Man i hope they pick that model up, it got dropped hard.
Elijah Hill
Nth for the Greater Good
Aaron Martinez
god i fucking hate tyranids
Gavin Ramirez
Quick, post an idea for a chaos spawn model or conversion that you think would look cool. Slightly harder mode: one for each god and maybe undivided too.
William Ward
You know a loose C'tan could be interesting: One that never met the Necrontyr, never got given a humanoid body. Just a huge cloud of gas drifting from star to star until some idiot provokes it.
Blake Williams
Spare daemon prince head upside down on a fenrisian wolf's body, flamer of tzeench and horror arms suck to it's sides and green stuffed into place, replace tail with tentacle.
Brandon Hall
Reposting: How much anti tank do I need in a 750 pt army? Asking as a complete beginner.
Leo Garcia
Why the hate user? While nids aren't my favorite race, they have really cool monsters, are by far the most impersonal (and thus scary to deal with) faction, have great designs, and Genestealer Cults have some of the coolest fluff in the game.
Jaxon James
Get cucked, faggot
Leo Walker
Spore sack from a venomthrope with the smokestacks from a maulerfield and some trailing wires.
Ryder Hughes
What if the reason Belakor is a Demon Prince with no master and a great and timeless destiny is because he's actually a loose, unbroken C'Tan?
Zachary Davis
>it's another "taufag posts faux-cryllic pseudo-soviet propaganda" episode You fuckers will never stop being the cringiest 40k players.
Thomas Turner
Can't be true, doesn't explain his inherent weakness to rocks.
Lincoln Carter
yeah youre right, theyre okay please leave
Lucas Green
at least one good dedicated unit with at least 4 lascannons or similar
Jordan Hernandez
Two cultist models cut up to be conjoined twins, then stick on a legless mutant riding them piggyback?
Austin Morgan
Not really, there's no more provoking it than taunting moss of lichen.
It need to be forcibly condensed in order to start perceiving event shorter than a millennium or less violent than a solar flare.
Gavin Flores
Actually, for even more ideas and stuff, even harder mode: create an idea for a chaos spawn fitting different legions.
Elijah Phillips
C'tan are floating star-gods, rock is 4x effective against fire/flying.
Aaron Morris
Would you guys still play 40k if every unit had ammo for their ranged weapons?
Grayson Hill
>buy 12 Chaos spawn boxes >pop out all the parts >pour them in a box >cover 5 ping pong balls in super glue >roll that shit in le box >??? >profit
Nolan Stewart
What do you think they'll give guard, considering they only sell models for cadia and catachan?
And before anyone says it, kreig is forgeowrld and will have their rules in their books.
Lincoln Gomez
I'm thinking of adding some Mechanicus to my SOB force. What do you think would be the best addition there? How are those walker tanks they have, they look pretty good for long range anti-tank.
Do you think reasonable fluff for SOB and Mechanicus in the same army would be that a Shrine World and Forge World share a solar system, so they have to cooperate when it comes to the defence of the worlds providing their resources?
Xavier Ortiz
Explorator fleet sets up nebula mining operation and tries to harvest the loose C'tan's body.
Adrian Cooper
yes but it would probably suck ass
John Moore
>gue'las buttmad over the quality of our based media and culture It's okay user, know that even with all your barbarism, the noble Aun'Va has seen to a place for you in the greater good should you choose to embrace it.
Wyatt Myers
A Khornifex. Just, a big Ol' Mark of Khorne Carnifex.
Dominic Clark
>considering they only sell models for cadia and catachan?
They sell models for Mordian, Valhallans, Vostroyans, and Steel Legion. That + Cadia and Catachan is 6, 7 could possibly be Scions.
Lincoln Allen
Herd of reindeer in the east of laplands licks lichen off a rock.
Carson Wright
>quality >based media Typing in pseudo-cryllic is anything but quality, it just makes you look like an autistic leftypol crossposter.
Josiah Price
Fair enough, the theory stands.
Sebastian Brooks
Neutron laser Dunecrawlers are pretty good long range anti-tank.
Connor Nguyen
>The C'tan lacks mortal context, so it's as dumb as a lichen
Jaxson Sanders
the fluff sucks but whatever buy an imperial knight or guard tanks, makes more sense
Ethan Cook
Say what you want user, but only one of us is sperging out over a choice in font.
James Smith
>a choice in font Dude, Cyrillic isn't a fucking choice in font, it's a completely different language. How dumb are you?
Benjamin Sanchez
How do you know lichen haven't been mapping the universe by starlight for the last 400 million years?
Aiden Fisher
Yes, they would be excellent. An Onager Dunecrawler with a Neutron Laser is the best anti tank weapon in the entire game, aside from super heavy or primarch bullshit. An Onager Dunecrawler with an Icarus Array is the best anti air gun in the game, especially now that everything from skimmers to jump pack infantry to fliers have the FLY keyword.
