I just played D&D for the first time

I just played D&D for the first time
ask me anything

Why?

What kind of snacks do you like?

How did you like it?
How did you learn about it?
What was the session like?

It was disappointing, wasn't it?

Was this your first time playing ttrpgs at all?

You poor bastard

>immediately, leading negative questions
Well, we can tell Veeky Forums doesn't like that you played D&D.

Whose shirts do you wear, Major Tom?

Are you a cute boy?

i've been curious about the appeal of the game for a while now, and my college has a tabletop group that needed 5 players for a weekly adventure, so i volunteered

cream filled buns are fucking delicious

i enjoyed it quite a bit actually

i learned about it through word of mouth and various youtubers/streamers talking about it. Never had an opportunity to actually play it until now

we mostly spent the first hours creating our characters, then when we finally got to playing one hour in one of our party members betrayed us and we decided to murder the fucker

yup

What kind of character did you play?
What edition of DnD was it?
What is better, Elves or Dwarves? (choose wisely)

i played a half-orc sorcerer
it was 5th edition
i'm gonna have to say elves need to get purged off this earth for the betterment of all of mankind

WHO GIVES A SHIT

This is a good post

Did you have fun?
Did the other players have fun, too? If you answered to yes to both of these questions, you are an alright guy in my book.

Would you play it again?
How many times did someone roll a real 20 on a d20?
Do you know what all the funny dice are now or am I confusing you?

>real 20
>REAL 20
> REAL TWENTY
52 45 41 4c 20 54 57 45 4e 54 59 20

If you were given the ability to choose how to die, how would you go?

Natural 20 mate.

be careful you dont want to be confusing

>what all the funny dice are
The ones that caused the bard to accidentally the bartender

yes
yes

it's a weekly thing now so i'll be returning with the rest of the guys until the story is finished yeah

literally never

still pretty confused about the dice, why the fuck does the d10 have a 0 instead of a 10?

so that when combined with percentile dice you can roll up to 100

i would pick the highest die possible to increase my chance of a good roll :^)

>then when we finally got to playing one hour in one of our party members betrayed us and we decided to murder the fucker
Sounds like D&D alright.
