot of the writing is pretentious (in the sense of the writers acting snooty when really they're just not really aware of why they're completely wrong or stupid), it's super imbalanced in a lot of ways, the skills have the most idiotic cost decisions possible, the EP scheme relies on constant combat to work unless you want your mage to be a physical god or you want your players to spend years of real-time to level up, the writing is super ambiguous at times and the rules are often contradictory (especially when bringing in the GMG) or just plain don't explain something at all.
It's also incredibly swingy, leading to random fumbles or crits ruining everything about half of any given combat.
It's fun when not taken seriously, but unless you houserule a shitton, I can't see how it works for a serious, grounded and combat-light campaign.
Jump in, time TBD.

The apocalypse is soon to arrive, and the Horsemen will cometh.
Not all of Humanity is willing to roll over and die, and so they constructed heretical forces to fight back against the monsters, called 'Nephilim' after the giants of old. If they succeed, they might very well halt their progress and enable the world to carry on.
Are they truly -the- horsemen? That does not matter either way - what matters is the destruction they bring.

As the setting info suggests, this is intended to have a dark tone. I am utilizing a few extra systems in BCZ to help emphasize the idea of it being a desperate struggle. Think along the lines of, well, AdEva.
Recruitment ends after September 20th, or if I get 4 players I like before then. The game itself will start on the 22nd or 29th. Overall pacing is planned to be approximately 6-10 episodes, depending upon how much RPing the players want to do.
Starting time was decided to be 7-10PM EST (depending on player availability week to week) on Saturdays.
That is a very late start.
>It's terrible, unbalanced, and stupid, but I've played a LOT of it
lol
Yeah because the system works for beer 'n pretzels-type gameplay where the munchkins try to break the system and the GM allows it once, before houseruling it away.
Some of that abuse is so ubiquitous, easy and effective that the GMG backpeddles and "fixes" it. See: disengaging and reengaging.
I enjoy it, because its flaws don't matter too much to me when playing OSR-style. But if I were playing a modern-style campaign, I'd be tired of that shit within the first three sessions I'd wager.
What's the system like? Absolutely never heard of it

This will be a brand new Star Trek Adventures campaign. It will be set vaguely within the setting outlined by the official Living Campaign. The first few sessions will utilize the pre-prepared adventures just to get everyone (including myself) acclimated to the system. After that, though, the Shackleton Expanse is your playground!
Your vessel is the USS Arcadia, a recently-refitted Nova-class. The year is 2371, a mere week after the USS Voyager has gone missing. All player characters will be new transfers to the Arcadia. More details to come if you're accepted into the campaign!
We might be talking about the same one. Been in the works for a few years now, right?

So you're running a dragonball fighterz game?
Just an interest check right now, maybe a game if of it gets rolling.
A power rangers type game. All players are going to have basically the same set of powers, weapons, and tech. They will each have their own unique weapon and ability as well as their own skill set. More or less a simple power rangers thing at first until the meta plot gets rolling.
I like the sound of this but the hours are terrible.

I /can/ make this a "west marches" style of game if need be, but those seem to not be in high demand. I just want to run games and have fun damnit
Setting PDF included here, incase anyone wanted to read through it before deciding to join. Game will be set in the American occupied city of Vancouver.
>those seem to not be in high demand
Is that true? Damn. I really wanted to run a D&D 5e West Marches game.
Texas being its own country is such a trope of this genre and always makes me laugh at how stupid it is.
Texas was annexed by communist Mexico in WW3, and then won its independence later. It literally has no other country to join at this point as America is fragmented.
May want to rethink that setting name friendo.
Also I thought West Marches was like the new hotness? Although it seems like a bookkeeping nightmare to me.
If you look at the foreward it states that I based the beginning of the timeline off of Twilight 2000. T2k's timeline stops and what I wrote after ends after the final NATO offensive in 2000.
>smashing cyberpunk into Twilight 2000
Man good luck to you.
It was more based off of changing 2300ad's timeline to be more near future and more dystopian.

