Where can I find the Magnus Primarch novel?

here

Thank FBI.

Can't access it ?

with a little work, these would make excellent Thunder Warriors.

Any recommendation for a Terminator/Pride of the Legion army? I want a stubborn, in your face and refusing to back down army of a brick in the face.

>every new model can be a thunder warrior
Not really, they are big guys (4u) with a brutal aesthetic but they look nothing like thunder warriors. It would take more than a bit of work.

Imperial Fists maybe?

Their shield terminators are fucking tough

Hey, for a Sons of Horus force I've got 60 legionnares, 2 dreadnoughts, 5 cataphractii termies, 5 justaerin, and the abaddon/loken set. I've also got 70 militia and tanks and 4p scions.

For the purely marine force: is that a reasonable grouping? Effective? I'm basically wondering if it's something that will get curb stomped. 30k is NOT big in my area but with the fan made 8th edition I can play 40k too with it.

As for everything else, where are the militia rules? Is there a download for them? Are they any good using the "sacrificial" offering rite?

Unless you play zone mortalis, you're going to get stomped by artillery and phosphex spam

Just don't play against the arty fags and phosphex spammers. Find a group that plays fluffy games and scenarios.

Mechanicum>>>>>> Adeptus Mechanicus

They make excellent techno-barbarians.

trying to create a new general pic, I hate Paint, go ahead and laugh, but I dare you to find something better made by someone who haven't drawn in his life before

There are plenty general pics.
I belive this one needs update.

wanted to do a general pic themed for istvaan, with plenty of dead salamanders on the ground and one standing
if I have to keep up the general, I'd like to do it with my pics

Sons of Horus Combi-Plasma Vets are basically great.

Kastelan robits look about a hundred times better if you flip their goofy helmets over.

Just let it die already. We lost.

No one step back

Or get 3rd party.

Fucking baby ogryns.

IW

Never!

Don't worry, I brought tacos with me.

Sadly we are few here and thread are very slow, but we can't surrender.
How many points are WE chainaxes again?

Nothing gets the posts (and anger) flowing like Legion Tier Lists. Post yours today!

God-Tier: Thousand Sons

High-Tier: Sons of Horus, Iron Warriors, Space Wolves, World Eaters

Mid-Tier: Alpha Legion, Death Guard, Raven Guard, Night Lords, Ultramarines, Emperor's Children

Low-Tier: Iron Hands, Word Bearers, Salamanders, Imperial Fists

TBD: Dark Angels, Blood Angels, White Scars

...

What should I use to represent my lieutenants? I'm building a whole company according to this guide and I'm not sure what should represent three junior officers. I'm considering centurions, possibly the support officers, but I don't know how fluffy that would be.

Use vanilla centurion

i'd suggest they'd be damn near anything, looking to fluff you always see Captain > Sergeant when it comes to orders, ergo the lieutenant position on the FoC doesn't designate a line officer, more the specialists attached to that company; in modern 40k it's roughly the same, you wind up with a primary HQ (Captain) and then his random sidekicks (Librarian, Chappy, etc).

High
SoH, IF, AL, RG, WS, DA, TS, Talon, Mech, Cults

Mid
DG, EC, WE, IH, SL, IW, UM, SW, BA, Solar

Low
NL, WB, Blackshield, Militia

Balance feels alright desu. Outside Agamatus, Tribunes and Magnus, faction balance feels alright.
Internal is still wonky though.

But specialists are in their own bracked. Also, 40k marines do have lieutenants now. I'm sort of with , though using consuls to indicate their additional duties (like how in 40k company captains have duties, like master of the fleet, master of recruits, etc.) So, for example, 1st platoon lieutenant could also be the herald, carrying company colours. And if you have a recon company, a vigilator might make a good lieutenant for them.

I'm also making my dudes as a single company and have been pondering the same thing. I think I'm just making one of the sergeants as the lieutenant.

We shall know no fear!

some progress was made

You aren't raging against the dying of the light hard enough.