You could get away with the SoB and Admech butting heads over theological matters in the day to day running of the solar system, but putting their issues aside when the need arises. This happens very often in Commissar Cain novels. Remember both factions are made up of human beings (Skitarii are still, for the most part, human), and if you field a regular techpriest as your HQ rather than machine man thousands of years old, they could probably find a way to pragmatically get along on the battlefield.
Isaiah Brown
Cool. Is there anything else notable that would be good? Are any of the assault units particularly good? Getting those infiltrators up alongside my Dominions first turn would be fun.
I rather like the look of the Mechanicus stuff. It's got a baroque look that matches well with the SOB models. Marines/Guard rather lack that.
Austin Cooper
>the noble Aun'Va has seen to a place for you in the greater good should you choose to embrace it.
Just as soon as he bothers to make an appearance that isn't a hologram.
Zachary Ramirez
You could make them both the last surviving remnants from the same ruined Sub-sector who have come to travel together as sort of inter-planetary refugee do-gooders. It's give them both a reason to always travel together, a unique flavor to your force, and maybe even show off a bit of the faction's humanity.
Alternatively, the Hereticus Inquisitor in charge of your SoBs used to be a tech priest and after obtaining enough power to get them as a fighting force, made one of the orbiting moons a Shrine World and uses them as his or her own personal execution force.
Easton Lewis
>hating best race Shit taste, shit taste.
Logan Diaz
To back up SoB? I'd imagine you mostly want long range dakka from the Dunecrawlers. Infiltrators are a fun distraction unit that can pack a severe punch against hordes though.
Christopher Garcia
Are /pol/fags getting triggered by a font choice now of all fucking things?
Dominic Price
>Infiltrators are a fun distraction unit that can pack a severe punch against hordes though. They can also get pretty disgusting with Doctrina Imperatives now, hitting on 2+ with 3 hits instead of one from a 5+ in CC.
Colton Bennett
>a font choice How goddamn uneducated are you fucking Taucommies? en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cyrillic_script Read up and learn you dumbasses! It's literally a completely different alphabet. >muh /pol/! Literally not relevant to this at all, not that I browse /pol/ anyways.
David Wright
Why'd you guys take out the Death Guard Codex pdf Mega Link?
I can't find the master link, all I have is from my history tab.
I'm both amused and disturbed by how legitimate you think your grievances are.
Jaxson Martin
How the fuck is that /pol/ related?
Benjamin Jones
I'm just saddened that so many uneducated retards browse this site. That's it really.
Parker Adams
>guy points out that faux-cyrillic is retarded >he must be from /pol/? I mean, he's pretty stupid to come into a setting full of faux-latin in gothic script, and complain about people playing up a pulp-fiction ideas of Soviet propaganda for a side faction. But you are just completely retarded.
Matthew Sanders
Yeah, I think I'll pick up the Dunecrawlers to start off. Long range anti-tank is an area I could do with a bit more help. Though the change in 8e to how vehicles work made exorcists happier there they can be a bit unreliable.
From there I might expand into other stuff but that seems a fun thing to start with.
Cameron Howard
Depending on the implementation, sure
Daniel Garcia
Fleshmower when? I need to mow flesh!
Jeremiah Cox
The Start Collecting! box is a nice start. You get the dunecrawler and enough other stuff to have a patrol detachment.
Juan Harris
Should I buy Hoplites or Peltasts?
Ryan Lee
anyone know of any kool admech paint schemes, i play word bearers and daemons and im soooo tired of painting red.
Jackson Bailey
A lot of ranged-only units would get pretty miserable at that. With Tau, Necrons or SOB trying to melee when the ranged weapons run out.
Cameron King
This is what it has almost always been, just scream /pol/ at whatever content/opinions you don't like.
Carson Perry
>unironic use of the term "autistic leftypol" >weird fringe insistence on something no rational human being would actually get upset about
Not that user, but I could see how he could jump the gun and draw that conclusion. The clown shoe of /pol/ fits, but then it's so massive that most retards can fill it.
Jeremiah Sullivan
For now probably whichever one you think looks cooler, considering neither have 8th ed rules yet.
Leo Turner
>/pol/fag literally spergs out that some guy typing in some stupid font "looks like leftypol" >m-muh communism >how dare you accuse me of being from /pol/ after I dragged politics into 40kg again like a humongous faggot You fags always immediately get so defensive when someone calls you out for being from the autism containment board lol
Julian Price
>And that was when I knew I was dealing with bait
Owen Moore
jolyne a qt
Christopher Bailey
>weird fringe insistence on something no rational human being would actually lmao. if this is /pol/ then the entirety of Veeky Forums and especially the 40k people on Veeky Forums are /pol/. refer to this
Juan Cruz
Then maybe stop starting political shitfits in an unrelated thread on an unrelated board you insufferable fat faggot, lol
Samuel Baker
There's a game called the others 7 sins which costs about 20 quid and comes with 6 amazing spawn models that are tailored .
Pic is the gluttony one which is perfect for nurgle spawn. There's sloth ones which work too. There's also lust for slaneesh, wrath for khorne and envy/pride for tzeentch.