Can I assume there was some Argy-bargy?
If time permits, I'm definitely in. That sounds amazing.
It's not so bad if you ignore all the conversation rooms and just use it as a place to mirror your gamefinder posts for players or games.
Which is, y'know, what it really ought to be for.
All the /pol/ shit is stuck in a /pol/ channel that you can set to mute so you don't even see if anyone has posted in it
People shitpost in the main channel constantly, as well. It's very easy to have a low opinion of the place. It's full of retards. All of the 'regulars' who enjoy talking there actively are le epik reddit memelord retards.
Fuck off. The only walking piles of /pol/ in there are my ass an fucking Kevin. And I worked hard for my meme tag.
And the only (known) Reddit is Doats.
Yes, surely this sort of thing, taking a name and defending your ego on Veeky Forums will convince people that it's a lovely community not full of a bunch of small-minded reddit faggots.
So it's a Veeky Forums chat.
What the fuck were you expecting?
Still seeking players for a Warcraft 5e game. See below.
How many players are you looking for?
Another one or two.
Just a quick interest check - if I were to post a full ad later, how many people here would be down for a standard high fantasy, dungeon crawling, BBEG smashing, high adventuring RPG campaign but in a setting where there are no males?
Just women and dickgirls.
It's basically just people being edgy or whiny in the general channel, with a bunch of spillover into general from the /pol/ channel.
The discord isn't very Veeky Forums related unfortunately. I was hoping for people discussing games, techniques for playing / running, systems, etc. but there's nothing of value there.
Hey as long as my big ducked futa orc can pound some asses between dungeons, I'm down.
But that's wrong.
What about traps. Traps are girls.
How magical realm are we talking here? Just a quirk of the setting, or is it full blown ERP?
There would be some fuckin'.

When did Gamefinder become WST
Whut. what game was this?
I'll only run an edition you don't know, with a tone you don't like, at a time you can't make.
>I'm a huge crybaby who'd rather bitch about others than run a game
>I'm a lonely virgin who has thrown in the towel in any attempts to get laid by relieving my urges with my equals
I wonder if reporting them would get them moved to /trash/
Same desu senpai.
I was toying with the idea of making one and actually enforcing Veeky Forums-related topical discussions, but I suspect it'd be like herding cats so I'm reluctant.
I'm starting to wonder if it isn't something we could get the moderation to crack down on.
I mean, they're inviting people for pretendsex on a blue board. I'm pretty sure that's gotta be against the rules, right? It seems like it should be against the rules if it isn't already.
>I don't get enough of what I want
>But these people who like things I want are getting it
>I should take this away from them
You two are the worst kind of people.
Why would it be against the rules?
Literally they're following the rules by doing it off of the blue board.
Partially true. Also might mean that the same GM's will run not-ERP games.
Knowing this imageboard and knowing Veeky Forums, I could see it becoming an epidemic in not much time at all. I don't want to reach the point where 1/3 posts are ERP groups.
There's a lot of precedent for it desu. I could see a mod making a point of deleting ERP posts if made aware.
It's not that bad at the moment, but every gamefinder seems to have more of that shit.
>Tfw group gets together for exalted 3e basically ERP game
>With the magical realms all out in the air and not totally repressed or some weird shit, everyone is actually relaxed and not even close to the level of autism in my normal games
>GM seems really into it, group working together making characters that'll go well together.
>"Alright guys, we'll start next week."
>Everyone really excited.
>GM never speaks again.
>Game dies.
Added you i think.
>Knowing this imageboard and knowing Veeky Forums, I could see it becoming an epidemic in not much time at all. I don't want to reach the point where 1/3 posts are ERP groups.
That's not your decision to make nor should you be attempting to control the board. Things are mercurial here and everything ebbs and flows.
When ERP games get large then they'll form their own ingroups where they'll GM for each other for a long while. In these periods ERP games will not be advertised, the games will become full and the ERP GMs will be GMing. Then when those splinter, break or fracture then more will be posted months or years later. That's how it works with all games.
Trying to shunt people out because of a temporary at best trend is not only silly but it alienates people. The more people you alienate the more people the board loses, the slower, more toxic and more dead it becomes and for a gaming thread such as this which is already an incredibly small community it's simply a bad idea to do that.
Let people be as people are. That's all you should do.