BS 5/5: Imperial Fists, Sons of Horus
BS 4/5: Dark Angels, Emperor's Children, Iron Warriors, White Scars, Space Wolves, Night Lords, Blood Angels, Iron Hands, Ultramarines, Death Guard, Thousand Sons, Word Bearers, Salamanders, Raven Guard, Alpha Legion
BS 2/5: World Eaters

I feel this reflects the amount of work actually put into making Inferno a high quality product.

Have someone "Fucking Iron Warriors" pic with J French?

>6MB
You fucking insane Sir.

Squad of Chainblade Adsecularis/40k Fulgurites is done building, aside from some metal chunks on their bases I need to greenstuff up. Next on the list, Xander Treides himself.

Any chance someone could post the building instructions for the MKIV from Burning of Prospero? It's my first kit and I want the arms to fit right... I can only find MKIII

any update on the 30k rulebook or should I just say fuck it and spray paint my telemon custodes dreadnoughts silver and play them as dreadknights

Supposed to be sometime this month.

What army is best if I still want to try to use infantry with minimal vehicle/MC support?
I just want my dudemens on the ground shooting and chopping the other guy to pieces, and it seems like infantry isn't worth the price of admission.

prospero only has mk3, calth had mk4

I feel smart now. Buddy gave me a few of them and said they were from Burning of Prospero...

>God tier
>Not Blood Angels
They haven't even had their special units

>Melee attacks are pseudo +1 strength
>Paragon Blades wound on a 2+
>Double wound swords wound on a 3+
>RoW gives them +1 initiative on the charge (not like EC are built around that or anything)
My prediction for Sanguinary Guard
WS: 5 BS: 4 S/T: 4 W: 2 I: 4 Sv:2+
+1 Initiative the turn they charge
Glaive Encarmines: +1 Strength, AP 2, 2 handed

Lol +1 to Wound being even remotely as good as Thousand Sons

...

Anyone read this? I've just finished Master of Prospero and enjoyed it, big lack of bolter porn but the interactions between Magnus and Perturabo and between Ahriman and Forrix made it worth it.

I've heard the Thousand Sons feature heavily in this book.

Have you considered adding some tubes and cables to them?

...

>implying artillery and phospex isn't totally fluffy for some legions

Thoughts? I find the rule where Sanguinius can randomly not charge shitty.

So shitty, a 1 in 6 chance to not charge? And how the fuck is he supposed to be able to best Horus in a fight?

A few of them do have a couple, but I wanted to keep things relatively uncluttered for ease of painting, and I quite like how they look now. Anything bigger like a Castellax conversion or any Magos will probably have a few bitz like that, though, since I do have the greenstuff roll maker.

Him getting his own free command squad feat. a Named Character on top of 2+ 3++ and other shenanigans seems a little much, even if he is expensive. I feel the "max 500pts" thing for Primarchs is becoming a problem now all the new ones have to be high-powered.

Still, that basically just reads "vanilla melee Primarch with a neat jump pack" to me, there's nothing that would make me go "WTF, that's OP as balls".

These rules are pretty wank.

Weapon skill 8 and initiative 6 for a primarch supposedly in the top three with Horus and Angron (Russ power creep can fuck off, he should lose his exothermic armour of bullshit and a point of WS), also he has nothing beyond these stats and crusader to help him in cc. Also can only assault 5/6 times

Kurze is jump without help, Mortarion can teleport and Corax gets a Swiss army knife jump pack but Sanguinius gets +D6 charge.

Weapons are very weird, either S9 soul blaze or S10 concussive, other wise they are pretty identical.

Nothing to actually justify spending 500 points, he's basically Fulgrim with a jump pack and a free command squad.

Trying this again. But fuck this tank is hard to assemble. Worse than the old Leman Russ tanks that had individual roadwheels and single tread links.

...

>screws up the post three times
Apply yourself, user.

I wish I knew why my images are posting upside down.

Have you cropped the photo after rotating it? That usually solves the problem.

G'day mate.

>And how the fuck is he supposed to be able to best Horus in a fight?
He's not.

Definitely leaning more towards than thunder warriors

Has anyone who's thought about doing Thunder Warriors used pic related at all?

I've seen some nice conversions that are similar in style, with Cadian+plume heads and banded armour

Are Valdors any good or is it worth investing a hundred or so points more in a Shadowsword?

