Let's make a Mad Max sci-fi setting

Let's make a Mad Max sci-fi setting

Best I can do is Serious Sam.

Earth desertified because of a Mythic Demon called The Global Worbal. Most cities left are held by the Republican Front, a Fascist organisation that thinks that killing everyone who believes in Global Worbal will keep him from knowing the location of their cities. But a young girl called Nausicaä etc. pp.

...

To use that one Anons idea of a Demon ravaging the world, without being retarded about it.
>A force of oblivion older than any texts swept across the world, devouring all in its path, and leaving only barren wastes behind.
>The last few survivors in this ruined world now huddle in their fortress cities, which protects them from the Cold Things outside.

Take the first movie, update the tech visually. And you're done.

Colony gets set up.
Colony dependent on supplies from earth.
One day the supplies stop coming. No one knows why.
People start starving and technology starts falling apart from lack of replacement parts, etc.
Chaos as people start fighting over the little remaining food, energy and tech.
Nearly a century passes and society has completely devolved into some feudal hellscape.

But in the original movie, society was still hanging on, since the nuclear war hadn't yet occurred.

They were just collapsing due to lack of gas.

So let's imagine what happens if the price of gasoline starts climbing every day, and next summer the news leaks that peak oil already happened and everyone in power had been keeping it secret to avoid panic. The reserves are almost gone. The US and China/Russia are contemplating engaging in a nuclear strike against each other to secure the other's oil reserves.

What happens? Cities become death-zones as food trucks stop delivering? Mass exodus to the rural areas outside the cities followed by quick die-off in every large metropolitan area?

The conspiracy theorists were right. The descent of cassini into saturns atmosphere created a chain reaction that birthed a new, dwarf star. But theres more to the birth of Saturn than it seems, magic conspiracy yada yada.

Gasoline production skyrockets as formerly unprofitable wells, tar, oil sands etc become profitable.

Major polities use the reprieve to revoke the regulatory locks on nuclear plant construction, ushering in a new golden age of electric cars and atomic power too cheap to meter.

Borderlands?

Borderlands. Done.

>Cities become death-zones as food trucks stop delivering?
Massive government intervention and people go back to horses and bicycle squads.
Longer distance deliveries dies out completely outside of railroads.
Superpowers might engage in Nuclear Warfare, but lacks the nukes needed to collapse civilization, so they only lose their superpower status in exchange for participating in the post Nuclear Wars.

Global trade might collapse, since boats are affected more than cars.

Mad Max but what if also laser guns lol: Fallout

Radical Astonauts return to Earth, carrying seeds of biomodificated plants based on potatos, to give earth farmable soil and food.
Kill me now, i want scans of this that isn't flipped

those panels are in a super jacked up order

Do you mean it's like Mad max but with space ships?

People fly around in junked up spaceships, perhaps all the habitable planets are gone or everyone is trapped in a negative spaceship zone like that one shitty episode of Star Trek.

Apocalypse World

>a thousand years after earth has died(pollution, war, whatever)
>a single ark-ship, filled mainly with people of a lower social status but with a few important people and security types, crashes on a barely habitable world
>the occupants thaw out and find that this is FAR from what they were promised
>anarchy begins to set in, fighting occurs, and people disperse taking what they can
>tribes and gangs sprout up across the hostile continent
>there were a lot of techy people onboard so the ship was mostly stripped down to make vehicles, weapons, what have you
And the sole time, they're being monitored/watched by an advanced alien race?[\spoiler]

So... Trigun?

How about in the mid-far future overpopulation has led to a dangerous water crisis. People fight for water and there are terrible die-offs. What civilization is left is dependent on hydro-farms and massive water tankers crisscross the barren landscape. Lawless gangs of bandits in mechs launch daring raids on them and are faced with less-than valiant lawmen, also in mechs. Mecha range in size from say 12' to 50.

Soon this becomes unsustainable. Law breaks down. Hydro-farms become settlements of their own. The only sanctuary they find comes from paying warlords tribute.

That one game, Rage, but not shit, then?

>With supplies of energy cells nearly exhausted in the far future following a major energy crisis and an intergalactic nuclear war, ex-Main Force Space Patrol officer "Mars" Maxwell Petramatansky roams the now-depopulated and desolate desert system in his scarred, black supercharged V-Wing Pursuit Special Interceptor several years after the events of the first film, scavenging for food, water, and power. His only companions are a Terran Cattle Grox and a rare functioning energy weapon – a sawn-off laser shotgun – for which energy packs is very scarce.

Eat-man manga pretty much