Logan Carter
do hoplites and peltast work like their ancient namesakes or nah? because if they do I might have to start ad mech
Aiden Roberts
>political shitfits >pointing out that someone is using a faux-alphabet to evoke communist imagery is a political shitfit Could you try harder please? This bait isn't provocative enough.
Dominic Morales
Me thinks the lady doth protest too much
Connor Brooks
Literally triggered by a font you associate with socialism to the point where you accused the guy of being leftypol. Don't you have some anti-antifa LARPing to do?
Brody Miller
I dunno, but the Hoplites look pretty cool at least.
Levi Anderson
You know, saying "makes you look like an" is not an accusation that you are one right?
Isaac Ortiz
>triggered by a font you associate with socialism to the point where you accused the guy of being leftypol Subtle bait with "a font" there, nice work. Try it with a /b/tard and you might get an angry response. >you associate with socialism to the point where you accused the guy of being leftypol Not really, I just pointed out that the use of faux-Cyrillic is also something that leftypol does, and of course it goes without saying that leftypol are idiots.
Liam Brooks
Why would you ever equip your Fire Warriors with Pulse Carbines? And why would you ever bring Fire Warriors or Breachers when you can just bring more Pathfinders?
Joshua Miller
Where are the rules for them?
Gabriel Nelson
A cute!
A cute!
Levi Phillips
There are none currently. They're going to be in the next Imperial armor though someone emailed FW asking about rules for them since they had rules in 7th to which the response was "we'll talk to the rules designers about getting some rules for people that own them".
tl'dr no rules atm, maybe soon, defiantly eventually.
Asher Sullivan
>Why would you ever equip your Fire Warriors with Pulse Carbines? Because they look cool, shame GW made them them a retarded option.
>And why would you ever bring Fire Warriors or Breachers when you can just bring more Pathfinders? Because FW are troops.
Kevin Clark
It gives you a second shot threat range of 24+d6 rather than 21.
Christopher Jackson
Sure, but Pathfinders are cheap enough to spam as multiple outrider detachments and commanders are valuable enough to where the HQ tax is just going to be stuff you were going to bring originally.
Remind me though because I'm still new to 8th, you can fire your markerlights and your pulse carbines in the same shooting phase, right?
Jace Barnes
I like fluffy lists, I'm no WAACfag that will flip the table when he loses.
Joseph Rodriguez
Does anyone actually like weapons with D6 shots or D6 damage?
Gavin Gutierrez
Couldn't you just get that with a Cadre Fireblade though for 40-something points?
Tyler Jenkins
>Sure, but Pathfinders are cheap enough to spam as multiple outrider detachments and commanders are valuable enough to where the HQ tax is just going to be stuff you were going to bring originally. Most places limit you to 3 Detachments in a standard 2k game. Troops heavy Detachments grant more CP. Troops get universal ObSec with Chapter Approved and most places are already running it this way since they know it's coming soon anyways. Commanders will get nerfed in CA/Tau Codex, whichever comes first.
Basically, plan for the future, even if Pathfinders might be a better option right now.
>Remind me though because I'm still new to 8th, you can fire your markerlights and your pulse carbines in the same shooting phase, right? Unless it says otherwise in the Markerlight rules, yeah, I'm pretty sure you can.
Hunter Edwards
>D6 damage is really good. Lascannons are the best AV/ AMC weapon at the moment which feels right.
>D6 attacks is good if you can spam it , like flamers, grenades, etc. Not as good on single shot things like battlecannons or demolishers.
Julian Rodriguez
D6 damage is amazing, D6 shots sucks ass.
Lucas Ross
Okay, it gives you a third shot threat range of 24+d6 rather than 21.
Isaiah Hernandez
>D6 shots >can miss with all of them >D6 damage >whatever you roll is final Gee I fucking wonder
Aaron Perez
Fair enough! I've got the Pathfinders to spare, but those are some p. decent reasons. Now to convert some more breachers...
Kayden Wilson
At -1 Ballistic Skill. And outside of the 30" mark it has 0 threat range compared to the Pulse Rifles 1 shot up to 36".
Jonathan Gonzalez
I like being able to do a lot of damage with four Lascannons, but I don't like there being an extra random step to resolution and wouldn't want to try to kill something with one lascannon.
Ethan Lewis
Is it worthy to start a Death Guard army? Or is it a bad codex?
Lucas Richardson
Could you fucks standardize the name thread name.
Normally I type "k gen" or "0 gen", but you had to fuck it all up.
And why the fuck is forge world selling tech priests cheaper than GW?!
Colton Taylor
Yeah in general because probability if something does d6 hits or damage it's going to be very strong if you can spam multiples as you'll average out at 3.5 per weapon but obviously just relying on one is swingy.
Liam Price
You asked for a reason why. If you wanted a litte bit extra range for your extra shot/a bit more if you're willing to suffer-1 for it you would take the carbine. You would sacrifice elsewhere for it so its not the best choice, but it's a reason why you would take it.
Hunter Carter
i think its p good, mortal wounds out the wazoo
Jace Bennett
It's a good dex, but with the potential for both good and bad lists.