Been reading my way through the first few Heresy books, and I've got to Flight of the Eisenstein. Mortarion is so Space British sometimes it's hilarious, probably pushed the Death Guard up a few notches on my "favourite Legions" list.

>first few Heresy books
you are still innocent

Wait till you get to book 41. I've heard it's a good one

Too soon man

I can't decide on a recon squad sergeant head.

I want to give the squad mohawk heads in the style of old SM scouts, but want the sergeant to stand out from the rest. Narrowed it down to basically pic related. The first two are more senior looking, the 3rd would set him apart on pure "I have the biggest hair, so I get to lead" and then there's just the option to give him a helmet, but don't know how it'd sit with the rest of the squad lacking helmets.

What about Legion?

Actually like that one

>Mortarion is so Space British sometimes it's hilarious
What does he do?

But yeah, DG (and IH) are both Space British, as are some of the Night Lords

It's not so much any particular thing he does as his general manner, like after the Jorgall fight where he spends most of the conversation making Garro nervous and trolling him a bit while offering him a drink and electing him his equerry. I know a few uni professors like that, perfectly nice to everyone but still somehow terrifying. Also "he'll have your job one day" to Typhon.

The Legion as a whole is pretty Space Northern, especially during fights.

Since the rest of the squad have helmets having the sarge wearing one will look weird as it's usually the opposite way round, alternatively it could be a nice change from the norm.

If you decide to go helmetless then I'd pick the first one, serious looking dude with some bionics looks nice and experienced so perfect for a sergeant.

By giving the sergeant a helmet, you could joke around about how he's the only sensible one in the group

I feel dumb for asking but the terminator squad rules says that they can take deathclaw drop pod. The fuck is a deathclaw drop pod?

>dork angels
>children
>iron whiners
>who?
>space furries
>imperial fisters
>edge lords
>shitty vampires
>ferrus manus and the redundants
>dick eaters
>ultrashits
>eew stinky poo poo
>transexual sons
>the legion formally known as the Luna Wolves
>the mental midgets
>the N.W.A.
>the Edgar Allen Poes
>The Beta Bitch Legion

It's a HH-era drop pod that can fly around after deepstriking, while costing 100 points

They are talking about eh Anvillus Dreadclaw, it's just the usual FW editing up to no good.

...

Really, nigga?

What is a WAACfag

It says fucking deathclaw

Win At All Cost fag.

[Summons the Elector Counts in distance]

"Aren't Marines" is the least dramatic insult ypu could possibly throw at Mech. At least call us cogfucking dogmatic lunatics or something else entertaining. ;)

Don't worry, there's more than a few of us content with lurking this slowpoke general. I don't want to shit it up while internally debating between, Dark Angels (Fallen), Sons of Horus or White Scars (Traitor).

Fella it's discussions like that we are here to hear. Tell us your deliberations.

Why not create a shattered legion of Sons of Horus and traitor Scars? 2 birds with one stone

>playing mechanicum when they literally can't win battles without help from marines
>playing mechanicum when marines conquer forge worlds by glaring harshly in their general direction

What is the source for these? As-is, I'm inclined to call fake and say it's a well-published fan piece.
The Sanguinary Guard rule and his lack of complexity are big red flags to me. Not only is he very different to any Primarch before him, he also totally sucks and I can't imagine FW holding back on the golden boy to this degree.
As said, he is a one-dimensional beatstick that sucks at his job and I cannot believe that this is the real deal. Flight is his major selling point and for that to be condensed into a longer charge, seems insane in comparison to Corax.
Plus the fluff blurbs seem really out of place and one of them is a quote from a 40k book.

If this is real, Bligh-less FW really fucking suck.

>What is the source for these?
Some guy on lexicanum, I don't suppose the fact that it refers to Blood Angels faction rather than Legionnes Astartes tipped you off?

Nigga you dumb

Has anyone read this? What happens?

Master of Prospero was fun.

The TS are not featured in Lord of Iron, it's a great book however. I enjoyed it a lot, Pert is one of my fav primarchs, so that may have clouded my opinion.

Legion was neat, it fleshed out the Imperial Army. Also, fuggin Strabo.

I like the Alpha Legion stuff. The cabal stuff is a bit meh.
