Zero, unless you are optimizing for the most arguments or periods of soul crushing tedium per hour.
>zero
This. Unironically.
>mfw i still have flashbacks
4 players with a dedicated banker.
But you've gotta play with the actual rules. None of that "money on free parking" or "no auctions" bullshit.
8. Then the true politics game begins.
>Dedicated Banker
And I thought DMing was a thankless job
Any number of players, playing Pokémon Monopoly
you think money on free parking is bad? try adding Politics to Risk. THREE DAYS. three days of my life gone to a game played during the revision period of my school. I lost because I had to go to an exam and was left with the option of leaving my empire in the hands of a literal retard.
THIS.
Most people don't play Monopoly using the ACTUAL RULES. I've seen 5 player games last 45 minutes.
No 'money on Free parking" means players must mortgage properties sooner and go bankrupt faster, auctions mean all the properties are owned by at least three passes around the board, and mortgaged properties can be bought for the mortgages fee by players who land on them.
Also the number of houses/hotels is a strict limit. Once they're sold out, there are no more. I've seen players choose not upgrade to hotels because that would release 4 house for sale.
People who bitch about Monopoly have played the game correctly in their life.
>People who bitch about Monopoly have played the game correctly in their life.
Fucking fat fingers. That's supposed to read:
People who bitch about Monopoly have NEVER played the game correctly in their life.
>mortgaged properties can be bought for the mortgages fee by players who land on them.
Not accurate, but the sentiment of your post is spot on.
Forgive me. I haven't played in a long time, which is why I'd read the fucking rules again!
Many years ago on a business trip the hotel I was staying at hosted a Monopoly tournament. It was absolutely fascinating to watch.
Where did the 'money on parking'-meme come from? It's seems to be a world-wide phenomenon.
Zero. The only winning move is not to play.
From the Canadian Devil
Day of the rake when?
>day of the rake when
Never, Canada will off itself.
Along with the aussies.
our countries suck
Game is still boring as fuck even when played correctly. There are very few actual strategetic decisions to make.

-1.
All players play a better game while one guy of the group throws it in the trash.
Two, with the following extra equipment:
- a fire pit or barbecue
- a lighter
- a bag of marshmellows
- chairs, logs, or something to sit on
But what if it's windy or raining outside.
