two chapters released at once for sad girl in card games. seeing as there won't be a dungeon meshi thread to crash this month, anyone else betting on whether the exhibition match is an agonizing grind, or a thrown match with a jank deck?

Is it ever anything other than an agonizing grind?
well it could just be good stuff.dec
There's 2 chapters left. My bet is ch21 since she learns she can play for fun, she goes back to her trash deck that she loved at the start of the mango, and then ch22 is an epilogue with her finally getting a bf.
Where can I find them?
I just use batoto. the reader was acting up earlier for me though.

i like the term "roman or romance" cards to refer to shitty cards that can be really strong or a win condition in specific situations.
happy ending
That's good, I was worried group drama had happened and they had stopped with releases.
Thanks. Pretty comfy read.
This last victory was pretty hype, kudos to UB control being able to defeat monored burn
ah nice! someone got to it before me, imma dump the two chapters as soon as i'm done reading and downloading them.
Go for it! I'd do it, but sadly am at work!
I just finished! it's good!
let's start this ride boys, i've been waiting to read this with Veeky Forums for a fuckin month.
...
Was there any new Veeky Forums related mangos in the last year? i was kind out of action for while
I know about Goblin Slayer
...
It's pretty fun. Manaka isn't even thinking of how to beat this guy, she does it on autopilot with her head full of emotion.
I wonder what Aoi's going to play? As an idol in a world where getting gud gets you into places, coupled with her spotting Manaka's tactics instantly, I bet she'll be a strong player.
in b4 she was taught WS by Manaka's mother
...
aaaah, you never forget your HS crush.
i'm excited for what deck archetype she'll be. so far everyone sorta has a personality that reflects their deck types in a way so i wonder if she'll follow that example or contrast it instead.

Man, the cards aren't translated. Sad!
Looks like mostly burn, though.
>A burn deck that isn't brain dead and takes skill
what a wonderful world they live in.

this ends chapter 19 folks, on to the next one!
I honestly really like the way Chikudake is pretty good in thinking out about the board state, but Manaka simply manipulates him even from the first game psychology-wise.
It's really telling of the high-level play.
Also that some of the other characters lose to pure dumb luck from getting mana-screwed etc.
persephone a qt
Oh no doubt, it's cool how much thought the author has put into this and fleshing out the characters. they think like actual card players.
You missed a page!
Between and he sacs the goddess for damage.
ah fuck me, thank you for that. i thought i had it all layed out.

shit boys, what will she do now?
nani?
N-NANI!?
>dicks the combo player with her own combo
>dicks the prison player with her own lock
>anally devastates the burn player with his own damage.
I fucking love this girl.
>that look of what the hell is going on?
mmm yes, i love it.
So what, she's playing Dimir reanimator control right now?
The keikaku queen strikes again.
...
but wait, the match is over, now what?
>what everyone else saw happening
>teasing
boner no
...
...
...
>hiding her /ss/
...
Those last three panels.
Heartbreaking.
we power of friendship now lads.
DO NOT. bully the Roman.
>Roman blown the fuck out
She is DESIGNED for bullying.
all right boys, final page. next up the idol, lemme know what you thought, are you hyped for final chapters?
I'm absolutely erect
...
>I'm absolutely erect
There is a boner in my heart.
>not enough cards for second deck
wow, poorfag
I love it when sports manga end early like this and manage to keep a good pace throughout. Dragging the story out over 50 tournaments arcs where each game takes 4+ chapters just plain suck.
>teasing
christmas cake is best girl.
"I'm sorry you felt that I influenced you"

