I've finally finished the last of the named necron characters, just in time to not have a codex until next year!

Next year? My LGS said they were expecting necron codex in December, did something change?

How would a baneblade fare up against a knight styrix.

In 3rd when I started there was a good reason to get the squads in the sacred number.. also up to 7th a 7 marine squad was a reasonable amount for the cost.
Now is better 5 men for shooting and 8-9 for melee IMHO. Some think 5 for melee is good.

The primaris Chaplin is a really nice looking model though and the absolver is no exception

I paint mine like Pallid Hand but I changed a few things about them like they have Mephiston Red Tabbards rather than Khorne Red and they have squig orange visors rather than evil sunz red.

He's only a playtester giving his opinion on unreleased rules to GW. And nobody knows how closely GW listens to the playtesters. So far the community feedback seems to have more impact on rules decisions.

I'd cream my pants if we get the old metal Flayed Ones back as plastics.

Reece isn't from GW, he runs Frontline gaming, a third party distributor that happened to create the Independent Tournament Circuit which uses a standard set of tournament rules which a lot of the major players have accepted. GW got him and his partner and employees to playtest 8th edition when it was new.
I can not confirm his opinion on tau.
But he doesn't have enough sway to really control that sorry of thing anyway.
