Hey Veeky Forums lurker here. I want to start getting into crypto but im blown away by the number of coins popping up seemingly every other day. I don't want to throw away all my cash like a mindless dumbass. I really don't know where/how to start help me out. Anything appreciated. Merry Christmas boys.

-learn about blockchain technology (how crypto works)
-set up a wallet before/after that step
-convert however much of your fiat that you feel comfortable investing into ETH (trading with ETH is cheaper than trading with BTC right now)
-pick out anywhere between 2-5 coins (depending on your investment size & strat) then research the fuck out of them, as in actually read the whitepapers and look into the teams involved for each coin and the people on the teams (helps you determine whether youre dumping $ into a scamcoin or not), investigate whether they have any promising partnerships (confirmed or rumored), and how the coin works + whether it actually has any real-world value
-invest however much $ you want with whatever strat you want in those coins
-hodl
-profit

You don't want them begging for money & wasting it on all kinds of luxuries, even becoming jealous and hateful of your luck, whether or not you share it with them.