>the first game
for those who don't understand what happened
>opponent guess which card is in his opponents deck and takes it
>plays it and the requirement is discard 6 cards over the course of a game to get an untargetable indestructible artifact that spawns 2 3/2 demons every turn.
>priest normally has no way of completing the quest
>plays the only nuetral card in the game that discards cards Deathwing
>it also clears the board
>also has one of the highest stat lines in the game
>the most roman of victories
>she pulled this off
>IN A TOURNAMENT VS THE META DECK
Who's the cutest wizard's soul, Veeky Forums? All of them have their good points!
This has been a fun ride. Anyone know how much is left?
Two chapters!
All pressure is off, except the love pressure!
I'd rather her learn to have fun with her assholish deck. That'd go full circle. It's what she knows how to play, after all.
>poorfag
literally the reason the whole story happened, are you even paying attention.
>that fucking face
all I could think of was pic related.
Well, yeah, the only reason she's playing is because her dad mortgaged the house to stockpile Treasure Cruises before the ban hit. They have literally no money.
Turns out Aoi's going to splash fatty/control, or somesuch!
Sakurai.
Wouldn't having the possibility of changing your deck be too broken? They don't mention side decks do they?
>U/G the color combo of shenanigans
it's gonna just be fat and draw or some shit isn't it? but U/G has so many offbeat options.
also more panel edits, because I am easily amused.
It's the exhibition match, everything's free game.
Ichinose has already won and got the money, this means she doesn't even have to play this match. It is just a "bonus" that the winner gets to do.
>implying
I-I'll counter your choice!
I remember how in the last chapter this character made an observation that basically amounted to elementary school arithmetic and it was considered a genius move. I really don't have high hopes for this character but she's probably going to win.
She comes hard at Manaka game 1 because she knows she's been getting savage in the tournament and thinks it's going to be that sort of match. Manaka gets really bummed out about getting kicked around like that after retooling her deck for fun, thinking guilty stuff about how this iswhat she was doing to people and how she will never escape tryhard play now.
Before game 2 Aoi figure out what was going on and sideboard in all her memes while Manaka sideboards in all her bring the hammer down cards. Manama crushes Aoi while getting increasingly depressed because now she thinks she's being mocked. Aoi gets really confused about what's going on here and calls Manaka out. They have a heart to heart where Sou explains there's a lot of ways to play Wizard's Soul and that there isn't anything wrong with savage af decks as long as you and your opponent are on the same page about what you're getting into. Manaka attains enlightenment about there being different ways to have fun and smiles tearfully at aoi saying thank you over and over. For the third game they have the meme versus meme match Manaka always wanted with everyone smiling.
>they have the meme versus meme match Manaka always wanted with everyone smiling.
in that setup I feel like having the no holds barred match but with manaka smiling is the better end. she's come to terms with her style of play and no longer thinks it's depressing or tied to her mother. this also sets up the conclusion where bitch boi is in love with her for being a brutal death machine at cards.
>in that setup I feel like having the no holds barred match but with manaka smiling is the better end. she's come to terms with her style of play and no longer thinks it's depressing or tied to her mother.
Well sure, I agree it would be cool to do that too, but she's been playing hard for 20 chapters. Even if she's not feeling shitty about it anymore, she'd probably like a change of pace.
>this also sets up the conclusion where bitch boi is in love with her for being a brutal death machine at cards.
In the epiloge she ties him naked to a chair, puts every deck he owns in front of him, and says "each time you beat me, ill touch you once."
>In the epiloge she ties him naked to a chair, puts every deck he owns in front of him, and says "each time you beat me, ill touch you once."
>if I make a single mistake it'll fall apart
>it is a burn deck after all
>this is what burn players actually think
>tfw manaka turns her frown upside down
burm does walk the razor's edge between winning and never going to have enough gas.
This entire series would also work with smug_ichinose.png
not as well as you'd think. someone edited a lot of her panels to be just that and found that it got kinda old after a time.
and despite my misgivings i'm still tempted to go through and do a partial rewrite anyway.
>What if Wizards Soul was a typical card game manga.
>For the third game they have the meme versus meme match Manaka always wanted with everyone smiling.
>Manaka starts to believe that you can have fun in wizard's soul, and that despair isn't want brings you good draws
>Kobayashi and her two pals corner Manaka in a back alley on her way home and beat her to an inch of her life, taking the prize money and ripping up her deck
>Ichinose bleeds out internally as she cries, dying alone in a pile of refuse with the mocking laugh of her mother the last thing she hears
This wasn't written by shindol calm down.
>Shindol will never write Wizard's Soul doujins
>Wizard's Soul will never get doujins peroid
;_;
There's no denying it.
Sakurai is the cutest.
